Belt Drive
Alva ST uses the proven belt-drive method, supplemented with electronic motor speed control. After connecting the belt for the first time, you won’t need to look under the platter again. Rotation speed selection is made by 2 neat electronic buttons on the ST’s aluminium top surface – so you can effortlessly switch between playing albums and singles.

Aluminium, Tuned
Alva ST’s platter is aluminium die-cast, finished by CNC to ensure a totally level and smooth surface. The 17mm high aluminium platter is finished with a 5mm rubber mat – a combination proven to reduce unwanted resonance.

All-New Tonearm
After hours of testing, our engineers selected a new high-mass, low-resonance tonearm for Alva TT V2 and Alva ST. By minimising resonant frequencies, and in combination with the cartridge, it helps retrieve the maximum detail from your records. A detachable die-cast aluminium headshell makes swapping cartridges easy – then fine-tuned with greater precision thanks to a new anti-skating dial.

MC Cartridge Pre-installed

We designed the high-output Moving Coil (MC) cartridge with an exposed cantilever. It reduces unwanted resonance and vibration, delivers high levels of gain and outstanding musical detail during playback.

Direct Drive
Alva TT V2 has a medium-torque Direct Drive motor, like its predecessor the TT. The 8 pole, 3 phase, brushless DC motor is quartz controlled to ensure accurate turntable speed. With precision control, and silent running, Alva TT V2 achieves just 0.06% wow and flutter. This means excellent pitch stability – particularly during longer, more sustained, musical notes.

Reassuringly Solid Platter
Complimenting the direct drive motor, Alva TT V2’s platter has the feel of finely polished stone. It’s made from Polyoxymethylene, a semi-crystalline thermoplastic used in precision engineering applications, where high stiffness and dimensional stability are demanded. The weight of the platter, coupled with our medium torque direct drive motor, ensures excellent speed stability during playback of records.

Our AXA35 integrated amp offers 35 watts per channel and has a built-in moving magnet phono stage – perfect for vinyl enthusiasts. A white LED dot matrix display confirms listening source, and separate tone controls mean you can adjust the sound to suit your taste. The built-in phono stage is the ace up AXA35’s sleeve. It means that you can plug a turntable straight in without any extra kit. Moving magnet (MM) compatibility means AXA35 works with a wide variety of turntables – including that vintage one you’ve had your eye on. Soon you’ll be playing the records you’ve been saving for, and planning what to buy next.

Setting the Tone
With separate bass and treble controls, you can fine-tune AXA35’s sound to suit your taste, speakers and room dynamics. The volume level is shown on the LED dot matrix display, and with 35 watts per channel you’ll have plenty of kick for smaller to medium sized rooms.

Wired for Sound
AXA35 is a well-connected amp, with no less than 4 pairs of RCA inputs, plus a pair of phono sockets for a turntable and a pair of recording outputs. There’s a rear USB socket for technical upgrades. Hi-fi quality speaker binding posts (connectors), compatible for banana plugs, mean that thick cable connects securely for an authentic sound.

Attention to Detail

Rock Solid Foundations
Hi-fi speaker engineering starts with the cabinet. Computer-aided design (CAD) was used extensively to refine SX60’s internal structures, to ensure that while the drivers are vibrating with your music, the cabinet isn’t. This means that every millimetre of movement from the drivers is directed where it should be – at you.

Stand and Deliver
SX60 speakers have a 165mm (6.5") woofer made from treated paper. Hi-fi manufacturers have used it for years, as paper’s impressive strength-to-weight ratio is matched by excellent tonality – so instruments sound rich, well defined, and real. 25mm (1") soft dome tweeters, made from treated silk, take care of the higher frequencies – with the same balance of realism and refinement.

Our team in London took great care and attention when designing the crossovers in SX60 – as they’re responsible for ensuring that each driver receives the correct frequency. Accuracy of timing and stereo imaging depend on phase remaining completely linear, from top to bottom. The result? Your music sounds engaging, energetic and real.

Engineered, Front to Back
Attention to detail on SX60 runs from front to back. There’s a neat bass reflex port, directly under the woofer, which emphasises lower frequencies to provide rich engaging sound. The Clearaudio V2 moving magnet cartridges are meticulously measured, analysed, and hand-selected into four Performance levels. In this way Clearaudio achieves the best stereo channel
matching, minimum phase error and distortion, flattest frequency response and highest dynamic range at each price point. The cartridges produce an audiophile sound of superlative quality – spatially detailed and vividly textured, with bass that does not wallow and treble that is not harsh.

The models of the Clearaudio MM V2 series provide outstanding sound quality on all current tonearms. With the exception of the MM V2 Concept, which is made of aluminium, all the cartridges in this series are made with housings of hand-polished ebony – the key to record-breaking weight values. The new Clearaudio Turntable Vinyl Harmo-nicer mat: A genius development to improve any turntable sound quality.

This new turntable mat, made out of pure vinyl, will improve the contact between the platter surface and the LP. Every LP-record will sound more dynamic and more authentic. More balanced sound at low frequency and higher definition at middle and high frequency. This is possible becouse of the fact, that the vinyl Harmo-nicer mat is made from pure vinyl and has therefore identical speed propagation velocity as a LP. Tehe overall vibration energy - coused by tracking process - is trasfered with no reflection to teh platter.

The bottom surface of the Harmo-nicer mat is absulutely flat and polished. the top surface of Harmo-nicer mat has a special surface structure, which ensures maximum contact points to the LP-record surface than a regular platter surface.

Highest performace will be achieved if you are using the Clearaudio Outer Limit, Clearaudio Locator and a Clearaudio Record Clamp (e.g. Clever Clamp). The use of the Harmo-nicer turntable platter mat results in a bass control improvement, a better tonal balance. more precision in the middle and high frequencies and a highe overall dynamic.

Please note: While using the Clearaudio Harmo-nicer, you should re-adjust the VTA (Vertical-Tracking-Angle), accordingly to the trickness of the Harmo-nicer. The Harmo-nicer can be cleaned like a normal record, we do recommend to use the clearaudio record cleaning machine Matrix.
