Cruisin' Records presents an exciting compilation containing six full-length extended versions of summer-ish Italo-Disco tracks, selected from its vast catalog to commemorate in advance its 40th anniversary (1983-2023). "Takes Over" is compiled by Nello Jay, remastered by Dom Scuteri and produced by Best Record. Some epic Cruisin' hits right here of which most are released in 1985. Up beat tracks that havent had the same amount of shine as some of the well known hits. Oblrec003 is a must-have for any UKG or breaks enthusiast with contributions from across the globe. On the A-Side, Columbia's Espresso Bandini (aka Nicolas Duque) delivers "The Network" - guaranteed to devastate many dance floors with a deep bassline, infectious groove, and memorable melodies. He's joined by Brussels-based Enrico Dragoni, who serves up a very clean cut of UKG with "Dangeeeer". The track features subtle hints of obscurity and a unique approach to UKG, which no doubt secures him as someone to watch out for. But that's not all! There’s something to be said for getting noticed, for standing out from the crowd. West London’s T.Williams is one of those people, having accomplished a full sweep of merited recognition over the years. Emerging onto the house scene in 2010, T.Williams instantly marked himself as a breakthrough artist with a difference; his unique take on house music turning heads. Far from a newcomer, his path as a musical artist started in the grime scene as Dread.D. Signed at the tender age of 17 with grime anthem Invasion on Jon E Cash’s Black Ops label, Williams went on to have mass success in the grime and bass world selling thousands of singles worldwide. After a five-year reign, Williams found himself veering towards the world of house music. With a new found love for the sound and its sub-genres, T.Williams forged a signature sound influenced by his grime days, jungle, and garage. With a style that undoubtedly impacts, T.Williams’ crossover has been the catalyst for his success. Not only rife with groove and feeling but meticulously produced and engineered with deep rumbling basslines, the unapologetic bounce of grime and smooth vocals that bleed through African infused percussion work. While in 2010 the industry took note when hit record ‘Heartbeat’ featuring vocalist Terri Walker made an impression, it was throughout 2011 that T.Williams defined himself - releasing solo works on his imprint Local Action and Pattern with remixes for Maya Jane Coles, Ben Westbeech and Skream. Not stopping at pricking the ears of fellow artists and those on the dancefloor, the end of 2011 saw Williams nominated for ‘Best Breakthrough DJ’ by DJ Mag, ‘DJ Stars of 2012’ by Time Out and featured in The Guardian. Two relationships came to the forefront in 2012 that propelled Williams to greater heights. The first was his weekly show on legendary London station, Rinse FM and the second, Williams’ relationship with label PMR through his remix of Javeon McCarthy’s ‘Lost Time’. The remix was named Record of the Week by BBC Radio 1 and supported by tastemakers Annie Mac and Fearne Cotton. From here T. signed to the label exclusively releasing his debut EP for the label in September 2012, and in the process receiving further support from BBC Radio 1. Further remixes of Mikky Ekko, Wretch 32 and Lianne La Havas followed suit, as well as his biggest to date - Disclosure’s ‘Latch’. Powering dancefloors across the globe, T. went on to play three US tours, numerous festival stages, and deliver a second EP on PMR titled ‘Feelings Within’. The EP once again spanned a number of bases, from club bangers to heartfelt vocal driven tracks alike. Gaining his own monthly residency show with BBC Radio 1, 2013 ended with T. having played over 100 shows across four continents. 2017 marked the launch and release of the first collaborative EP with UK producer Julio Bashmore, via their joint independent Conch Records, a label aiming to push out more underground cross-genre music with heavy rotation from the likes of Moxie and Shy One. With an ever-expanding global tour schedule and further solo releases on the legendary NYC house label Strictly Rhythm turning heads, T.’s upward trajectory has never showed signs of slowing down. Selected to soundtrack the social media campaign for boxer Anthony Joshua in 2019 and now using his technical prowess as a musician to educate the next generation of rising stars at London’s respected Point Blank Music School has cemented his status as one of the UK music scene’s key players.

Next up on Time Is Now is a fresh cut from prolific Japanese producer Stones Taro: a kaleidoscopic EP which traverses the boundaries of genre to create something truly unique, occupying the intersection of UKG, electro, breaks and house.

After the raging success of previous releases on Scuffed Recordings, Breaks 'N' Pieces and more recently on his own imprint, Nc4k, the Kyoto producer makes his Time Is Now solo debut with Super Hot Floor EP. Kicking things off is the pacey, club-ready banger "Integration" with stuttering synths and a driving bassline which leave little room for respite beneath a fierce breakbeat electro rhythm. On "Straight Walk" Taro offers a new take on speed garage with a sharp two-step rhythm and the suggestion of acid-tinged synth stabs which lure you in before reaching their full form in high-energy intervals of 4X4.

After "Watching You" strips things back, the B-side brings the energy with Pulse X style stabs ("Super Hot Floor") and old school house-indebted Korg organ melodies a la Robin S ("Dry Flower").

Ronan lands on nascent X-Kalay sub-label Another Place with renewed focus and a new EP. Musing on personal crossroads, ‘Leaves of Life’ is a highly evocative contemplation on the tides of life. It’s the culmination of a personal arc having sat with the material for six years, further refining the lush, introspective sound that’s characterised his output to date. The outcome feels similarly unhurried; a pristine, genre-spanning exploration rendered with meticulous attention to detail. Soul-bearing stuff interspersed with words of reassurance through quietly spoken vocals. The opener strives for utopia. Carried away on a warm current, ‘Song of Surrender’ initiates with a gorgeous unfurling of life-affirming trance that begs repeat immersion. Comparatively direct, ‘Cure for Toxicity’ comes on a breaks-driven flex before a fleeting switch-up into 2-step territory. Supple groove and jazz modalities fuel airily introspective D&B as we shift focus to title track ‘Leaves of Life’. Then, finally, Ronan closes things out with a ritual purification of sorts. Deploying more breaks but bordering on new age, ‘Sacral Dub’ exudes a soothing, massaging quality with dubby tendencies in full effect.

Xciot EP is the first release by Pyramid Of Nahash (Pyramid Of Knowledge and Nahash), who in this project for Asphalt Records, tag team to merge breakbeat science and bass experiments with classic analogue Trance and early Ambient-Techno melodies. The result is a cinematic, sci-fi safari through outer space in a futuristic hardcore vessel.

Remixing duties have been handed to a second collaborative effort: Rvshes (Logos and Db1), who in their Recombination Mix, carve, bend and reshape the original material into a rugged, angular, yet melancholic techno artefact.

Millia, real name Akeem Asani, was born and raised in the Midwest and is now based in the Windy City. With his dancefloor-ready solo project seeing releases on Sweat Equity, Knightwerk, and a string of self-released singles online, Millia has received support from NTS regulars Re:ni & Laksa, Bradley Zero, and Otologic, as well as club and festival plays from Nick León, Tammo Hesselink, Gramrcy, LCY, and Shanti Celeste. For his latest offering, Millia readies two rich organic and dub-influenced tracks for Roy Mills’ Local Knowledge imprint. ‘acab Break’ combines psychedelic samples with tripped out breaks, deep subs, and dense, spacey atmospheres. On the flip, ‘Trip Dub’ delves further into dubwise territory, delivering a tense percussive affair of cavernous soundscapes and weighty drums that stretch effortlessly across the B-side. Elsewhere, with Kindtree and Concave Reflection, Akeem is part of the downtempo super-group Purelink, who enjoyed acclaim with their ‘Bliss / Swivel’ 12” and followed with their debut EP on UwU Dustbath and a performance at New York festival Sustain/Release. Akeem picked up Resident Advisor’s ‘Mix Of The Day’ for his Motion Ward mix in 2022, and has featured DJ mixes with Animalia, Knekelhuis, Warning and c-.

Midex is a recording alias of London producer Acolytes. He has previously released with Alter, 5 Gate Temple and Xquiste. His roots are in the London noise scene. His music draws from this, as well as grime, glitch and ambient.

Rua 29 is both a physical and a virtual place. The Milan-based electronic producer Maxwell Simons brings together a bunch of diverse worldwide collaborations into a work of boundless energy. Shuttling between hard techno, footwork, and bass, the artist orchestrated every bit: “ Big Space and I worked side by side on 4 tracks, starting from his ideas to which I added my own approach to chopping and editing samples over a pad of arrhythmic drums”. From Johannesburg to LA, all the way to Philadelphia and back to Milan through a virtual connection that creates a collective scenario where different characters find their home base. The first track, In Yo Feelings, kicks off with the audacious rap by Shamon Cassette on top of chop and stitch materials and a rolling bassline. To keep up the frantic rhythm, Nhjf, and The Beast They Made (Redux) feat. Buddy Leezle add even more obsessive drum interplays, creating a weary zig-zag among hard techno and jungle. The tiny dexterous moves of Sax Appeal feat. Richi Rich reminds the most sped-up cricket sounds of DJ Rashad, which follow through into a perpetual motion with Mr Kind and High Love where the bass gets physical. Getting down even harder in Showing Rage with powerful gutter beats and the dissident rhymes of Shamon Cassette. Nhjf Remix closes this world-wide virtual journey clustering unbridled bass intensity delivered by the UK based producer Deft.

UXY Dosing© (ud) is a maximalist genre of electronic music that refers to sound productions that make for a radical succession to the minimalist genre, regardless of style and aesthetic practice though mainly associated with the field of sound arts.

More precisely, it designates that which embraces heterogeneity and allows for complex systems of juxtapositions and collisions, in which all outside influences are viewed as potential raw material. However, UD relies more on singular experimentation rather than the addition of musical characteristics attached to specific genres. Subsequently, UXY Dosing© gives birth to MDM (Maximal Dance Music) which, beyond a sole matter of genre, remains linked to the high consumption of dextrose associated with milk, which de facto shares the same acronym as MDM (Maximal Dextrose & Milk). Warning: Hazardously sour bangers! Mani Festo joins the SweetBox ranks with two acid hardcore jungle tekno A-bombs: ‘Toxic Waste’ and ‘Warehouse 2.0’. A true man of the moment, Mani’s finely tuned productions are in high demand right now. His catalogue boasts releases for the likes of Rupture, Hooversound, Wncl, E-Beamz and the Club Glow imprint he co-runs with Denham Audio, Borai and LMajor. His SweetBox debut starts deceptively slow, building up a head of steam via an incessant pulse and faint industrial chug. Once ‘Toxic Waste’ lets loose its slamming four-to-the-floor kick, however, it’s on a one-way train to total mayhem. Blistering breaks burst through the gloom as the track hurtles onwards like an unstoppable juggernaut, finally taking control in the form of clattering percussive carnage. Flipside ‘Warehouse 2.0’ sees a similar pairing of jackhammer kicks and a chunky breakbeat, this time sliced through by a ravenous acid line that rises and rises, until it threatens to swallow the track whole. Paired with gargantuan, psychedelic arpeggios, as the title suggests, this one’s foaming at the mouth for a warehouse to pack to the rafters. Another two unstoppable weapons for both the Mani Festo and SweetBox arsenals, ‘Toxic Waste’ / ‘Warehouse 2.0’ will be available on digital and limited edition 10” vinyl (SweetBox’s first 300 pressing) with hand-numbered, screen-printed sleeves.

The latest by UK rave reanimator Low End Activist is a nine-track suite of skeletal hardcore, pointillist drum n bass, and deprivation chamber dub, chopped and brewed in homage to the countryside sites of golden age dance gatherings: Airdrop. From Waterstock to Yarnton Road to White Horse Hill, England’s early 90’s dance summits loomed large in LEA's familial and artistic landscape as a youth, trading tapes and pumping tunes across long weekend afternoons: “Fast music to soundtrack slow days.”

An atomized stew of stabby samples, bubbling bass, airhorns, echo, and blitzed BPMs, the cuts take cues from key heroes of the “where were you in ‘92” set – Tango & DJ Ratty, Top Buzz, DJ SS, DJ Seduction, Dr. S Gachet – then fling them to the four corners. The record ‘Rīgas Elektromašīnbūves Rūpnīca (rer)’ has many distinctive characteristics. I would like to draw listeners’ attention to the fact that the recording was made with 16 microphones in an abandoned factory in Sarkandaugava (Rīga, Latvia). Over two days, Kodek recorded how the music sounds specifically in this vast space – how the window panes vibrate, how the metal lockers rattle, and how the sound waves propagate uniquely. This created a special and unparalleled musical sound. In this record, Kodek not only plays musical instruments but also the space itself, resulting in an added value or a new chapter in the history of world music – The Sound of Sarkandaugava. – Kaspars Rolšteins Artist bio: Musician Raivo Vainovskis, widely known as Kodek represents a narrow nonacademic electronic music genre while having proven his excellence and gained international recognition performing in countless electronic and experimental music festivals like CTM Festival in Berlin, Amsterdam Dance Event in Amsterdam, Cynetart Festival in Dresden, Mutek festival in Montreal among others. Kodek is a core figure behind the globally acclaimed Latvian electronic music instrument manufacturer Erica Synths and often uses their synthesizers in his work. Since 2011 he co-organizes experimental music mini-festival Brīnumu Nakts in his native city of Madona which is one of the rare occurrences of such events outside the Latvian capital Riga. Since 2005 both in his releases and live performances he challenges his audiences with his unique stage presence and sonic aesthetic that is rooted in the spirit of truly independent music and art. Kodek has been nominated (and has won) The Annual Latvian Music Recording Award in the category ‘’The best electronic music album’’ for his ‘’Flavours From The Future’’ LP in 2012.

Next up is Josh Brent - revered throughout the globe for releases on his own Schatrax label, Josh has been releasing records since 1994 and has built a back catalogue of exceptional consistency. Stepping aside from his habitual sound Josh turns in 'Then Again', a 4-track collection of tumbling Breaks and Garage shuffles that have been tried and tested on Fabric's system.

Jonas Landwehr & Felix Fleer, the minds behind R-Imprint, are back with their youngest
brainchild ‘Serial Sound’. They are starting the new label off with an expertly crafted five track
EP ranging from emotive 4 to the floor anthems, over ideosyncratically spaced out IDM
experimentation, to cutting edge UK-infused club weapons. ‘Secrets’ is opening the A-Side with
a raw vocal performance by LAINE, fused with an infectious groove, building up to a euphoric
climax of layered poly-synths, sample flipping and abstract textures. ‘Blinded’ is carrying this
vibe over into a more toolish format while maintaining an intricate narrative arch. ’Water Seven’
rounds off the A-Side with a more dreamy excursion into ambient territory. ‘Windows’ opens
the B-Side with a catchy theme of pulsing modulated chords supported by subtle, micropercussive textures. Aeon is closing off the record with an aggressive, synthetic rhythm,
featuring syncopated vocal slices, contrasted with enthralling pad sounds. With this release the
duo has opened up their sound into a more mature & eclectic direction, while staying true to
their signature brand of contemplative harmonies and detailed textural layering.

After two EPs on Pleasure Club, Johnny Hunter returns to the label with his first full length -Dub Is King LP. Fusing all of the styles he has become renowned for through his releases and DJ sets, this album see’s him incorporate dubby techno, spacey electro and UK garage flavours into one eclectic yet cohesive body of work.Created throughout the trials and tribulations of the last two years, Dub Is King LP is a message of optimism, unity and freedom, and is also a deep homage to Johnny's roots in soundsystem culture.

On Gift n Curse Principle, Jnn Aprl puts forth her own signature interpretation of “techno”, relying on her art school drop out sensibilities and analog ear. After spending the better portion of the last decade immersing herself in the heartland of electronic music, The Seoul by way of Chicago by way of Detroit by way of Seoul again producer and DJ is proud to present the debut of her new EP as well as her new label, Rene Koala. Find on the record a set of tracks spanning the gamut, made with the assistance of a MPC 1000, a Prophet Synth, vocal effect and some grit. For the dancers and for the artist alike, each song represents a journey. 'Gift n Curse Principle' employs a minimal beat with raw intention. ‘Freedom Bondage’ taps into a low frequency and steady modulation, emulating a heartbeat. Interplanetary Criminal returns to Time Is Now with four future UKG classics in the making.

James 'Bursnki' Burnham aka Constant Sound label boss and garage head Instinct is showing no signs of running out of ideas despite having put out such a high amount of high-class club weaponry in the last few years. He goes big once more with this latest 12" which subtly features the iconic vocal cries from Moby's 'Go' but repackaged in a shuffling and banging garage groove with dark synths and wonky bass. Live artist Innellea dropped his limited vinyl deluxe album. ‘The Belonging’ including two bonus tracks, poster and colored vinyls. The LP forms part of a conceptual storytelling project. The album features focus track ‘Shelter’ w. CamelPhat & Monolink, along with diverse and significant collabs with Grammy winner Flowdan, Swedish indie singer/songwriter Karin Park, live musician Juan Hansen. Additionally the deluxe vinyl album includes Innellea´s feature with Paris Paloma 'under Earth'.

Hhit’s unprecedented experiments with rhythm and acoustic textures on its debut album ‘Disleksikon’, released in 2019, was well received. On Artefacts Hhit takes it a step further. A truly sensational sonic realm is explored.

Hihats In Trees’ obsession with singular physical objects, materials of wood, stone, metal evokes a dark dystopian sentiment and a recurring melancholy. A poetic expression of the solid object. In Artefacts, through this language with materials, the physical objects come to life sonically. The 10 compositions revolve around this peculiar vocabulary of texture and rhythm, balancing between the dance floor and a solitary ritual, reminiscing on Hhit’s major influences of gqom, detroit techno, hiphop and experimental ambient.

Fashion designer Dries Van Noten was fascinated by Hhit’s musical experiments, This resulted in a collaboration with photographer Viviane Sassen for his Spring Summer collection in 2021 with music by Hhit, partly from Disleksikon, partly tracks later to be released on Artefacts. Artefacts is released on the Brussels based label Maloca Records, run by dj, producer Le Motel.

Latest release on Earthtrax since 2020. Multi genre release with two tracks, one leaning towards dubstep, dub techno and ambient while the other is more up tempo, driving and jungle/drum and bass oriented with an ambient/atmospheric quality, which is apparent in both tracks.

DJ Elephant Power (Nicolas Baudoux) based in Brussels, Les Octaves de la Musique awarded musician, is returning with his new EP ‘Blowing From Above’ on May 2024 with limited edition vinyls. The abundantly creative producer never tires of exploring the possibility of new sounds and rhythms. This time he delves deep into numerous genres from breakbeat to bass and he added more colours on each track which composed, performed and produced by himself. Mastering was done by Beau of Ten Eight Seven Mastering in UK. This new EP will be the first page of the upcoming album in June 2024. ‘Blowing From Above’ feat Eunsol Now you entered the city where you can feel the atmosphere of heat with full of energy. This is located on the mountain of Detroit and built on the solid ground of analogue synth signals. Filtered synth and bassline are the main columns of the building. In the main lab, the next satellite has been developing on woah woah sound mattress. Visitors can experience zero gravity in the room in the middle of kick and snare which provides perfect unbalance. ‘Infinity’ A colourful new dish is ready for you. You will feel beautifully balanced and harmonious tastes of progressive techno, trap and bass. This astonished dish was sourced the very best of heavy bass and synth melody for well balanced scent with thoughtful contacts. Geomungo, a traditional Korean string instrument, enhances and amplifies stunning ingredients and it makes a highlight with amazing pairings.

Squeezing every last drop out of a catchy piano lick, TV snippet and drum break; the track really does highlight the unrivaled programming prowess of our Irlam renegade who's taken Sp1000 trickery to its absolute zenith.

'Money Talks' sees our cheeky ragamuffin dictate a life affirming sunrise over Pomona - pre-gentrification of course; a thousand smiles and memories of old Mancunia shimmering in the early morning industrial haze. And an abject slight at those who put profits above people - another poignant ode to our changing cityscape driven by the most addictive boogie-based groove and clattering Linn drums.

Dima Disk is back in action & on the shelves with six tracks of dark & moody takes on jungle/breaks on freshly registered Surve Records. Our informants reported that the duo of Robert Nikolajev & Ragnar Rahuoja might have been sitting on this for a while. We last heard of them on Rubadub’s white label series in 2017. The wait is easily forgivable though –– take “Maribo” with its propelling bass-engines, high flying synth stabs & hi–hat skelter for starters. Sweaty! Or “Pahakas” full of mischievous funk & rumble plus that firm “Woooh!” sample. Smokey, energetic dance equipment for you & yours.
