« Curiositi » is the work of Nicolas Cueille, French composer and multi-instrumentalist. As for as name-dropping goes, “Curiositi” is Brian Eno and Moondog getting together to write the soundtrack to a new season of “Scavengers Reign”. Some will find nods to Laurie Spiegel or Haruomi Hosono, will probably want to watch scenes from « 2001 A Space Odyssey» and cuddle up with « Keyboard Fantasies » by Beverly Glen Copeland. Shipwrec have delved into the underbelly of electronics for their latest discovery. Fake Youth Cult is the brand new project of Richard van Kruysdijk, an artist who has been integral to the Dutch music scene. Following releases on Delsin, as well as founding his own Music for Speakers label, this latest undertaking explores the darker hues of Kruysdijk's audio creations. Across six tracks, a realm of shadows and steel is constructed. From the murky tones of "Visitor" to the industrial and blackened "Scorched", a towering sound of punishing percussion looms over the listener. Techno is central message. Despite this, the piercing coldness of electro rises in the incising and stark "Messing." The influence of punk comes to the fore in racing rhythms and lean strings that make up "Smear." BPMs drop in the slow burning EBM stained "Management." The machines take control for the finale. A relentless kick is the motor that drives this seven minute juggernaut to the close. Broad and brutish brilliance from a prodigious talent.

Ren Schofield’s long running electronic project Container returns with his first release since the Creamer EP in 2021. Rolling straight out of the pandemic Schofield has since played a large number of live shows all over the planet, rilling up audiences with a heady mix of method and mania. Now is the time to unleash a new studio offering.

Yacker presents what is undoubtedly an electronic record but one imbued with a spirit more aligned with rock music. Always hijacking the electronic music scene for his own unique and twisted path here we see a further extrapolation on his original blueprint for DIY noise techno adding a more physical and muscular edge to the standard hysterical proceedings. The drums retain an almost human, somewhat muscular feel with a sweaty and suggestive ‘real drums’ feeling.

Schofield cites inspiration on Yacker as the Nirvana song ‘Oh, The Guilt’, the Mindflayer album ‘It’s Always 1999’, and the Rah Bras song ‘Sooop Toe Pump Girls’. Container has always danced the absurd space between serious and stupid, with Yacker all elements are turned up to eleven as he delivers a pristine field guide to furious frenzied fun.

Yacker strikes an even balance between heavy, relentless, joyful, silly, and sloppy. Think Lollapalooza 1996 held at Berghain 2006 and you are somewhere on the way to formulating this fresh new insanity from one of the contemporary electronic music scene's more playful pioneers

naive's 20th release epitomizes what the Lisbon-based label, run by Violet, has become cherished for: imaginative yet timeless, soothing yet moody, melodic yet sonic music. Entitled 'Computer Hermetics', this new record is an EP by UrbnMowgli, a fairly new Berlin-based artist who began releasing music in 2020. The opening track, 'Fast Love Life', is a 145 bpm electro-bred, breakbeat-driven emotive dancefloor banger. It features menacing stabs juxtaposed with beautiful pads and acid-drenched arpeggio motifs that lend it a oneiric quality. 'Oracle Algorithm' picks up the 303 spirit and delves into trippier territories, densening the dreamlike, expansive atmosphere while infusing the record with electro-driven grit. Closing side A is 'Warschauer Rush-Hour', a futuristik, high-tempo twisted electro banger that's both tough and playful. 'Immaterial Desires' inaugurates side B--an ode to adventurous drum programming and intricate sound design in the form of a percussion-punctuated curveball belter. 'Digital Dawn' brings it all back home to the heart and closes the record with its deepest, most immersive moment, giving us big bass lines that alchemically converse with angelic bleepy melodies as if soundtracking a soulful sci fi movie that doesn't exist yet.

After creating the two V/A sound-tracks, Kimera Mendax EP (NIMKurojam 001) and Kimera Mendax Vol.2 (NimKurojam002), for this third release of Kuro Jam Recordings line, the team assigned to the Rome producer T/error - already featured on the second volume of Kimera Mendax series with two tracks (kx2048 on vinyl and Rising Tide in the digital re-pack) - the music version of the new, eponymous comic strip. The Data Surfer of the title is a special mixer: among its controllers, in addition to thosefor sounds, there is one that reads, mixes and recomposes space-time. What would happen if it ended up in the hands of a suburban hoodlum angry at the world and intoxicated by electronic music? The answer lies in an irregular and corrosive graphic journey that the graphic novel unravels in 6 chapters, in a symbiotic dialogue with the 6 vinyl tracks. Neither Timothy J. Fairplay, nor Norwell are strangers to the Dalmata Daniel family: both of them are trustworthy contributors to DD compilation albums of earlier years, plus Norwell has released his 'odd' EP and 'Joint Spaceflights' EP back in 2017 and 2019 on the label. So this time, it's a return for Norwell, and a debut for Mr. Fairplay: their Dds09 split EP is here to present 4 tracks full of outer space lights, eerie vibes, mesmerizing beats and cosmic energies.

Timothy J. Fairplay's side A starts with the explicit kicks and ominous basslines of 'Caliber 9'. Slowly and steadily, the laser blasts and relentless drums all add up to define a world of space cadets on the run, where any odd-looking figure can turn out to be a malignant, speedy alien. 'TV Tower' takes us to another planet with an even higher rotation velocity. Fast percussion elements and squished lower frequencies take center stage in this intergalactic episode, but the whistle-like melodies and descending, bubbling robot signals make the journey complete.

Flip to side B, and enter the contemplating, otherworldly atmospheres of Norwell. 'Midnight Rituals' gives you the chills with its breath-like swooshes, grievous sirens and deadly asteroid belts. Yet, there is no need to worry: after an intense ride with your spaceship, eventually you end up in the same spot, where you started: in the stable and steady mid-tempo beats of an expertly-programmed drummachine. The orbital mission comes to an end with 'Natives', a dense and heroic hymn with emotive structures and well-crafted harmonics. The track starts with the bittersweet, lamenting synths of a solo voice, pouring their heart out in the spotlight, all alone on the stage. All of a sudden, a hard-hitting, rhythmic groove commences its last rush of dedicated cadences. It is full of breaks, it is full of 303s, completed with airy echoes and dreamy, light gestures. 'Natives' keeps on building its structure with elegant paces, providing a massive, yet delicate experience of Norwell's defined aesthetics. The track lets the last strokes of its gloomy synths roll out, along with the final round of looping drums, thus putting an end to Dds09.

Idriss D welcomes to Memento Records UK electronic mavericks Dark Globe. The famed duo consisting of Pete Diggens and Matt Frost has been releasing influential music for the last 30 years, starting off with industrial noise inspired tunes and later developing their sound into an experimental blend of breakbeats and twisted melodies, in what they call “epic pop”, taking in influences from classical English composers to hip hop grooves. In the five years since his debut ‘Dance Class’ 12” on Will Hofbauer’s Third Place in 2019, London-via-Devon producer Sangre Voss has continued to melt minds and confuse dancefloors with his singular, head-turning productions. Having featured on Rhythm Section and Fabric Records, he’s also appeared on The Wire’s Below The Radar compilation series and on labels Control Freak, International Extraterrestrial Music, and more. Here though, the label’s main gun returns with four curious and brilliant productions. ‘Smyyre Myyrgu’ leads with folky strings and stabs as chunky percussion and mystical pads unfurl throughout. ‘Ersatz Terrasse’ is a floaty slow-fast affair, sliding through bright keys, skippy drums, and otherworldly effects. On the flip, ‘density of aha’ sees trippy, sluggish vocals and punchy drums combine, forming a bedrock for twisted, randomised synths. Does bringing digital music into the physical realm make it more real by offering it the tangibility of physical matter? The PERCEBES MÚSICA collective furthers the long term discussion on the relationships between medium and message, truth and illusion, worth and validity.
“Conversor” is a various artist compilation that at first glance feels like a single artist album. The cover does not explicitly state individual authors (only track titles, lengths and BPM are provided), as if to dilute the importance of self and ego, though the listener can attain said information when accessing the download codes inside. It is content from the ether pressed to matter through a Digital-to-Analog conversion process; selected tracks picked from the label’s recent digital catalogue, cleverly edited and placed together onto a record, made to create an introspective - yet physical - electronic soul LP with clear canonical undertones. Édouard Ribouillault (c_c) is known for his unique mix of bass and break distortions, his love for dub music, as well as his hypnotic one-hour performance with a table brimming with various gadgets and electronics.

Six Crossings is c_c’s ultimate recording with the electronic setup he has honed for nearly 10 years of live performances: several drum machines and a sampler interconnected to a mixing system and feedback effects, analog and digital hybrid.

Knots in the head, knots in the legs, Six Crossings is also how rhythms and textures intermingle to create autonomous forms with complex structures, which we observe evolve in time organically.

Between basic writing and improvisation, all the songs were recorded in a single take during the same day, at ZZLand, while he was back from the ZAD of Notre Dame Des Landes, charged with the good vibes of a huge party in support of Les Soulèvement de la Terre. The party was the first to be sonorised with the DistoMobile, a homemade XXL sound system inspired by dub sound system, but dedicated to atypical music.

"The album is also a humble tribute to the great Jah Shaka, Jamaican-English operator of a legendary sound system, but also producer and singer, who died in April 2023. The obsession with the physical effects of sound, from skin quivering to frantic dancing, was partly conveyed to me in his sessions where he guided the audience through a very powerful yet gentle introspective bubble.

Zero Plague - another neurovision broadcast by replicant agent MANASYt. The opener - is a dystopian death march anthem, guided by a rolling snare, thick kick and throbbing bass. Arpeggios sounding like wasps on acid hover in the background, adding to the atmosphere of imminent danger! Angellust - a hectic breathless industrial electro monster. First on the flip is the Novichok Mix for Poladroid. Petar and Vadim go way back to Roulette Rekordz in 2003, so this colab is natural, to say the least. It's the only time where the tempo slows down a bit on this EP. Bubbling worm-like bass, metallic percussion, cold windy pads and a classic electro lead take you on a journey to a soulless barren planet.

At last "In Deep Tongues". A heady schizophrenic exercise. A commanding beat, a grotesque polka bass followed by a paranoid synth lead pull you through a darkened maze with no exit. Underwater gurgles and fearsome corroded effects fill the air, no escape!

After 20 years, MANASYt hasn't slowed down or mellowed his intense immoderate sound one bit! And "Zero Plague" is undoubtedly a true testament to that!

He is an artist who couldn't care less about trends or hype, and whose main driving forces authenticate passion for this genre. Some of his tunes resemble future horror movie soundtrack, others a visit to a mental clinic, but most sound like what hostile aliens would listen to while attacking Earth.

Bulgarian dark mastermind Petar Tassev Manayst has been rocking his brand of Nuroelktro since 2003. He is responsible for a vast array of menacing titles on labels such as Touching' Bass, Kommando 6, Musar, and the infamous Bunker, along with 40 others. MANASYt is currently based in Xiamen, China.

Few artists have done as much as Heinrich Dressel to rekindle the genre of soundtracks. Even fewer are as capable as the Italian at writing such silver screen scores. Yet, Valerio Lombardozzi is much more than just one style. He has shown this time and time again, doing so once more with The Obscure Cities. Works of fiction, rather than film, are the fount of inspiration with tracks drawing on the likes of J.G. Ballard, Francois Schuiten, Benoit Peeters and Valerio Mattioli. The listener is transported to worlds of Dressel’s own making, landscapes of melody, textures of bass punctuated by drums. “Galatograd” opens. From understated beginnings, the track expands into a symphony of strings as columns of warmth descend. Tempos rise for “Eden Olympia”. A different tone is set. Juddering arpeggios and clean snares are elevated by bright and hopeful keys that sparkle with an enthusiasm and innocence. Deep unctuous bass gives way to gliding notes for “Remoria”. A piece where melodies and memories melt in the morning dawn. “Mylos” is the last visit of the EP. Delicate, almost fragile, notes are buttressed by drum patterns in this hazy dreamlike finale.

Through meticulously crafted tracks, it guides listeners on a shared and cherished voyage, forging connections through the universal languages of music, culture, and food.” Kashkaval - Is a cheese originating from the Balkans. When producing this electro track, it all came together quite swiftly, to be honest. I only needed one final element to complete it. Coincidentally, my dad was discussing this cheese at the time, so I recorded him talking about it on my phone and seamlessly integrated it into the track. I applied various effects and kept it subtle in the mix, making it almost unrecognizable in Albanian. The chords fell into place after that. Constant Sorrow - This song took shape during the pandemic. I had nearly completed the concept, and for some time before that, I had been in conversation with producer and vocalist Keith Caden. I believed his vocal talents would be a perfect fit for this track. I shared the track and its title with him, and he subsequently wrote the vocals, even contributing harmonica and a few other embellishments. I'm particularly fond of this electro-style track, and Keith's vocals truly bring a unique and special dimension to it. From The Ashes - Electro played a significant role in this album. When I mention electro, it's not the typical style of tracks but rather a more unique approach. The vocals on this album truly infuse profound meaning into the songs, and I have a deep appreciation for the way the chords resonate and create a dynamic bounce in the tracks. Crown Royal - There's an amusing backstory to the essence of this track. "Crown Royal" harkens back to a liquor we used to enjoy back in the day. We'd have our Crown Royal and pair it with those Black & Mild cigars – quite the combo! This track was born from the memories of those late-night drives back home from the club.

Now in its tenth year, Frankfurt-based record label Die Orakel has earned itself a strong catalogue of classy releases in a distinct sonic and visual attitude, its latest being a compilation called Braindance.

A fair assumption about Braindance as a genre could be, that it's rather in the zone of kaleidoscopic and whimsical quirktronica, less about IDM's futurist tropes. From Die Orakel's point of view, its very own Braindance compilation marks the label's tenth anniversary by releasing an intense listener's atlas, to its own and their creative collaborators' musical slant of mind.

Broken Techno/Electronica label Theoretical Rhythms is back with another vinyl release. This time it is a 4-track compilation EP called "Confessions". Mystic Transfers is a label focusing on experimental music and club cuts from around the world, taken from the suburbs. Mystic Valley - Mystic Valley is the new musical project by Andrea B, architect, collector and producer from Florence, Italy. His sound is best described as a melting pot of Italian psychedelic influences, from obscure downtempo to new beat, as well as English breakbeat and German EBM. After years of Tropical Animals he started with Felis Oxiana the project ‘’Galattica’’ and from 2021 is one of the founders of Mizuna. Heading coach of the post punk group Zona Utopica Garantita, he began to work with them since they started to play, and together they launched the label ‘’Mystic Transfers’’, focusing on experimental music and club cuts from around the world. SPO - Drummer in the ’00 of the underground scene in Florence fond of the 70s Progressive Rock sounds and experimental, co-founder in 2006 of the DIY label La Statua Sommersa Produzioni. Poison Point is the trancey body music solo project operated by Paris-based producer and live artist, Timothée Gainet.

Started off in 2016, he shared the stage with bands such as Drab Majesty, Xeno & Oaklander, Adult, Rendez-Vous and Silent Servant, shared remixes with Qual, Sydney Valette, Blind Delon, all this while running his other industrial techno outfit IV Horsemen. You can tell Timothée is a busy guy and yet he managed to grow Poison Point since his debut album on Third Coming, getting releases out on Aufnahme + Wiedergabe and Young And Cold.

Bosconi Records is thrilled to announce a distinctive vinyl release that harks back to berlin 2000’s good old days The featured track of this release unveils Console’s , known and active as Acid Pauli, reinterpretation of a track that gained fabio’s attention during his stay in Berlin in 2000. Fabio Della Torre, the owner and A&R of Bosconi Records, stumbled upon this hidden gem during his year in Berlin as many djs in the city were spinning it. Finally his quest to uncover the origins of this track led him to a CD release on the label of Angelika Köhlermann. The track in question is Console’s reimagining of “Let’s Rock Baby” a composition by the independent musician and video artist Anne Laplantine, who adopted the Japanese-sounding alias Michiko Kusaki. This version was originally released alongside a series of remixes by artists such as Dmx krew, Felix Kubin, and Adult, all featured on Angelika Köhlermann’s label.

Today, Bosconi Records is thrilled to bring this iconic track to light again on vinyl, accompanied by fresh interpretations. It’s important to note that these reinterpretations breathe life into Console’s work, not Laplantine’s original track, making Console’s version the centerpiece of this release. We have a banger version from German electro luminary The Exaltics which his typilcal electro techno trademark sound. The Exaltics had just released his new album on Clone and has been featured by Helena hauff in her Fabric Mix compilation. Italian producers Voodoos & Taboos, known for their homonymous label and with an recent “banger” on Bordello a Parigi with an electro playful version.
