The Boogie Times label is back with 4 cuts from a very elusive artist. There has been much speculation over the years as to the identity behind the Disciples Of The Watch moniker. Sharp eared listeners have attributed the sound of the breakbeats to one artist, while others are as convinced their deductions from the sound of a bassline can attribute the production to someone else. Perhaps it’s who they think? Maybe it’s not? Possibly it’s a collective of artists? All we can say is that Disciples Of The Watch make great music! Back in 1992 the Dance In Peace EP received an incredibly limited white label run and was only available from a handful of specialist record shops. The scarcity of this release means that it has now reached near mythical status and has seen it selling for as much as £200 on the second-hand vinyl market. This is the highly prized first EP from Ramos, Supreme & Sunset Regime, originally released on their own label back in the mid 90’s. It is, and always will be, an absolute classic of an EP. We are proud to be able to remaster and repress this release while keeping it as close to the original look as possible. All four tracks smashed dance floors at clubs and raves back in the day. Marley’s Rush comes in with two different versions, one being slightly harder than the other and both being amazing breakbeat hardcore tracks that sum up the era perfectly. Intruder is a perfect example of the edgier side to hardcore. It's not quite jungle and definitely not happy hardcore, it is just hardcore in its rawest form. Finally, the lead track, one of the best tracks from 1994, I Got The Real Feel (‘94 Mix). An updated version of the 1992 original by Sunset Regime. They don’t come much bigger than this and that is why the whole EP is in so much demand second hand.

The second release on Eternal Soul features a limited Colored Vinyl and digital Ep of tracks from the mighty old school partnership of Dj Fokus and Voyager, who drop four cuts filled with classic original DnB vibes in their own distinctive styles.

First up, Dj Fokus brings a huge classic track back from the Day with 'Online' which has stayed true to its original golden era style, but with a new line of code in the beats to give it a fresh twist. Also straight out of the vault is the completely unreleased track, 'Inteliqo' which was made around 1995 in the legendary Monroe studios, but stayed hidden on DAT until 2021. Both tracks have those authentic 90's vibes and are sure to drop!

Following on are two tracks from Voyager that feature his distinct style and rolling beats. 'Aurora remix' takes the original deep atmospheric stepper and drops a rolling Amen into the mix that adds a new take on lifting the lush pads and melodies of the original into a more upfront style. Ibtihalat is a cyclical and boundless summoning of an otherworldly force in the face of geographic calamities and contingencies. These invocations are inherent to the musical traditions of Gnawa, Amazigh, Rai in North Africa and Sea Music, Laywa and Samiri in the Arabian Peninsula. Ibtihalat is oddly metered, percussively charged with devotional sublimities that are a direct conversation with an overall obscene history of cultural coercion and extractive violence. Whether it is the emigrational history of the female-led performances of Taggagat in Saudi Arabia and the Laywa music of East African roots that was disseminated by gulf seamen, or the Za’ar / Samiri conjurations to communicate with the celestial. The compositions that make up the album introduce processes of musical synthesis and predictive algorithms, initiating rhythmic meters, accents and polyrhythms within beat-based compositions, that are inaccessible through dominant tools in music production. While drawing resonances between these styles and their overlaps with dance music, Ibtihalat contemplates musical futures of these practices within geographies morphed by an unprecedented migration, logistical and extractive accelerations. Mhamad Safa is a musician, architect and researcher, based between London and Beirut. Safa’s work focuses on multi-scalar spatial conditions and their sonic make-ups. He explores their intersections with aural legacies of traditional and subcultural practices as well as environments of conflict and violence. He conveys these auditory inquiries by assembling sound design, micro-sampling, algorithmic sound technology, psychoacoustics, field recordings, and their graphic interpretations. Culminating with heavily percussive and rhythmically odd interventions, these sonic irregularities are often repurposed as speculative experimentations on the futures of dance culture.

With such a strong first release to Prime we had to make sure that the second EP could live up to the hype, and boy did it ever, nearly selling out within the first week or sales! Dee Sub is an ex-pat that now resides in New Zealand but has been honing his craft for many years now, and what he has produced here is an excellent and authentic early rave EP. Side A is a piano led breakbeat track with big hoovers and bleeps to back up the sound, and it really makes you feel like you're listening to the music for the first time. Then side B is more Belgium techno in style, taking cues from labels such as R&S and many others. Hoover led with a kick and the bleeps plus the 303 in full effect. This is the first release from our new label, Kniteforce Prime, a label that is focusing on the very early days of rave, 1990-91. With more people returning to the roots of hardcore rave music, and that sound being the inspiration since the inception of Kniteforce Records, we felt it was time to start this new label. The 1990/91 era is full of bleeps, bass, pianos and breaks, and so Kniteforce Prime is heavily influenced by the Belgium techno, Italian Piano House, and UK old school sound of that time. So when it came to an opening artist for the label there was only one person to choose, Innercore. He has been making this style, along with others, for many years, and with this huge EP he didn’t disappoint. The tracks are as varied as the sound was back in those days. Piano’s, hoovers and synths are all here across the EP, from light to dark and everything in the middle.

To complement the new album “Lethal” from original old school legend Liquid, we wanted to do a special remix EP that took two of the most amazing tracks from that LP and give them a different twist. Ray Keith’s remix of “Dread Inna Babylon” sees him going all the way back to his jungle days to produce something that is unmistakably Ray Keith. The bass is heavy and the breaks are as hard as nails, all in Ray’s classic style. This will smash dance floors and bedroom speakers for a long time to come. Then on the opposite side we have an insane remix from the old school maestro, Acen. He took the original vocal led track and completely flipped the script while losing none of the beautiful essence that the vocal brings. If anything, his remix highlights it with some amazing pianos, hoovers and the signature Acen breaks that have been slaying raves for 30 plus years.

We're here with the 14th vinyl release in our catalogue. And those of you who've been following us since day one can probably tell that it's something both new and quite familiar. How so? Well, because this particular record features a brilliant track released on CD ten years ago (!), as part of our "Mystical Deep Vol. 2" compilation, but the "new" part here is the two completely fresh remixes by two amazing artists. So let's get to the names, shall we? As for the track in question, we're talking about "Leagues Deep" - a forward-thinking half-stepper by two heavyweights known as Loxy & Resound. The track has been making waves for quite a while, and has finally reached the light of day on vinyl. As mentioned before, it is accompanied by two remixes. One is by an up-and-coming talent going by the name of Am94, who turns the original version into a dual narrative, so to speak: the first half is a proper action-packed syncopated roller, the second half - a more modern, deep sub-laden half-tempo interpretation of it. The other remix is brought to you by no one else than Resound himself, who's transformed the original piece into a breakneck-paced drum-focused killer. But do watch out for the bassline too - it takes absolutely no prisoners. You've been warned.

"How does it feel to reminisce? That was something I wanted to try to capture in soundwaves. I tend to reminisce a lot. About the good and bad parts in the past, and everything in between. I try to remember which specific parts in my life made me who I am today. Thinking about those events is going to make me feel a certain way, and i wanted to try to convert these feelings into songs.

Reminiscing to me, is also a very visual experience in my head. So I decided to take sounds that were close to me from the past and make something cinematic that still works as a full song. I've been using a lot of granulated sounds, which is almost like a shattered memory reconstructed into a new one, as your feelings can change recovering the same memory.
