The company specializes in auspicious ornaments such as Oriental zodiac ornaments, beckoning cats, hina dolls, May dolls, wind chimes, and mosquito repellent containers, as well as pottery that adds seasonal color.While many manufacturers outsource product design, Chugai Toen created an in-house system to produce high-quality items.

It's one of the so-called Six Old Kilns Rokkoyo located in a historic pottery district which maintains from even before from the Kamakura Era.
