On this release of 500 copies on yellow vinyl you find old and new work, old and young artists, like the talented Parrish Smith. There is also a great Restauration by Dunkeltier. The album has been remastered with care by Rude 66.

Meant Records welcome accomplished Parisian producer Tim Paris for an EP that features two standout originals and two brilliant remixes from Cosmo Vitelli and Sonns. Over a glittering career, Paris has of course collaborated with Ivan Smagghe, run his own Marketing Music label and turned out a diverse album, ‘Dancers’, for My Favorite Robot. From jacking electro to rugged new wave via freaky house, he has a fully formed palette that is distinguishable by his raw sense of groove and texture. First up here, Paris works with Telemark on ‘Version A,’ seven sizzling minutes of macho robot funk. Whirring synths, twisted bass and chunky drums all get you up on your toes and are sure to inject the crowd with wild spirit. French touch veteran and I’m A Cliche label boss Cosmo Vitelli steps up to remix and brings more punk spirit to a slap-funk track with booming kicks and brain frying chords. It drips with cool and dark libido and is sure to become a real anthem.

Frankfurt duo Transonic Flow fly at the speed of sound on this six-shooter for Dream Ticket, giving the label 3 for 3 in 2018. The furious salvos of 'Pk Jam', 'Elec Jit', 'Arp Attack' and 'KC's Intermission' come fully loaded with influences from classic Detroit jit and electro, while 'Frtry 2jun' and 'Hp Dub', with all their broken melancholy, sound like man-machine laments for the aftermath. Make electro, not war!

The Pulse Projects is the moniker of Albert van Abbe's electro-focused venture. His forthcoming release on Patron Records leans heavily on the gritty and murky sound that we know from the versed producer/DJ, who has been around for quite some time now. 'Soon To Be' is a forceful four-track EP that includes a lot of weighty patterns, compelling soundscapes and some wobbly acid-flecked grooves. But most of all, the EP demonstrates how effective, yet meaningful distorted kicks and breakbeats can be.

Although better known for his euphoric uptempo European disco edit style across labels such as Public Possession, Ostra Discos and most recently Bahnsteig23, here the Melbourne based collector and DJ steps away from the dancefloor and presents two slower paced and (dare we say) more mature, sample-based efforts on this double-A side limited edition 7”

Deaf Chonky is an Israeli Folk, garage & punk duo formed by Adi Bronicki and Tami Kaminsky. The two members of the band grew up in Rehovot (Israel) where they met and rehearsed. Their name (which means “Girls” in Russian) was given to them by Kaminsky’s father. The band’s musical influences go from garage punk to Russian folk music. This is their 1st EP for Red Axes’ label Garzen Records. Incudes two remixes by Manfredas & Red Axes.

Like the original records, ‘Bloodline Remixed’ takes us to unexpected paths to recreate a timeless electronic journey; it evolves in multiple traits and shape oscillating between electro, bass, breaks, techno and cosmic beats to deliver some well-crafted tracks for advanced dance floor.

The latest release by Musique Pour La Danse is a reissue of a rare and cult record, Super Nova's Planetary Invazion EP. It is part of a 4 EP reissue series of Nate Krafft's music under several aliases (Super Nova, Naquil). Originally released by Infra in 1996, this is an off-kilter EP that should be filed under techno / electro / Detroit but that also goes beyond these categories.

When Cities Collide IV [The distant future. The year 2087.]The first fully autonomous artificial intelligence with the ability to learn and improve itself is created by the Sega corporation. Two years later they invent the first time machine, and call it the Timecast. Sega decides to send the A.I. named Segadeath back in time to 1881 to destroy Nintendo before its creation. Helsinki’s Mesak and Marseille’s Bill Vortex are the Jompo Boys and their Jompo dance to the Jompo Anthem is the new craze all over Europe. It’s a uniting front we form while Jompo spreads and spreads and takes over every fiber on the planet.

When Cities Collide III features Lithium Parasites which is a project from former Ultradyne member Alex Lugo together with Alonzo, who released a great record with WT Records last year, on this RotterHague release their combined strength brings out what sounds like dystopian cruising music. Watch those crumbled skylines pass by. DJ Overdose does what DJ Overdose does.

Taking it’s influence from downtempo Alt-Pop and Hip Hop, but with nods to blissed out Dub and World Music, the Indian producer arrives on the Berlin based label with Creators of The Rain. Danny Wolfers takes control on the flip - turning in a gorgeous, transcendental remix under his Legowelt alias. Live instrumentation provides the backbone of the work, dusty drums drive the music forward, complemented by shifting dub-guitar leads, off kilter bassline licks and delayed drum machine breaks. Singer Gio’s vocals sit comfortably at the back of the mix, soft but inviting, present but realised with a distinctly otherworldly energy.

Optimo Music don’t generally do limited edition releases but when The Golden Filter did these extra mixes of “End Of Times”, the A1 track off their recent EP we thought they were too good to remain in the digital domain so have pressed up a small run of 12” singles aimed specifically at DJs. The original single version is a future synth classic. These new dub versions take it to the dancefloor and have been tried and tested around the world over the last few months. They are considerably extended, dubbed out and add extra dynamics & ecstatic synth power with hints of the original vocal. There is a slo mo version at 103 bpm and a faster version at 118bpm which means the track should work any time from warm up to peak set. There is also a Drone-Apella version included too.

Kofe aka Coffee was one of the pioneering Russian New Wave bands in the mid 80’s although they were not very known in that time. The band was founded in 1983 in Leningrad and in 1986 they released their amazing second album ‘Balance’, which was re-issued 5 years ago on Baran Records / Other Voices Records. Bordello A Parigi had the opportunity to release a 12″ single of this album with two album tracks and additional edits by Lithuanian born KGBK who you might know from his London based Parabox radio show. ‘Balance!’

MUSCLES & HATE is an unnamed artist from Russia producing raw, pulsating EBM-inclined rhythmic techno. His second white label release on bore hole in 2018 was quickly sold out and is now getting a limited repress.

Crotocosm is an occasional collaboration between Jordan GCZ (Lushlyfe, Off Minor) and Willie Burns (Black Deer, WT Records). Tracks were recorded together live in Amsterdam and Brooklyn between 1996 and 2017..

Coletivo Vandalismo kick-start a new 12" series for the Contort Yourself label. Hailing from the city of Porto the duo also DJ under the name GAM and released their debut LP on Lake Haze's Eye For An Eye label. Their music has an immediacy that seems to stem from a background in live performance as opposed to polished studio sessions - an improvisational punk aesthetic that manages to carry this EP so strongly. Wild, crashing fx and unrecognisable vocal distortions layer atop wonky 90bpm drum machine grooves and the pair even show off what may be their turntablism skills on 'Zombie Zombie'. There's a nod to early concrete on the closing track 'Black Sun's Demise' with whirring, mechanical noise motifs suddenly jolting us into punishing gabber-at-33-minus-8 territory. The DIY spirit is alive and well here and the feeling that things could fall apart at any minute just adds to the tension.

Next up on Francis Harris’ exceptional imprint Scissor & Thread comes a collaboration with American Producer, DJ Aakmael. Aakmael has built a reputation for some of the deepest, rawest house music sounds coming out of the States, releasing well-received tracks on the likes of Freerange Records, Release Sustain, Kolour Dogmatik and NDATL.

„Beauty Of Decay“ is the first release from the Post-Punk-Electronic-EBM-Cold Wave-Minimal Synth project of Thomas Heckmann that he started in 1985. One of his oldest and unreleased projects finally available on vinyl.

Based in Paris Poison Point was born in the form of a one man-machine band in 2015. It features screaming synths hammered by a frantic drum machine, the whole driven by a sharp synth sound and topped by Timothée Gainet prime time coldwave vocals. Since august 2016 Poison Point is a two piece band, join by Arnaud Derochefort on keyboards, live drum machine and programming. After two releases for Third Coming Records they join aufnahme + wiedergabe with their so far most dancefloor orientated „Bestiensäule“ EP.

Glaskin, Preset, Vince, Philipp von Bergmann & Maurice Paloni. The brothers Jonathan and Ferdinand Bockelmann aka Glaskin … the “Kellerkinder” who are taking care of the “Schall im Schilf” & “Back to the Woods Festival” form together the duo Glaskin. In recent months, a lot has happened to them, they have e.g. with Esacpe Velocity released her debut EP and another 2 more on Hotflush. “Tymewriter” is carried by a broken beat over which gloomy surfaces overlap.

Abstand is a duo project by Martin Brugger and Simon Popp, both members of the Munich-based jazz group Fazer. On their debut 12″ Opek they provide off-kilter polyrhythmic percussion psychedelia, layering live and unedited drum tracks blended with sparse electronics that add a subtle Middle Eastern tint.

CYBERSPEAK, Milan multidisciplinary collective appears on the internet as a language of objectivity and truth, as the computer is, challenging the existing order in electronic music. “V1” is the first physical episode coming from duo TRAIN TO ELTANIN showing their skills with 5 tracks that embody the musical accelerations of the label. Hi-Speed Electrofunk with some energetic stop and go that makes it a sure killer dancefloor weapon, atmospherical and evocative club sounds, classicism jazzy school driven by computer sequencers, jungle assaults and broken electronics. So Gerd and Philipp were due to play XOYO one saturday night and the club is 6 minutes from my studio so I suggested we go there first to make tunes for a few hours. We made 2 songs that night and one of them is ‘reach out’. Gerd did the drums on my 808, Philipp wrote the beautiful lead part on my OBXa and I did the bass in my cs80. I added the words a couple of weeks later, they are inspired by Leonard Cohen’s letter to his muse Marianne Ihlen on her deathbed. (Joe Goddard) Including fantastic remixes by Erol Alkan and Osborne.

As Hans Peeman's side project next to his Junktion moniker, New Franklin Theory returns to Outplay with a very personal project. Five carefully produced songs in the form of a mini-album of sorts, which showcases his journey into more melodic synth heavy work. Starting off, 'Andromeda Beach' eases you into the spacey atmosphere of the record with dreamy rhodes supported by his distinctive percussion and bass work. Following, 'Homeward' introduces melancholic synth lines grounded by an infectious bass line for a Balearic inspired feel. 'Afterburner' ups the tempo with warm arpeggiated Juno sounds and saxy disco samples, which will remind you of his previous work.

Quadratschulz is famed for his unmistakable blend of smooth electro grooves and playful melodies. It is this combination that the German synthman brings to his debut 12” on Bordello A Parigi, La Boum. Four cheer soaked pieces make up the EP with the radiant title piece opening. A cocktail of crisp beats, clean keys and just a twist of acid are blended to produce a fresh and uplifting tune. Braindance and chiptune influences abound, coming to the fore in the squirming and squelching energy of “Unfriend.” Drums and stabbing keys are washed in a light 303 rinse for a mischievous musical medley. The flip is introduced by the rich analogue tones of “Beta Industries.” Lush, this subtle work is moulded with layers of understated snares, crystalline keys and textured pads to create a beautifully delicate piece. The last order, “For Your Mind”, is a tall glass of electrofunk. Razor sharp rhythms are further honed by slashes of vocoder lyrics, cascading notes and some bitter knob jerks culminate to round of the superb La Boum.

Fringe Society should be a familiar name to anyone who has visited one of our recent Wrong Era parties. Channeling the same slick electronic-funkiness of his DJ sets into four tracks of wildly different music for Wrong Era’s vinyl imprint, this is a record for all occasions that takes in dreamy cosmic-psychedelia, chugging dance-workouts and explosive peak-time bangers.

Death to Techno is a new, futuristic ep of “The White Screen", ever before into a world of ruff beats, dark electronics and analog effects. Bell Towers is finally back with a new record for Public Possession. Ikea Hack origi-nally produced for the runway, was too good not to explore further. Once again perfectly showcasing BT`s abillity to transform emotions into melodies, bridging gaps between various musical influences - the revisited and extendend ver-sions presented here, will leave you with two choices: Chillout & Dance Mix. In ad-dition the material was handed over to Baba Stiltz, who delivered his very own more minimalistic, extremly hypnotic take on the Ikea Hack.

Solar Phenomena keeps up a busy schedule with the third EP of 2018. This one comes from cult UK artist Duckett who's past collaborations include Tom Demac, Grimes Adhesif and Leif. Recently he has served up solo EPs for labels like Galdoors, UntilMyHeartStops and Wisdom Teeth. Mixing up elements of IDM, techno and ambient, he is a sculptor of timeless tracks that come from another world.

Joris Biesmans’ TVe imprint returns for it’s third installment, this time featuring it’s eponymous founder front, center and recording under his own name. Led by a forward-thinking electro remix from the ever-versatile Man Power, it’s another firm display of synth-led versatility, brimming with confidence and charisma. ‘Angry Baby’ is an irresistible pressure-pot of stomping house, as playful as it’s name and as demanding as its imaginary infant protagonist, with a truly hypnotic, elastic breakdown proving irresistible in a club context . Man Power’s aforementioned remix is less loopy, more analog, with his well-tooled production technique pushing the record’s texture into altogether more cosmic and overwhelming territory, led by wailing synthesis. Back to Biesmans for B2, and a more acidic, almost unnerving vision unfolds throughout ‘Connecting The Dots’, which does just that, linking futurist, Michigan influences with a more floor-focused, European aesthetic.

A new duo launches by the name of Ghost Vision. Fruit of these blissful moments when no imaginary wall obstructs the vision and the stream of consciousness gives up to the entrancing magic of the creative flow, 'Saturnus' is an upright mano a mano between two musicians and their gear, unchained from all preconceptions and biases; real (machine) talk as the hip-hop heads would say.
