Kofe aka Coffee was one of the pioneering Russian New Wave bands in the mid 80’s although they were not very known in that time. The band was founded in 1983 in Leningrad and in 1986 they released their amazing second album ‘Balance’, which was re-issued 5 years ago on Baran Records / Other Voices Records. Bordello A Parigi had the opportunity to release a 12″ single of this album with two album tracks and additional edits by Lithuanian born KGBK who you might know from his London based Parabox radio show. ‘Balance!’

Side A contains some stunning originals alongside a surprising cover of a melancholic oldie by the legendary german singer Nico. Side B be the remixes: the first, a colorful club-driven remix by Garzen Records head honchos & electronic duo Red Axes, followed by a groovy down tempo drone version by the mesmerizing Smagghe & Cross.

Helsinki’s Mesak and Marseille’s Bill Vortex are the Jompo Boys and their Jompo dance to the Jompo Anthem is the new craze all over Europe. It’s a uniting front we form while Jompo spreads and spreads and takes over every fiber on the planet.

Spectral Empire are George Thompson (aka Black Merlin / Karamika) and Kyle Martin (Vactrol Park / Land of Light). With the release of Iron Muscle they are celebrating 10 years since their debut ep Innerfearence saw the light of day in 2008 on the now defunct Thisisnotanexit record label. Legend tells all track were made around the same time (2008-2009), at what was back then Kyle’s studio in Archway, London, however opinions remain divided over the validity of this info. What is remembered for a fact is that they’v used practically every home appliance and improvised noise they could find, record and harness, in order to create the feeling of what they describe as a “ Robot walking” for the title track Iron Muscle.

The first LP release for connected comes from Nandu and as with his previous EP releases the LP is a unique genre crossing palette containing elements from Deep House,House,AfroHouse,Electronic Techno and beyond brought together in Nandus’ original style. Truly an LP that begs to be listened to from start to finish. In Nandus’ own words: “One mans high can truly be, another mans anxiety. In some parts of life this is very clear like having a baby, do drugs, to work, not to work, be an artist, be a banker and so it continues. Yin & Yang and the whole idea of duality is another way to describe this. When you go left you say goodbye to right – at least for the moment you choose left. What you choose is up to you. It wasn’t always my dream to get up at 3pm to change diapers, but it was always my dream to have a family. And here the sacrifice is not even mentionable. It’s more than worth it. But when you sometimes in life make a choice that you regret but which always will follow you, or when uncontrollable powers force you into another direction, it can easily switch the poles between high and low. In these cases you just have to look forward, but not without looking back. You need to learn, take it with you, and do better next time. This album is about how my highs also can be my anxieties."

Hørd is the solo project of Bordeaux-based synthwave producer Sebastien Carl. Started in 2014, Sebastien has been able to gather a cult fan-base around his creation in a short time, collaborating with artists as Hante., Winter Severity Index and Black Bug. After a first album on Giallo Disco and an EP on SNTS' own label Sacred Court, his second full-length record is due September 14 on Avant! Records. Parallels features eight new compositions that further focus HøRD’s distinguishing features: abstract almost liquid synth passages, deep analogue beats, veiled vocals. Uptempo or slow, instrumental or sung, danceable or rarefied it doesn’t really matter as the album as a whole ends up resulting in a strong cinematic appeal. A soundtrack for a journey away from the present time and into an intimate, maybe even nostalgic dimension.

Iraqi band Babylon Trio from Brussels plays an electrified ravey mix of contemporary Iraqi and Arabic music styles, such as choubi choubi, dabke, maqam and electronic hybrids that put the dancefloor on fire.

This is a strictly vinyl only, no digital, limited collectors edition 12". It is re-mastered from the original digital files by Beau at Ten Eight Seven and made in the Designers Republic. Six lost slices of leftfield electro including the mythical and mysterious 'Hotline' a track that was originally scheduled for release on Mo’Wax back around about the year 2000 but only ever reached test pressing for reasons no one can quite remember, alongside five other tracks that take in dancehall, hip-hop and 2-step garage, all recorded during the same session.

Crotocosm is an occasional collaboration between Jordan GCZ (Lushlyfe, Off Minor) and Willie Burns (Black Deer, WT Records). Tracks were recorded together live in Amsterdam and Brooklyn between 1996 and 2017..

CYBERSPEAK, Milan multidisciplinary collective appears on the internet as a language of objectivity and truth, as the computer is, challenging the existing order in electronic music. “V1” is the first physical episode coming from duo TRAIN TO ELTANIN showing their skills with 5 tracks that embody the musical accelerations of the label. Hi-Speed Electrofunk with some energetic stop and go that makes it a sure killer dancefloor weapon, atmospherical and evocative club sounds, classicism jazzy school driven by computer sequencers, jungle assaults and broken electronics. The message is clear: Keep on Programming!

A geniune collection of dubs from DATs courtesy of Downlink, slow cooked in a dusty drawer since 1997. A1 was originally released on Mosaic and stays true to the dub techno sound which defined the label while the other tracks have never seen the light of day until now. If gritty acid workouts are your cup of tea then look no further. The A side features a printed artwork from San Francisco based artist Klari Reis.
