A Detroit classic! This track inspired the whole Techno scene…

Abstand is a duo project by Martin Brugger and Simon Popp, both members of the Munich-based jazz group Fazer. On their debut 12″ Opek they provide off-kilter polyrhythmic percussion psychedelia, layering live and unedited drum tracks blended with sparse electronics that add a subtle Middle Eastern tint.

Over the course of the last two decades, Detroit-based duo ADULT. (Nicola Kuperus and Adam Lee Miller) have released six albums and nineteen EPs and singles across some of our favorite labels: Mute, Ghostly International, Thrill Jockey, Clone Records, Third Man Records, and their own label, the revered Ersatz Audio.

Following his R&S debut, Afriqua (aka Adam Longman Parker) presents Vice/Principle, his second release for the renowned Belgian label. Recorded in the summer of 2017, Vice/Principle began as one of Afriqua’s seasonal music packs, a quarterly offering of original tracks shared privately with a small cohort of friends and collaborators. R&S quickly picked up the collection, which expands on the melodicism and textural depth explored on his previous release for the label, Aleph.

The Shanklin Sessions came out of the Shanklin Road studio that Andy Sims shared with one of his partners from Soft Rocks, Bobby Coulman. Acid Jan started it's life as a Jan Hammer edit that Andy was doing for one of Soft Rock's Disco Powerplay releases. There were a few parts that never made the final cut, but were too good to leave, so Andy got friend Jaime Read in to jam with the left over bits, and from that Acid Jan was born
none of the Jan's original parts made it to this finished re-incarnation). Acid Jan found it's way onto Cynic label boss Felix's USB and subsequently was played at every festival/club that Felix played for about a year. When Andy heard Felix playing it at Alfresco Festival in 2016, they decided to release it on Cynic. In search of a B side for the release, Andy dug out the other DAT's from the session Acid Jan was recorded at, and found Sitars over Shanklin, a suitably oddball track to grace the other side. A little piece of Chicago via India recorded in Brighton.

Anklepants introduces his brand new album for Detroit Undergroud, a collection of ten cuts, made with his very own arsenal of digital and hardware toys, most of them self made and customised for his purposes. This multi faceted artist creates a blend of twisted ryhthms, synthetic melodies and weird textures and noises, yet danceable stuff but with heavy focus in experimentation and risk.

After more than a decade of deep, expansive productions on labels such as Detroit Underground and CPU, Annie Hall arrives on MUSAR for a record typically rich in texture and understated grooves. Indebted to vintage electro and IDM, Hall's music is no throwback, always looking forward and moving dancefloors in the most unexpected ways.

Arte Moderno was a project running in parallel lines to the overriding trends in early 80s Spanish music. Short-lived as it was (active between 1981 and 1982) its musical output has continued to amaze the connoisseur ever since. Their only 7” single Ninette en New York (Ja Ja Records,1982) is today an item highly rated by collectors and DJs worldwide. The band hailed from the Canary Islands in late 1981, being its nucleus Javier Segura, seriously prolific musician active since the 70s, and Juan Belda, who had worked together previously. As Javier Segura himself states in his notes: “The tracks were created with a TR-808, harmonised with textures and guitar screaming, and the rich Belda keyboards plus choruses effects and noises I recorded on a separate tape.” Mandi Capote at drums and Javier Cabrera at bass guitar joined later on. Arte Moderno recorded a grand total of 8 tracks, of which only 2 were released at the time.

Artefactos de Dolor is Alyssa Barrera's [LDY OSC, The Bunker] means of expressing the grit and glory she has discovered being a native of Mexico, and having grown up on the US-MX border. A primal, ritualistic chanting of the ancestral calling within her to find the place where she calls home— the mother matrix in 237. The connection to the harmonic structures from the machines and the invocations called upon are buried in the electrical charge of the tape. Produced by Interval's Todd Sines [Peacefrog, Planet E, Residual] and Charles Noel [21/22, Ongaku, Black Nation] their background of experimental music and love of hardware has made these three collaborate and present Artefactos de Dolor.

Side A is a journey through sparse syncopated rhythms, industrial noise motifs and the kind of buzz and hum that the heroes of the second wave of techno music championed, culminating in the EP's title track 'Rehtom' which is an exercise in analogue techno mastery.
Side B's delivery is subtly more dulcet, kicking off with Digital Memories, which has a more classical techno structure than anything that came before, building intricate melodies into an otherwise taut and tightly woven electronic landscape while the closing Impulsive Sheit is a gentle downbeat number, exploring the space within the music and creating an atmospheric ambient discourse to outro the heady charge of the EP as a whole.

UK techno founders B12 return! The duo's history famously started in the early 90's with their music appearing under a plethora of monikers under the "B12 Records" umbrella - 12" vinyl with notorious cryptic messages engraved in the run-out grooves, before being collected into album form and release on Warp. After a hiatus in the late 90's, the pair resurfaced briefly for some live shows, a flurry of hugely sought-after 12"s and a 7-part CD anthology. They then abruptly disappeared again - this is their first appearance in 5 years, fittingly on Glaswegian imprint Soma. (Their seminal Warp Records album was named Electro Soma...is there a connection?) The Bokide 325 EP Is it a planet to be explored, or the journey through a personal hell? Only a few know for sure but at the end of this voyage expressed in the best way B12 know how, layers of sounds, beats, synths, lush pads, and seductive melodies the hope of a whole new reality is reached. It conjures up foreboding, planetary soundscapes - rooted in the more ambient, filmic side of their output, is it a reflection of recent turmoil within/ the artists personal lives? The EP opens with "Into the Void", whose simple but emotive synth line weaves its way across a variety of beats and sounds, and takes the listener into the depths where the true journey can commence. Onwards, darker and more mysterious notes loom up throughout "Descension" and "Unsound Mind", with pounding bass throbbing underneath, leading further into the world of shadows where the alarming awareness that something isn't quite right never truly leaves you. It concludes with Terra Incognita, the final track of the EP - an unknown place, left to be discovered and completed by the listener.

Iraqi band Babylon Trio from Brussels plays an electrified ravey mix of contemporary Iraqi and Arabic music styles, such as choubi choubi, dabke, maqam and electronic hybrids that put the dancefloor on fire.

One of the top drummers in the Israeli scene, Tel-Aviv based songwriter and producer Beatfoot launches his solo project with the powerful new EP De Vibez, a fanciful gutter-glam cross between stoner-acid-pop and 90’s-garage-punk. Side A contains some stunning originals alongside a surprising cover of a melancholic oldie by the legendary german singer Nico. Side B be the remixes: the first, a colorful club-driven remix by Garzen Records head honchos & electronic duo Red Axes, followed by a groovy down tempo drone version by the mesmerizing Smagghe & Cross.

Bell Towers is finally back with a new record for Public Possession. Ikea Hack origi-nally produced for the runway, was too good not to explore further. Once again perfectly showcasing BT`s abillity to transform emotions into melodies, bridging gaps between various musical influences - the revisited and extendend ver-sions presented here, will leave you with two choices: Chillout & Dance Mix. In ad-dition the material was handed over to Baba Stiltz, who delivered his very own more minimalistic, extremly hypnotic take on the Ikea Hack.

Taken from the forthcoming Dekmantel LP Center Parcs by esoteric Dutch production duo Betonkust & Palmbomen II, comes the 'Leo/ Mirjam’. The track is a rendition of upbeat-melancholic, future- retroism, and a slice of saturated house music. The flip features a special, unyielding, acid-tempo rework by Legowelt. Likely to vanish soon.. This is a strictly vinyl only, no digital, limited collectors edition 12". It is re-mastered from the original digital files by Beau at Ten Eight Seven and made in the Designers Republic. Six lost slices of leftfield electro including the mythical and mysterious 'Hotline' a track that was originally scheduled for release on Mo’Wax back around about the year 2000 but only ever reached test pressing for reasons no one can quite remember, alongside five other tracks that take in dancehall, hip-hop and 2-step garage, all recorded during the same session.

Known for his role in The Pain Machinery and Severe Illusion, Stockholm native Anders Karlsson has more recently begun to explore similar strands of industrial and EBM in a solo capacity as Celldod, issuing several limited cassettes over the course of 2014. Those without the facilities to consume cassettes will be happy to see some of this Celldod material now issued on vinyl thanks to the efforts of Canadian label Suction Records. Some six tracks deep, Pulsdisco features material from the two cassettes of the same name Karlsson released last year and those that like their EBM minimalist and without vocals will find plenty to enjoy here.

Chicago's Justin Aulis Long and Ken Zawacki return to L.I.E.S. with their second ep under their Circling Vultures moniker. On this offering we get four tracks of tough yet psychedelic machine music. From slow bpm beaters to metal on metal floor cuts, these are executed with precision to do maximum damage whenever played. Sinking their teeth in and never letting go, looming over and waiting for the right moment to strike...tense music for the end times! Another killer from these seasoned club vets.

Coletivo Vandalismo kick-start a new 12" series for the Contort Yourself label. Hailing from the city of Porto the duo also DJ under the name GAM and released their debut LP on Lake Haze's Eye For An Eye label. Their music has an immediacy that seems to stem from a background in live performance as opposed to polished studio sessions - an improvisational punk aesthetic that manages to carry this EP so strongly. Wild, crashing fx and unrecognisable vocal distortions layer atop wonky 90bpm drum machine grooves and the pair even show off what may be their turntablism skills on 'Zombie Zombie'. There's a nod to early concrete on the closing track 'Black Sun's Demise' with whirring, mechanical noise motifs suddenly jolting us into punishing gabber-at-33-minus-8 territory. The DIY spirit is alive and well here and the feeling that things could fall apart at any minute just adds to the tension.

Ren Schofield has returned with a new installment in his notorious "LP" series for Spectrum Spools. "LP" has all the earmarks of the classic Container sound with it's uber-mangled, saturated tape garble and headlong tempo macabre. However, this new set of tracks feature an attention to composition unlike much of the Container we've previously heard. While the tracks unfurl across two sides of wax the contours and jagged edges of each sonic sculpture display a new refinement while maintaining the full capacity to vaporize any club floor with Container's traditional recklessness.
Miraculously, this new "LP" manages to incorporate some more traditionally 'musical' elements thus far untouched upon in the projects output while simultaneously delivering it's most damaged and blown out offering yet. Despite leaving a trail of albums that get more intense with each passing year, this "LP" is bar none the most loaded. The tracks feature a trajectory with narrative, surrounded by broken acid basslines grating against disintegrating tape loops. This is the infectious and singular hypnosis Container has become well-known for. Overloaded drum patterns, washes of feedback, and dying melodies - it's all here and somehow it's restructured to be different and better than ever before. With this latest installment, there are no longer shambles but merely dust left behind.
As Container continues to evolve in an upward motion, "LP" presents a refreshing and welcome new chapter.

Crotocosm is an occasional collaboration between Jordan GCZ (Lushlyfe, Off Minor) and Willie Burns (Black Deer, WT Records). Tracks were recorded together live in Amsterdam and Brooklyn between 1996 and 2017..

As the years go by, the ranks of Degiheugi's fans continue to swell: each time a new solid-gold disc is added to their already impressive discography, the result is a unique and impressive work in the French beatmaking landscape.

Endless smile, the sixth instalment, once again proves to be a great vintage, immediately limpid, but above all long in the mouth, charged with intense melodic persistence and loops that take the ear hostage.

And what a variety of aromas in the art of sampling: languorous strings, oriental flutes, bouncy brass, exotic percussion, intimate piano, samples of antediluvian blues or forgotten French chanson. This Grand Ouest varietal finds its perfect balance in a classic, timeless hip-hop spirit that runs like a red thread throughout the album.

When other beatmakers give in too quickly to the sirens of the dancefloor, Degiheugi always transports us back to his first hip-hop loves, for the pure pleasure of the “beautiful loop”. And he knows how to surround himself with the right people: his guests, whether faithful compatriots (Ghostown, Andrre, Astrid Van Peetersen) or newcomers (Ceschi, Josh Martinez), join in the party with high-flying featurings. The album title sounds like a prophecy: smile eternally as you listen to Degiheugi.

„Beauty Of Decay“ is the first release from the Post-Punk-Electronic-EBM-Cold Wave-Minimal Synth project of Thomas Heckmann that he started in 1985. One of his oldest and unreleased projects finally available on vinyl.

Dennis Busch is an artist who is well-known to all Pin- gipung fans for his “James Din A4” contributions to our catalogue. This man of many faces has also developed a reputation as visual artist. Therefore he decides to present his music under the same name: Dennis Busch - which we think might be his real one. Dennis Busch has delivered an enormous output of odd, melodic techno tracks in the last decade – mostly on his own now unfortunately vanished “Esel” imprint (this means “donkey”). We have featured this sound in a dedicated compilation of his archive in 2008, called “Fistel Rose Power”. “Music for dance floors which haven't been invented yet”, someone wrote. Today he presents a fresh sound, each track bouncing and swaying in a different shade of good humor. We think it's his best album yet, in terms both of composi- tion and sound. Deep chords from Detroit meet skweee- ish melodies, a brassy bass says “wob”, and hip-hop hi-hats hold those guitars and vinyl samples to - gether. The entire album has been mixed down in real-time sessions on his MPC - this famous sampler is actually the only device with which Dennis Busch produces his tracks. Maybe it is the technological simplicity and his ease to ignore the temptations of endless digital sonic possibilities which shape the peculiar charms of this whole album. If deep-house were a discipline at the Paralympics, “New Yor” or “Happy Stranger” would defin- itely qualify. The title track “Total Youth” sounds like brewing the world's finest mocha coffee for Jan Jelinek (footnote: Jan Jelinek and Dennis Busch are musical mates, and Jan even considers to create a collage album from Dennis' sounds on his own “faitiche” label in the near future - what a good idea!). “Love Is Evol” is an old man crooning his wisdom quietly in our ears. The raise-your- fist-up-high-contest goes to the last track's cowbell, “Keiner Vice mehr”. The artwork has entirely been created by Dennis Busch. Re-issue of the classic album by Heinrich Mueller. Originally released in the early 00's (2004 to be precise) which basicly was deep into the future for everyone born before 1980. Techno was still about innovation, stepping into the future, going ahead, updated technologies, exploring the new.? Like previous releases Heinrich Mueller takes inspiration from latest technologies and developments. For this album he had support from Biometric systems Gmbh in Bayern, Germany. He was allowed to visit their laboratories and gather information of biometric research (which at that time was the latest developments in human interaction with hi-technology). The results are 11 tracks that are a brilliant abstract reflection of these new technologies and the effective practical use of these techniques in our daily live. Heinrich Mueller takes his musical journey further away from his well-known early Dopplereffekt releases and several side projects and merges those early projects wit h hi-technology applications available for modern studio engineering. The full length album shows the dark emotions and also the energy and positive feelings which come with new technological applications. These 11 tracks are a selection of musical arrangements with and without rhythmical structures. It’s a collection of abstract interpretations and expressions of human emotions during a period of discovering the latest scientifically applications (in general) and finding new information about the possibilities of biometrical identification in 2004. Actually 3 years into the future if we consider 2001 the fruition of the idea of the future for the 70 and 80's generation. And it was just before or maybe even right at the moment that techno music lost its focus on the future and became retrospective. This album is the future.

Next up on Greek label Lower Parts is a fierce EP from the one and only DJ Stingray, who serves up one of his strongest releases in a while and, at the same time, marks his comeback with a bang. Featuring a remix by Athens talent Kon001, who Stingray has been meaning to release for years and who got personally handpicked by him for this assignment, the EP’s titles tell us of the Detroit man’s interest in science, biology and evolution and covers plenty of musical styles. Stingray has won plenty of acclaim with serious releases on labels like Naked Lunch, Bleep and Itinerant Dub. He wastes no time here in nailing down a nervy techno groove on ‘Acetylcholine’, with its hurried kicks, electro synths and slithering bass lines all racing along as you do the same. Dendrite is then a half time, lurching number with serious dub weight and serene synths that manages to be beautiful and brutal at the same time. On the flip, ‘eRbB4’ is a slick, journeying bit of electro-techno with real soul and emotion in its bones, before kon001 does Stingray proud with a dynamic, spangled remix that is metallic and reflective, groovy and evocative. This is a killer release from Stingray and is yet another fine offering from Lower Parts.

Warped vision; the time spill is source of our distortia, in recognition we recalibrate. It neither predicts an age nor remembers an era, the function is the flow – not parallel but actual. The set points swim in a fever dream, a pink mist which echoes both signal and version. Detangled, decrypted, explained – it could be primal truth, except for endless reality. New message from the Mirror Zone, signals here cast by DJ Ungel who summons mystic breakbeat and shamanic acid from deep fractal wells of pan-consciousness. Charged mantras echo and gate amongst pulsating Megadog trance, whilst waves of ERP and Stinsonian electro roll into the ambient dub of Higher Intelligence Agency, Universal Egg, and other Artificial Intelligence like Banco De Gaia and Sandoz. True energy.

Spectral Empire are George Thompson (aka Black Merlin / Karamika) and Kyle Martin (Vactrol Park / Land of Light). With the release of Iron Muscle they are celebrating 10 years since their debut ep Innerfearence saw the light of day in 2008 on the now defunct Thisisnotanexit record label. Legend tells all track were made around the same time (2008-2009), at what was back then Kyle’s studio in Archway, London, however opinions remain divided over the validity of this info. What is remembered for a fact is that they’v used practically every home appliance and improvised noise they could find, record and harness, in order to create the feeling of what they describe as a “ Robot walking” for the title track Iron Muscle.

Mannequin Records is proud to present a trilogy of reissues from the avantgarde Italian-born producer Doris Norton, "Norton Computer For Peace" (1983), "Personal Computer" (1984), "Artificial Intellingence" (1985).
Apple's first music "endorsement" (later IBM consultant) and early Roland affiliate, Doris Norton is one of the most important women pioneer in the use of synths and in the early electro / computer music.
While the beat-oriented style of Norton’s music aligns her with such global fellow-travelers as Yellow Magic Orchestra and Kraftwerk, her championing of the personal computer as a tool for self-sufficient musical creativity also connects her to more artsy musicians such as Pietro Grossi, Laurie Spiegel, and the League of Automatic Music Composers. Norton’s predilection for the bright, glossy timbres of early digital instruments also recalls Hubert Bognermayr and Harald Zuschrader’s bizarre 1982 one-off Erdenklang.
1 year after "Personal Computer", Doris Norton released 'Artificial Intelligence' (previous title: 'From Art-Physiol to Artificial Intelligence', changed before publishing) in 1985, setting a step up in her deep electronic music research and innovation.
"The whole album was composed and programmed only with the alfanumerical keyboard of the computer. The total of the notes and coded events takes to the number 124.648: of these 123.827 were coded with 'step time' procedure and the rest with real time procedure.
Having done reduced the keyboard Doris Norton used only an hexaphonic JX.8P with memory processed by her and interfaced to the computer.
No drums were used, neither electronic nor much less acoustic. All the rhythmics were obtained by A.D.A. conversions and processing of wave ranges and with the use of expanders with a very special handling of envelopes, frequency, resonance, noise
Doris Norton fed the computer the parameters of vowels and consonants of her own voice, like A, O, U, E, D, N, through an A.D.A conversion card; by processing these values and assembling them in phoneme in hundreds of different combination, various compressed resolutions she was able to make the computer sing a complete song in a totally human way (with the voice of Doris).
Many other yxith sounds resulting from A.D.A. conversions are present in this new album 'Artificial Intelligence', amongst these: pipe organ, plate, electric discharge, iron beat, birds, dog, harp, woods ...... all sampled and handled by the computer.
'Artificial Intelligence' is a perfect example of how human intelligence can bend the coded 'artificial intelligence' to hits own will. ....."

Dowdelin explores as a tireless ever moving trailblazer a path where Creole jazz, electronic dancefloor sounds and Caribbean percussions come together to create a unique Future Kréol feeling. Debut LP on Underdog Records, label focused on french soul and funk; behind the reissues of the famous french jazz artist from the late 70's Cortex.

A geniune collection of dubs from DATs courtesy of Downlink, slow cooked in a dusty drawer since 1997. A1 was originally released on Mosaic and stays true to the dub techno sound which defined the label while the other tracks have never seen the light of day until now. If gritty acid workouts are your cup of tea then look no further. The A side features a printed artwork from San Francisco based artist Klari Reis.

Solar Phenomena keeps up a busy schedule with the third EP of 2018. This one comes from cult UK artist Duckett who's past collaborations include Tom Demac, Grimes Adhesif and Leif. Recently he has served up solo EPs for labels like Galdoors, UntilMyHeartStops and Wisdom Teeth. Mixing up elements of IDM, techno and ambient, he is a sculptor of timeless tracks that come from another world.

E. Myers returns just in time for the summer, with two heaters of contrasting styles. 'I Am Alive' is a celebration, cooked up from heavy drums, percussion and bass synth, coming together with pads and arpeggiated synths for full blown elation.
'Dreamland' keeps its poker face on throughout it's entire 9 minutes. Threatening to break out but staying cool with its restrained bump, it's equally at home in basements as it is on beaches.

We are excited to present Ahaad 004. The fourth release on the Berlin based label, a sub label of Wex. These four tracks are from the Greek artist, Elastic. A mix of Balearic, Downtempo and Ambient electronica, these four tracks are perfect for home listening or after hour hang out sessions. We hope the sounds resonate with you.

After a steady stream of successful underground dance-floor stables via his Viscera EP series and last year climbing charts with his remixes, Fango returns with his second album titled "GEA". Set for release this forth-coming May 11th via Degustibus Music, GEA is a 10-track trip of eclectic electronica panning across various moods and tempos. Flexings his matured production credits, Fango fuses rock, disco and psychedelic influences, meticulously put together on his machines resulting in a spectrum of sounds to satisfy most palettes. It’s a serenade from Gea to Ouranos, the Greek gods of earth and sky.

A solid dome of brass and stars stretched as far as earths edges, home to the Greek god of sky Ouranos and back-drop for his mystical battle against Gea and his prophesying of the Titans.

Linea Beat 5 The fifth collection in our dance-floor only series is the aptly named “Dance”. Arriving in two different versions for those times when you need alternative vibes on the dance-floor, ‘Music’ is backed up by a slamming, jack-time remix from Passarani, a.k.a one half of Tiger & Woods.

Next up on Francis Harris’ exceptional imprint Scissor & Thread comes a collaboration with American Producer, DJ Aakmael. Aakmael has built a reputation for some of the deepest, rawest house music sounds coming out of the States, releasing well-received tracks on the likes of Freerange Records, Release Sustain, Kolour Dogmatik and NDATL.

Fringe Society should be a familiar name to anyone who has visited one of our recent Wrong Era parties. Channeling the same slick electronic-funkiness of his DJ sets into four tracks of wildly different music for Wrong Era’s vinyl imprint, this is a record for all occasions that takes in dreamy cosmic-psychedelia, chugging dance-workouts and explosive peak-time bangers.

First release by the new danish collective count 0, a stellar 7" which can be described as "everything from ebm/post punk to fast dark techno".

A new duo launches by the name of Ghost Vision. Joining forces with an introspective, uplifting debut slice on Kompakt, the pair are two well-known figures Thomas Gandey aka Cagedbaby, member of Matom alongside Matt Edwards, and Daniel McLewin, half of UK-based production duo Psychemagik. Fruit of these blissful moments when no imaginary wall obstructs the vision and the stream of consciousness gives up to the entrancing magic of the creative flow, 'Saturnus' is an upright mano a mano between two musicians and their gear, unchained from all preconceptions and biases; real (machine) talk as the hip-hop heads would say.

TYR number 5 is here from emerging artist GMG. This Berlin based producer is a classically trained jazz musician and you can hear it shining through each carefully crafted composition. On the B side we start out with a top-tier remix from D_Roots, who delivers one of the most solid grooves of the year. These tracks are like nothing we'd ever heard before; they are truly original. Hope you enjoy them as much as we do.

A download code is included. It’s been over 10 years since the release of Gui Boratto’s breakthrough full length debut 'Chromophobia'. As to what its title suggests, he shook up the techno game with a contrast of lushly coloured minimal grooves and melody, whilst many will recall that the album included the highlight single “Beautiful Life” which became a dance floor anthem for that era. Four albums in and countless EPs and remixes under his belt, the Brazilian producer's unique savoir-faire in carving out a functional album out of diversely routed singles and features is back at it on his fifth studio LP, 'Pentagram'. Here Gui Boratto lays down a nuanced 12-track narrative that reinvigorates his signature sound into a refreshingly different perspective that feels all too familiar – including the return of “Beautiful Life” vocalist (and Gui Boratto’s wife) Luciana Villanova on the single "Overload".

Hørd is the solo project of Bordeaux-based synthwave producer Sebastien Carl. Started in 2014, Sebastien has been able to gather a cult fan-base around his creation in a short time, collaborating with artists as Hante., Winter Severity Index and Black Bug. After a first album on Giallo Disco and an EP on SNTS' own label Sacred Court, his second full-length record is due September 14 on Avant! Records. Parallels features eight new compositions that further focus HøRD’s distinguishing features: abstract almost liquid synth passages, deep analogue beats, veiled vocals. Uptempo or slow, instrumental or sung, danceable or rarefied it doesn’t really matter as the album as a whole ends up resulting in a strong cinematic appeal. A soundtrack for a journey away from the present time and into an intimate, maybe even nostalgic dimension.
