Repress of the Josiah fourth album in new coloured vinyls !!! "Those who’ve experienced Josiah’s groove-heavy swagger know that it’s the guitar of Mat Bethancourt in the starring role, but this trio relies almost as much on the backing rhythms on Procession. Blink and you’ll miss the first two tracks, “Procession” and “Broken Doll,” both of which are under two and a half minutes, but for the other three cuts of studio material (“Thirteen Scene,” highlight “Dying Day” and the more garage rock “Dead Forever”), it’s just as much Beacom and Beasley’s show as it is Bethancourt's. That would be the end if not for the five live tracks from Josiah’s Swedish run in 2007. Four out of the five — “Looking at the Mountain,” “Time to Kill,” “Silas Brainchild” and closer “I Can’t Seem to Find It” — come from the band’s final recorded full-length, No Time, and only “Malpaso,” reaches back further, having first appeared on the 2001 10” Out of the First Rays. Not that we needed it by this time, but these live versions are basically just further confirmation of what underground rock lost with Josiah. The crash-heavy shuffle blues of “Time to Kill” alone are worth whatever they’re asking for Procession." - The Obelisk

Repress of the Josiah sophomore album in new coloured vinyls !!! Josiah melds the sounds of unheralded dropouts Blue Cheer with the nostalgic leanings of Monster Magnet and Kyuss. In fact the lead vocals echo that of Wyndorf, with some bluesy Ron Young moments thrown in. The first three songs show that the band is capable of some killer material – the hard-hitting future classic The Scarlatti Tilt, the backbeat of “Turn It On” and the Beefheart Esque tones to O.B.N. make for guaranteed foot-stompers. “Sweet Time” comes across like Ram Jam‘s “Black Betty” supercharged with simple yet effective song structure. The disc finishes with an appropriately named “Unwind Your Mind”, as I am sure the recording of this album was done in a cloud of smoke. This is a quality release. Heavy Psych and Stoner fans should be all over it. Retro rock with a touch of psychedelic blues, soul and more than enough rock to satisfy metal fans. - Sleaze Roxx

Formed in the late 1960s, the blues rock quartet Katmandu was comprised of four hopefuls on the Miami music scene, namely singer/ke boardist Norman Harris, guitarist Bob Jabo, drummer Kenny Zale, and bassist Bobby Caldwell, who would later score immortal ‘What You Won’t Do For Love’ as a solo singer-songwriter. Having relocated to Las Vegas, the band signed to Mainstream after crossing paths with Little Richard and their resultant self- titled debut holds plenty of appeal, with rocking originals, inspired instrumentals, a soave white soul ballad, and a few well-executed cover tunes to boot. Sixties UK freakbeat legends get a new legit re-release of their complete available recordings and Guerssen is the proud new home for them.
A real cult freakbeat & psychedelic group, well-known for such all-time classics as “Path through the forest” and “Try a little sunshine”, Factory released only a couple of 45s (both of them obscenely rare and paid big$$$ when rarely showing up). Here we get the 4 tracks appearing on these 45s, plus a couple tracks taken from acetates (killer covers of Family’s “Second generation woman” and Fairport Convention’s “Mr. Lacey”), as well as a new mix of “Path through the forest” that includes the original, different psychedelic effects that were supposed to make it to the original release but were dropped out by the MGM label supervisor.
Remastered sound (only beware, “Second generation woman” comes from a destroyed acetate!) and with liner notes by Factory’s producer Brian Carroll.

New reissue of the Stonewall Noise Orchestra legendary album Constants In An Ever Changing Universe with brand new Colored Vinyl by Heavy Psych Sounds. It was quite chaotic putting this album together. It’s recorded in 5 different locations. Rehearsal rooms, a living room, a super professional studio, high and low really. I guess it was quite a challenge for Robert Ekholm to do the mixing. It was also some personal challenges at the time which resulted in John Hermansen doing the vocals. John is an incredible singer and an awesome dude, we’re very thankful he helped us keeping the band rolling. The album was supposed to be released earlier than it was but due to all kinds of stuff out of our control it took some time. In the middle of this chaos was the music, the constant in an ever changing universe. It’s an album we’re proud of and we still play many songs from it live.

The ups and downs of the high- ranking British heavy metal/prog act UFO are many and varied since their formation in London in 1969. The 1992 release High Stakes & Dangerous Men was a return to form that saw founding bassist Pete Way re-connect with lead singer Phil Mogg, this time with Electric Sun drummer Clive Edwards and guitarist Laurence Archer of Phil Lynott’s Grand Slam also in the ranks. Mogg, Way and Archer were a great song-writing team that worked in shades of Southern Rock and blues, drawing from noteworthy acts like Bad Company, the Rolling Stones, and Bob Seger. U.F.O. fans will not be disappointed!

Repress of the self-titled debut album. Their self-titled debut album is an instrumental bluesy heavy rock with no Doom taste. A lot of improvised double guitar solo and a very special groovy rhythm section. The release got a real unexpected awesome response all over the world. All the tracks are 100% original, except the cover of the blues classic "Going Down". "Sonic Flower" were formed as a side project of "Church of Misery" in 2001. Tatsu Mikami (bass) and at that time Church's guitarist Takenori Hoshi (guitar on Church of Misery's 2nd album "The Second Coming"), teamed up to play more bluesy & non Doomy taste instrumental Heavy Rock. They were influenced by famous 70's heavy rock bands like Cactus, Grand Funk Railroad, GROUNDHOGS,SAVOY Brown etc. Soon female guitarist "Arisa" and drummer Keisuke Fukawa joined the band. In 2003, they released the self titled debut album "sonic Flower" on Japanese Heavy rock label "Leafhound Records". All instrumental bluesy heavy rock and improvised doubleguitar, they got a tons of good response from all over the world. They also played some shows as support for some foreign band's Japan appearance like Electric Wizard, Bluebird (Amen's side project), Acid King etc. In 2005 they went to studio for new recordings. At that time the band has some problems and after the recording quit. So this recordings were long years sleeping in the vault. Totally unreleased studio materials. In 2018 Tatsu decided to re-form the band. He has already tons of new songs. This time he teamed up with old Church singer and his old friend. A new album is in progress and will be released in 2021.

Baa Records’ first ever limited remaster and reissue of PHAENDIN วงแผ่นดิน “Five Precepts” in 7” single. Phaendin (“Land”) was a coming-together of musicians from other prominent bands in the Thai phuea chiwit (“songs for life”) folk-song scene. Phaendin “Five Precepts” album was first made & recorded in 1994. In this 7” reissued, we have “Five Precepts ศีลห้า“ — an early 90s Thai funk-rock Pali Chant recorded in 1994 on side 1, and a handpicked blues rock track “Accident อุบัติเหตุ“ on side 2. Both reproduced and remastered first quarter of 2024.

Keep Your Cool' is the third solo album by the Kyuss- and Fu Manchu-legend, originally released back in 2003 with Duna Records. Full of the soul and funky laid-back grooves Brant Bjork is known and loved for, tongue-in-cheek lyrics and sweet guitar licks oozing from the great 70's era vibes, 'Keep YourCool' is still considered as one of Brant Bjork's accessible and catchiest records to date. Tracks such as 'Hey, Monkey Boy', 'Johnny Called' or 'Gonna Make The Scene' became classics in the stoner rock scene, taken from an album that belongs to every well-sorted Brant Bjork record collection. Heavy Psych Sounds is now giving new life to this gem with a brand new cover and coloured vinyls !!

No Love Lost is our favorite track…originally by Joy Division but with a “Angels Hard as they come” approach. This album was as close as we were ever going to get as an “original Lineup”. Johnny DeVilla came back after a hiatus, and Micheal Davis (mc5) joined the band. Recorded at Woody Jackon’s world famous studio located in Nichols canyon Hollywood California. Laurent Bagnard graced us with bad ass photos of the band. Johnny DeVilla’s wife Jamie posed for the album cover on Eric Or’s of the Cretins Motorcycle Club Norton Commando. Our attempt to achieve the sound of the Sonics first album with extra raw drums recorded live In Long Beach Ca. Shawn Medina (bass player) did all the guitar playing aside from Wic Coleman (close friend and honorary member) the solo for “Velvet” on a big box 100watt JMP Marshall and 1968 Burns Bison. Johnny had left the band after co-writing and performing most of the songs on this album.***Action was written with the plans to have Poison Ivy play the lead. It was discussed, but never became a reality. Todd Youth (formerly of Agnostic Front/Warzone/Murphys Law/Danzig) joined the band shortly after.

Beyond Colossal is the fulfillment of the promise 2005’s excellent Through the Eyes of Heathens began to see through. The sound is that of the band pushing itself harder, writing stronger songs and compromising none of their edge or aural passion. You can hear it on “Exoskeleton (Part II),” truncated here from its appearance with “Part I” on a 2007 split with Iceland‘s Brain Police, at the 1:39-mark launching of “The Ventriloquist,” on the more traditionally stoner “Grand Inquisitor” and even the quiet “Bound for Greatness” which closes out the album. Dozer are not only on top of their game, they’re well beyond it.

Formed in New York in 1985, The Optic Nerve were children of Nuggets who dreamed about the Velvet Underground but looked like the Byrds. Their take on '65-66 jangly garage-folk-rock was unrivalled. Lotta Nerve collects their fabulous early 45s plus studio tracks for what should have been their aborted first album. Originally released in 1994 and out of print for many years, here’s a new vinyl edition with new artwork and remastered sound.

Recorded in 1988 but not released until 1993, Forever and a Day was the first full-length album by our favorite NYC jingle-jangle mop-tops, full of mid-60s sounding garagey folk-rock. Out of print for many years, here’s a long overdue vinyl reissue with band-sanctioned new artwork and remastered sound.

The album incorporated the work of several other musicians, including Michael Falzarano, who had joined Hot Tuna at the time. This deluxe package includes an OBI strip, gatefold album jacket, printed inner sleeve, orginial record labels and hazed-gold-and-black-effect color vinyl.
