Analha was one of the first approaches I had with the design of analog basses and drums, to understand the way in which we can involve so many sounds and transform them to our own liking, to give it its own narrative, a sense, an identity in which it can be navigated about different styles without problem.

They are two pieces that make up totally different break paths where "Mi ama Dic K no" [a1] is my own exploration and vision of the break beat, three melodies written in F # that count the subtlety, while the bass contrasts in an aggressive idea to the beat of many changing rhythms in the drums, which sorfs between a Mpc, 808, Dsm & V Modular ; Classic trip hop voices samples that guide the way this own idea progresses on the breaks and pads that generate a more complete environment with a very energetic atmosphere that is constantly on the rise in the active and natural development of the track.

Towards the B side "Run mami run" [b1] is composed by a classic intro of acid cut while some seconds of drums interpose which are accompanied by a radio narration of a chase, a return change is present with a vinyl spin between voices from GTA & WU Tang Clan which make an intro for an infusion of breaks fully aligned to the beginnings of oldskool drum and bass which are accompanied by voices recorded, treated and edited to connect more directly between the spaces interrupted by the glitch acid chords.

Among contrary structures "Analha" contains hidden but marked criticisms, it is a project that comes from 2018 and ended at the beginning of 2019 which made him think about how to involve more than music within his own sound narrative.

The sonorous identity of rachiid today is different, he understands his environment but does not believe in adapting, he tells us that each exploration and discovery during these years have led him to think how this first release was born until now but is not connected at all with what nowadays, describes his sonority today as changeable, essential and highly with IDM, experimental and breaks.

Black Barrel began his journey under the banners of Dispatch, with his first album on the label a defining part of his rise as an artist. The Russian native has since proven his weight. And following a host of EPs and his debut album "Last Frontier" in 2018, he's now firmly established himself from newcomer to a frequent part of set lists across the drum & bass genre. This is set to continue with his brand-new LP, which is about debut once again on Dispatch, with Black Barrel making new ground and building on the platform he created with the label's encouragement three years prior.

The full 12 track digital album entitled "Just Keep My Life" which is due to drop this September from Black Barrel sees him grow his production repertoire and dip into uncharted territories, proving that he's not yet finished evolving his artistry.

Since the early days of electronic music, white label records have been inextricably linked to DJ culture and the ways in which underground music has been disseminated. unknown - untitled draws on the white label concept withholding details about the producers behind the tracks and leaving listeners to draw their own conclusions about what they’re hearing. The concept label focuses primarily on vinyl releases, with previews of the tracks available online, but information about the artists only to be found within the record sleeve itself. Several weeks after the vinyl is out, there is a digital release that reveals who was behind the tracks. The roster ranges from new and emerging producers to more established artists looking to explore new sounds. The label's second release, presents four glitched out expansive cuts taking in everything from warped jungle and twisted percussive workouts to cerebral techno and immersive IDM. The very first release, before there was Suburban Base, was a Boogie Times release which didn't even carry a label name or logo... Boogie 001 under the artist name 'Phuture Assassins' became the record that really did start it all. So what is more appropriate than the next release in a continued order of catalogue numbers for the whole new era of Suburban Base than a Phuture Assassins release as Subbase 77 to continue your collection.

Leading with the unreleased Dead Dred '95 Dubplate which was considered a 'lost Dat' until it was recently unearthed amongst the archive of masters in Sub Base storage. You can imagine how excited we were to rediscover this and were able to save and remaster it for release. This was intended as part of a remix package that never ended up being released and was only available to a selected few as a Dubplate, that is, until now.

Alongside it we have included the 2 Bad Mice remix, which is now considered not only a classic but it is also the definitive mix of 'Future Sound', for those of you that were looking for a reissue. Its been expertly remastered to superb quality.

You wanted a brand new remix? Mark XTC & Exile's 'Future Sound' 2021 Remix brings the 1992 future to the 2021 present! They have given the timeless Suburban Base classic 'Future Sound' the remix treatment, producing 'raise your lighter' moments in their inimitable style, drum and bass with deep subs, whilst still keeping to the original vibes of this classic.

And completing the package is a version from the legendary Cause4Concern, their remix of Future Sound was only ever promo'd and despite receiving critical acclaim and extensive club play it never saw a full release. Now it's being fully unleashed in beautifully re-mastered form.

Back in 1993, Aston was the one half to the Suburban Base act 'Rap and Aston' as well as part of 'Engineers Without Fears' and earlier 'The Blapps Posse', he then went on to form the hugely successful group 'The Freestylers'. Over six tracks, Sha Sha channels the hair-raising spirit of '90s rave along with her formative experiences with DMZ-via-Low End Theory dubstep and punk rock. Drawing from the Los Angeles punk rock and '90s rave music that soundtracked her youth, Total Chaos personifies how she grew up on the dance floor, showcasing Sha Sha's tried and true ability to express rich, nuanced emotions through tracks that, first and foremost, can level a warehouse party. Kicking off the vibe on July 30, the EP's lead single "Save The World" is a perfect representation of this, with the jump-up rave cut employing a megaton breakbeat and sickly-sweet vocal samples over simmering base of dark, UK-influenced atmospherics. ‘Feed Me Weird Things’ was Squarepusher’s debut album. Released on 3rd June 1996 by Rephlex Records (jointly run by Richard D James and Grant Wilson Claridge). Tom had previously released the Conumber EP (as Squarepusher) and Alroy Road Tracks (as the Duke of Harringay) on the newly formed Spymania label the year before. The album was preceded by the Squarepusher Plays EP in May of 1996 also on Rephlex. The extra tracks from this EP not on the original album made up the Japanese bonus tracks when it was released there and will be included in our reissue.

The album was a key release for Rephlex and has gone on to be regarded as one of Squarepusher’s best. It marked a time of strong influence and although they wouldn’t have used the term, led to the sub-genre of Drill n Bass.

Tom’s strong jazz influences and virtuoso bass playing come to the fore on this album setting it apart from his contemporaries.

The album including all bonus tracks has been remastered by Matt Coulton at Alchemy.

This will also be the first time the album is available on streaming services.

With a fundamental emphasis on the encouragement of genre hybridization, Evar Records, the Los Angeles-based imprint co-founded by Trickfinger (John Frusciante) and Aura T-09 (Marcia Pinna), continues its momentum with an expansive 9-track collection from Netherlands-based luminary, Limewax.

After making a strong first impression with its 2020 debut offerings, Evar Records has recruited Limewax to carry forward its mission of blurring boundaries and challenging conventions in electronic music. The Ukranian hard drum and bass hero happily obliged, referring to signing with Evar as a breaking point which allowed him, finally, to take full stock of his background in classical and electronic music simultaneously. Although Maxim Anokhin is widely known for his hard-edged breakbeats, releasing on labels such as Tech Itch Recordings, Position Chrome, Freak Recordings, and Prspct, the full scope of his artistry shines through on Untitled.

The opening cut, "Porcelaineworm," is a futuristic electro cut recalling IDM classics like AFX's "XMD5A." Of course, the virtuosic drum programming and hectic D&B sound which Limewax has built his reputation upon is here in spades on tracks like "Stay Lackey. Cuts like "Ushio" and "Whay1" are fascinating studies in contrastsâ€”the former balances bludgeoning techno of the Ansome and Perc variety with a resolve that recalls Fennesz's pastoral glitch abstractions. "Whay1," meanwhile, is sub-rattling drum and bass nuanced by cinematic string themes. "Getupa" is an experimental beat track that truly bangs, its layers of texture and field recordings placing Limewax in the company of bleeding-edge acts like SVBKVLT's breakout star Hyph11E. The very next track, "19NB," is a subtle update to the original minimal technical template established by Detroit icons Robert Hood & Jeff Mills.

While most of the album hurtles forward at hard techno and D&B tempos, "Maleisae" is a sensual 70 BPM track mixing ghostly R&B and acid. That spectacular cut heralds Untitled's intricate denouement. The brief "Wernmqbram" effortlessly reconciles a baroque minor-key piano theme with the renegade snares of classic jungle. "Hasan" is a true "closing credits" master stroke, half-time acid giving way to gorgeous IDM-meets-Blade Runner synth leads.

Far from a genre-jumping hodgepodge, Untitled is a remarkably coherent full-length by a virtuosic artist free to explore the entirety of their creative influences. The Tilburg-based artist cites the poets Marina Tsvetaeva and David Whyte as influential on Untitled and also listened to works by 1771-1862 works by organ builders when crafting the album. The end result reveals Limewax as a masterful, diverse artist, capable of any style he pursues. It's a clear indicator of the boundless promise of Evar's core principleâ€”a staunch refusal to put artists in boxes.

Sapien Beat takes the tempo down to a 2-step rhythm without compromising on poignancy. Opening the flip, Would You Do That To Me morphs from a halftime dancehall-inspired stepper into tearout jungle. The breaks continue on the UK hardcore influenced Feelz while Get Well Soon is a minimal, atmospheric builder closing the record with a message of hope.
