Altın Mikrofon (Golden Microphone) is a music contest organized in 1965 by "Hürriyet", one of the biggest newspapers of the time. The first Golden Microphone contest was organized in 1965. The qualifiers of the 2nd Competition organized in 1966 were held in 9 hours in front of a jury including the famous artist Zeki Müren. This time 7 finalists were selected and their contest tracks were released as 45 rpm singles. They gave concerts in Izmir, Ankara, Istanbul, Bursa, Bursa, Eskişehir, Samsun and Konya. The last concert was again held in Istanbul. Silhouettes won the contest with 4563 votes. Second place was Blue Lights with 2850 votes, just like last year. The third with 2382 votes was Selçuk Alagöz. The finalists Kent Yedilisi, T.P.A.O.Batman Orkestrası, Cahit Oben, Siluetler, Ali Atasagun, Mavi Işıklar and Selçuk Alagöz Orkestrası shaped the Turkish Pop Music and Anatolian Rock movement

Altın Mikrofon (Golden Microphone) is a music contest organized in 1965 by "Hürriyet", one of the biggest newspapers of the time. The first Golden Microphone contest was organized in 1965. The goal with this competition was to support Turkish Light Western Music, which is just beginning to emerge. Hürriyet explained the purpose of the contest by saying, "The Golden Microphone Gift Contest is designed to give a new direction to Turkish music by utilizing the rich techniques and forms of western music and playing it with western instruments." 78 artists participated in the first competition, which was a record among the competitions of the period. The first prize for the winning artist was to be made into a record and to play in a music hall on a regular basis. Forty-one artists submitted their works to the competition and these songs were evaluated by a jury of 80 people. Of the artists who participated, 10 made it to the finals. These 2 albums were originally released as single 45 rpm in 1965. Many of the artists featured on the album later became famous and shaped Turkish Pop Music. Among the artists featured on the album are Cahit Oben Orchestra, Silüetler, Mavi Işıklar Orchestra and the Selçuk Alagöz Orchestra became the pioneering representatives of the movement later called "anatolian Rock"

Historical Graffiti is the band’s fourth full-length, out in 2016. Gary Arce, the guitarist, seems comfortable sitting on a single vamp throughout the opener ‘The Wind Cries Edalyn’, allowing the additions of violin and bandoleon accordion (played by the tango musicians Sara Ryan and Adolfo Trepiana, respectively) to weave melodies in between. Despite the titular connection to the Jimi Hendrix song, it bears no discernible resemblance to ‘The Wind Cries Mary’ and it is a deceptive number; what seems such a simple, almost easy-listening song reveals more colour with every listen. ‘Her Phantom Finger of Copenhagen’ is slightly darker and almost sounds, with the slight distortion on Arce’s guitar, as if it could have come from Pot Head, the EP the band released in 2005. Mario Lalli, the bass player, begins the third song, ‘Naomi Crayola’ with a throbbing single note, aided by Bill Stimson’s metronomic drumming. Imagine if Can grew up near the beach, it’s that sort of vibe. The only problem with the song – and the album, as it happens – is that it is too short. Ryan’s violin returns in ‘The Secret Language of Elephants’, this time playing the role of keeping the main vamp alive while Arce’s guitar generates an evocative soundscape that opens in your mind a wide, violet sky like that above a desert the moment after the sun disappears for the night. The closing song and title track is the most free of the five on the album, with Stimson’s beat conjuring memories of Kyuss’s more mellow moments from Welcome to Sky Valley, Lalli’s bass marking the simplest of bottom ends and Arce having a ball over the top. 1st Repress in Limited Edition of Trees Speak’s debut album. Trees Speak's debut record, Trees Speak, is the band's first of five albums they've produced in half a decade, and it is finally getting its worldwide reissue to their fans' long-awaited anticipation. Released on Cinedelic Records. Before their first album, they planned to create music with an unrehearsed approach performing simple beats, riffs, sequences, and going by instinct. They endeavored to create an auditory environment that let the listener's mind to be set free of tone, melody, and structure. They began to experiment with sounds, blending vintage aesthetics and equipment, which led them on an unexpected journey into creating and producing records. Always with their roots in 1960s-70s jazz, rock and roll, and experimental music they began to experiment with live sound performances and performance art. The band's live performances dramatically captured their idea of merging early experimental music such as the Dadaist, John Cage, and early electronic experimental music. While their music might seem organic and unrehearsed, the band has developed an creative way of communicating ideas into sound using visual art. For example, they use diagrams when communicating a musical idea. The band often refers to musical diagrams to express dynamics, chords, key signatures, and emotional expressions. These graphic notations are a template to communicate esoteric concepts, which they ingeniously transform into their music. They also use this form of illustrated art expression during live performances and in-studio recordings. It is a simple way to explain an overarching idea through music and art. Trees Speak are Daniel Martin Diaz and Damian Diaz both appear also on the album by Others (Cinedelic Records).

"Technical Aggression" is their 1987 Demo featuring five songs of fast and violent thrash metal that betrays the hardcore influence only in its speed and in the super-aggressive approach. The LP version features 4 extra never heard before tracks recorded live at the CBGB's in 1987 with an incredibly good sound. The CD version features the whole CBGB's show as bonus and two additional tracks recorded live in 1988, never heard before as well. Squadra Omega is one of the bands which best represents the vast spectrum of the Italian underground. Psychedelic, avant-garde, jazz-rock, improvisation, kraut-rock, rock in opposition and ethno-tribalism blend seamlessly into the work of a collective that moves and expands depending on the urgency of the moment, focused around a core that rotates around the two members OmegaMatt and OmegaG8. Materia Oscura (Dark matter) offers a glimpse at the same time the soil of the "rock" matter as well as the alien, seen from multiple points of view, neighbors and materials distant and mysterious. Three tracks that stretch their eyes at Orient or Africa as well as into the depths of the cosmos, landing on the side of the art-rock of the '70s and towards some psychedelic, visionary, cinematic drives then explode into a real ecstatic trip. Inputs from Coltrane, Canterburian jazz-rock, Grateful Dead and Synthy-Space views are melted into free-form landings until they discover their own personal form of prog. Different Universes collide and coexist in the band in a constant mutation, maintaining faith in one single ideal: "music for the third eye”.

Solar Project don´t try to impress with technical craftsmanship, fast licks or complex passages, but concentrate with a Pink Floyd-like overall sound. Led by guitarist/vocalist Gabriele Fiori, also of Black Rainbows, Killer Boogie come across as more geared toward the retro-style '70s rock currently holding sway on the European scene in the wake of Graveyard‘s blues rock supremacy, but their take is rawer than most, and that gives them an edge. An incredible debut album !! Biography Fuzz Fuzz Fuzz!!! Killer Boogie is band well versed in the making of ’70s riff making; a new machine in the retro ’n’ roll scene adept at mixing bluesy frequencies into an extremely fuzzy sound with psychedelic shades.The band is formed by Gabriele Fiori on guitars and vocals, Luigi Costanzo on drums and new bassist Nicola Cosentino who joined the band for the new album in early 2017. Their debut album "Detroit" in early 2015 surprisely recieved much attention and great feedbacks, who bring the band to play at Desert Fest Berlin and Duna Jam. After a split with other cool bands of the scene as Golden Grass, Banquet and Wild Eyes the band wrote a wonderful sophomore album in the spring 2017 and recorded in the summer. "Those who meditate in silence": it is one of the meanings of the Sanskrit word "Muni", a new musical project by Nicola Caleffi, multi-instrumentalist and founder of the Italian band Julie's Haircut. The debut album "Soma" (the sacred drink of the Vedic cult) was born from a day of studio improvisation which also involved Laura Storchi, a Julie's Haircut founding member, Claudio Luppi and Pierluigi Lanzillotta, the latter two engaged in various projects including the psych-rock outfit Pip Carter Lighter Maker. As invigorated by the properties of the Soma itself - the nectar that brings health and immortality - our four “cantors” unleash their minds to give life to an initiatory journey in deep communion with nature. From the thrilling Fourth-World plots of "Drinking At The River Of Light", which hides jazz-veins inspired by the Miles Davis of "He Loved Him Madly" and "In A Silent Way", to the psychedelic drifts of "Spirit Animal ”, in which horn players Silvia Orlandini and Paolo Campani also participate playing their winds, Muni manage to make spaces and silences resonate, transforming music into an imaginary landscape. Among ethno-tribal textures, in which the Bruce Palmer of "The Cycle Is Complete" era resounds, mystical psychedelia and sidereal excursions, also the tracks "Presence By The Fire" and "Corona Borealis" follow one other, closing the circle of a pilgrimage that Muni travel between heaven and earth accompanied by three very dear texts, which attended during the studio sessions: the Bhagavadgītā, the zen poem Shodoka by Yoka Daishi and the poems by Dylan Thomas."Soma" was recorded and mixed by Gabriele Riccioni and is published by Backwards Records on 300 vinyl copies. Vultures is a first time pressed EP of the swedish stoner band Dozer. Recorded in 2004-2005 at Rockhouse Studios in Borlänge, these six tracks were used as pre-production demos for what would later become the fourth Dozer album, 2005’s Through the Eyes of Heathens. The album is now released for the first time on vinyl and digipak with a very special bonus track, a cover of the Sunride song Vinegar Fly. Vultures is a real heavy-stoner explosion, something that only Dozer can provide. The amazing artwork is made by Lowrider leader Peder Bergstrand.

Øresund Space Collective (øsc), formed in 2004, is a totally improvising Scandinavian space rock band and has been releasing albums since 2006. The band has played concerts & festivals all over Europe. Their music is quite diverse and influenced by the ever-changing line up in the collective. This album features one 62min track split over 3 LP album sides, recorded in the studio back in 2014. The same session that gave us the 'Different Creatures' and 'Visions Of...' LPs/CDs and features some of the best musicians from the Scandinavian prog rock field. This is about as Prog Rock as the band has ever been with the track taking many different musical journeys over the 3 album sides. Side D (Descent to Reality) of the vinyl contains a full length version (the CD contains an edit) that is a unique mixture of Indian raga and space music with just synthesizer, sitar, violin, bass and drums.

Doctors of Space is a new duo formed by Dr Space (Øresund Space Collective, Black Moon Circle, Aural Hallucinations) and Dr Martin Weaver (Wicked Lady, Dark). The duo, synthesizers & guitars, create a unique mixture of space rock and psychedelic music. The tracks are either created across the internet or at Martin’s home studio, where the group meets once a month to make new music. This is their first full length release. They have already released one 7” (self-release) and a digital only collection on Bandcamp. 'Journey to Encaladus' (see video on Bandcamp) is a heavy rocker with some incidinary guitar work backed up by space drums. Martin programmed the drums and plays the bass as well on this one. 'froth' is a more laid back and spacey track with acoustic guitar. 'Rip Snorter' is something totally different with intense electronics and guitars. 'Into the Oort Cloud' was an amazing space jam that they had. There are two bonus tracks on the CD, one is more laid back & features their friend Hasse on bass & the other is another of the band's favourite jams they have had early 2020.

Directed by John McDermott and produced by Janie Hendrix, George Scott and McDermott, the documentary incorporates never before released original footage and new interviews with firsthand participants and key players such as Billy Cox, Eddie Kramer, Warner Bros. Executives and several Rainbow Bridge cast members, as well as it's director Chuck Wein. The Blu-ray will include the full documentary as well as the 16mm color film shot of the two afternoon performances captured on July 30, 1970 mixed in both stereo and 5.1 surround sound. Black Sabbath Cover Band Rehearsal is a group of Black Sabbath lovers hailing from New York City. The group consists of Brad Truax (interpol), Mick Barr (ocrilim, Krallice), Greg FOX (liturgy. EX Eye), Nick Zinner (yeah Yeah YeahS), and Angel Deradoorian (dirty Projectors, Deradoorian). After a music residency in Berlin where Zinner, Deradoorian, and Fox met up, the first formation of the band was created. Zinner had the idea of bringing the music to NYC (when Truax and Barr joined) where the band received immediate attention and sold out their first concert. It was surprising for everyone, but they just kept on playing, and the people kept on showing up. It's been one of their favorite bands to play in ever. The love of Sabbath has brought so much joy to this group and there's no greater feeling than spreading that joy to fellow fans. Two tracks—"Sweet Leaf" and "Fairies Wear Boots."
