We are very happy to welcome back Mr. Rick Wade on the 25th Rawax Motor City Edition! It's almost the 4th release form Rick Wade on this series, which is dedicated to the Love for Detroit Music and in our opinion the strogest so far!

Although this is his first solo album, he was not alone on this sonic adventure. Underground house heads will very much be familiar with this tune. It has been circulating as a white label owned only by the coolest and most connected cats and now Detroit badman Marcellus Pittman does the right thing and gives it an official pressing on his own Unirhythm label. A-side jam 'Pick Yourself Up' (feat Crystal Procedures) is dusty, loopy, trippy house with swirling vocals adding to the late night feel, then 'Ode 2 Juan' slows things down to smoky basement house vibes with melancholic pads bringing hints of light to the muggy atmosphere.

Fly Free is the newest EP by Jon Dixon on his Hi-Tech Jazz label, 4EVR 4WRD (Forever Forward). He collaborated with 2 good friends and Detroit legends, John "Jammin" Collins and Al Ester to create two unique edits that best suit their personal DJ style. He is no stranger to both jazz heads and techno innovators. He's played with UR's Timeline with Mad Mike, Carl Craig to jazz great Marcus Belgrave. "I wanted to make something that could be the theme song for a Detroit summer regardless of where you're going or coming from," Jon said. "I wanted to create a song that was perfect for cruising down Jefferson heading to Belle Isle, or being stuck in downtown traffic after a game." Jon Dixon took something so familiar to the people of Detroit and transformed it into a piece the world can dance to.

BerettaMusic, known for discovering and developing Detroit talent and serving as a launching ground for several well known artists such as Seth Troxler, Ryan Crosson, Luke Hess and many others continues on the heels of many recent successful records. The label further solidifies their legacy in Detroit dance music with a release from Detroit native John “Zoetic” Briggs.

Briggs, a.k.a. Zoetic (Atjazz Records, Yoruba Records), brings his talents to BerettaMusic, one of Detroit's hottest boutique record labels, with his distinctive take on electronic dance music. His “Spirit World” EP is an electronic 'chef-d'oeuvre' that skillfully weaves Techno, House, Funk, Jazz, and World music elements, creating a unique release perfect for the dancefloor and your headphones. Beretta label boss Ryan Sadorus (one half of Airport Society) steps up on remix duties to deliver a hypnotic deep house jam perfect for those late night sets.
