Welcome back to sublabel Trix Trax, our series dedicated to sharing the Techno side of things.

After a little hiatus Trix Trax is back with a stacked four track VA, Technotations Vol. 1. Blending techno, IDM and breaks this releases showcases some of the many styles and energies the genre has to offer.

Starting off the VA, we have the track ‘Losing’ from Japanese producer Magpost. This loopy, hypnotic groover will add a layer of intrigue and mystery to your deep and moody sets!

Next up we have ‘Rise’ from JD Typo who’s debut EP, started off the Trix Trax series. This speedy techno cut will cause mayhem on the dance floors, nourishing souls in its wake with ethereal lush pads and vocal chops that creep in as the track progresses!

On the flip side we have a sobering track from Ukrainian producer Taras Vinnichenko called 24.02.22. Created the day Russia invaded Ukraine, t’s an auditory diary of Taras’ reaction to the unfolding of events. The crunch of the bass and breaks audate the panic and disarray on the ground.

Closing off the EP we have a unique groover from US producer Mr. Projectile who recently released an album on Wex sub label, La Luna. This crunchy and jittery cut takes you on a bass heavy, boom-filled journey of speedy techno and IDM!

On the sleeve, Sonia Malpeso delivers another whacky custom design on the front sleeve as well as a beautiful typographic showcase on the back and inner sleeve!

This limited release features pantone colors on the outer and inner sleeves and also on the labels!

Mused Noise 005 features two original tracks by Daniel Chavez, a DJ & Producer born and raised in North Carolina where he discovered House music through artists like Kerri Chandler & Masters at Work. He eventually moved to Chicago where he worked at the famous Gramaphone Records. â€œReturn Jamâ€ EP was written & produced in 2021 as the dance music scene was returning to full force after being dormant due to the Covid-19 lockdowns. A1â€™s Return Jam kicks off with ambient textures creating an open soundscape with dubby pads and a driving bass line to keep the dance floor moving. His track on the B side, â€œNumber 3â€ follows a similar trend. A2 features a Return Jam remix from Pressure Point, an Italian DJ & producer who started to spin records at the age of 14. Raised among House & Minimal, Pressure Point brings together the influence of these two genres very nicely with a stripped-back electronic approach. Clearlight returns, two years on from his DNO debut alongside regular collaborator Owl, with five otherworldly solo excursions.

What’s most striking about the Belgian’s work is the way he brings digital textures to life. Like an alien biosphere that doesn't abide by our own natural laws, his soundscapes are irregular and uncanny, but in a way that makes them feel all the more real.

Tracks like ‘Super Strong’ and ‘Heavy Feet’ sway and wobble to cumbersome beats, lumbering through swamps of croaking, chirping, fizzing things. The former eventually collapses into total abstraction, while the latter endures blasts of technoid bass, like the retrorockets of some hulking spacecraft coming in to land.

‘Spinning Head’ is powered by a buzzing oscillator that rolls back and forth across the stereo field. Paired with assorted clattering, clanking percussive debris, it’s an unnerving yet oddly pleasant experience, as if someone were rummaging around between your ears to help find a part that’s come loose.

Lead track ‘Water Willy’ is stranger still. Shifting from something akin to an exotica record played at the wrong speed to a melancholy whalesong lullaby, its twangs, chimes and plodding bass pulse create an eerie but beautiful ambience reminiscent of the deep ocean.

Only bonus track ‘Salt Cube’ is willing to break the spell, upping the pace to deliver the EP’s most traditionally dancefloor-friendly cut in the form of glitchy minimal d&b, with a heavyweight halftime switch post-breakdown.

Taking sounds from the club, but clearly not feeling forced to cater for it, Clearlight grows alternate realities that feel familiar, but offer wondrous, illuminating new experiences. Step inside and join him.

First up is Road Map, Bendersnatch returns with a no-nonsense club friendly techno tool designed to
pave the way to the underground party you are in no doubt driving towards. Sophistry comes next RVP
beams down their new 4 to the floor, house infused guitar riffs with crunchy drums projected straight
from the mother ship. Maxlow returns with a spacey odyssey Shooting for Saturn featuring a return
collaboration with Motor City Strings with Erin Z, showing off dreamy violin that will no doubt take you
on a journey worthy of space & time. Lastly, Infolines welcomes Acid Jerks, newcomers to the label

Opting to remain “anonymous and off the radar”, the enigma surrounding Bendersnatch allows their
music to do the talking. More is known about Mike Petrack and Aran Daniel AKA Remote Viewing
Party, part label-founders and a pairing who have appeared on Resident Advisor’s stage at Movement
Festival Detroit in the past. The same cannot be said for the mysterious Maxlow, who once again
