Originally released privately in 1978 and long sought after by collectors, III is the one and only album by dual guitar-driven Dutch progressive rock quartet Het Pandorra Ensemble, on which they injected a touch of anarchy into their mix of improv and King Crimson influenced prog. In 1973, the flower power era was long gone, progressive music had turned into bombastic symphonic rock, and even Pink Floyd had transmogrified into a middle-of-the-road band. In that year Gert-Jan Blom and Dolf Planteijdt decided it was the right time to form an instrumental guitar band which would build the bridge between the sixties creativity and the punk outburst of the late seventies: Het Pandorra Ensemble. This new band called itself an ensemble because they wanted to fit in with every small venue—art galleries, bars, coffeeshops, etc. Inspired by the music of George Crumb, the impressionist compositions of Ravel, the European folklore pieces of Bartok and the universe of King Crimson and Mahavishnu Orchestra, Het Pandora Ensemble built up a repertoire of written pieces and free improvisation. This 2xLP vinyl reissue expands upon the original release with a full album of extensive unreleased bonus material—all sourced from the original analogue master tapes. Detailed liner notes and unpublished photos complete the package.

Only whispered about by collectors, Sidewalk's sole LP from 1976 was privately issued in a 100 copy run that sellers currently ask towards $10,000 for. Working directly with members of the band, Jackpot Records has lovingly restored the original master tapes to bring this record to private press fans for the first time.

Sidewalk's sound existed somewhere between Steely Dan's relentless jazz-prog shredding, the outdoor festival chug of Chicago and the technical prowess of YES if they backed up a lost 70’s AOR songwriter. At the height of FM Radio rock, Sidewalk combined high-level chops with innovative chord progressions and advanced studio production to create a serious contender in the Cal-Jam festival era. But they tragically disbanded after pressing up this sole LP as the only document of their existence. This LP is pressed on high-quality vinyl and includes original artwork with liner notes written by Doane Perry of Jethro Tull.

Heavy Metal Kid was the last album Coloured Balls recorded during their all too brief three-year existence. It's often overlooked due to the enormous impact and success their preceding album Ball Power had on Australian music. Coming into 1974, they were at the peak of their powers as a group. Ball Power was racing up the charts, they were one of Australia's biggest live draws and they made a triumphant return to the Sunbury festival stage. Heavy Metal Kid was a natural progression for the band that could not be pigeonholed. They were still bringing their unique mix of proto punk, hard rock, blues, space rock, progressive and 50s rock n roll, but they expanded their sonic palette to include even a piano ballad and spaced-out ARP synthesizers. Fun fact- Lobby Loyde, in addition to being an absolutely stunning guitarist, was a classically trained pianist. Each copy comes with both a poster and lyric insert.

This is the first time this album was been released in America. This pressing has been painstakingly sourced directly from the original 1974 quarter inch mix-down master tapes and sounds incredible. This has been an entirely analog production chain and hasn't been touched by a computer at any stage of the process. Hear Coloured Balls as were meant to be heard.

In 1970, famous Spanish duo Manolo y Ramón, known as El Dúo Dinámico since the early 60s, changed musical direction and name and recorded a full album in London in a cool pop-psych style. Using a dream team of session musicians (Jimmy Page, Ian Anderson, Billy Preston…) and arrangers connected to George Martin, the duo laid down 13 tracks of which “Lágrimas Sonrisas” backed with “Adiós, Adiós, Goodbye” were selected for a 45 release. It went unnoticed at the time but now “Lágrimas, Sonrisas” is mod psych anthem, full of powerful vocals, Hammond splashes, female chorus…highly sought after by DJs and collectors, here’s a deluxe legit reissue limited to 500 copies (not to be repressed). Exact Repro OF THE Original With 4 Bonus Tracks. Japanese country rock act Gypsy Blood must be heard to be believed. Released on Vertigo in 1971, their sole LP showed the group simply bursting with talent, Kiyoshi Hayami’s mandolin exceptional and the masterful soft-rock production courtesy of Miki Curtis; drummer Eiichi Tsukasa had earlier been in the Helpful Soul, organist Katsuo Ohno had been in the Spiders, and guitarist/vocalist Hiroaki Nakamura later played in Buzz with future YMO member Yukihiro Takahashi, while none other than Alan Merrill of ‘I Love R‘n’R’ fame completes the picture on piano. A beautiful album, and a very rare beast!

Monster rarity here! An incredible find for anyone into late 60s /early 70s underground hard-psych and blues-rock. A full unreleased album by British hard-blues band SAM Apple PIE, recorded in 1970 possibly as a follow up album to their Decca debut. Taken from the only surviving copy of a recently found acetate (without song titles or credits), all leads to believe this was recorded by the line-up of Sam Sampson, Bob Renny, Andy Johnson, Mick Smith and Mick Stuart. A great mix of heavy blues, hard-rock and psych, with some tracks sounding not unlike Elias Hulk or Fleetwood Mac.

An album made by Kim Chang-wan in place of his two younger brothers who were serving in the military, together with the project ‘Broken Spaceship’ composed of session musicians such as Park Dong-ryul (bass), Yu Ji-yeon (acoustic guitar, harmonica), and Kim Yeong-guk (drums). It is the same work as the beginning of Kim Chang-wan's 'Sanullim Alone', and the energetic rock sound and lyrical folk coexist in harmony. This is the second album released by singer-songwriter Steve Eaton, who had previously been part of the group Fat Chance with Bill LaBounty and gained attention for providing songs to artists such as The Carpenters and Art Garfunkel. Originally released in 1979, this LP has become rare and highly valuable, but P-vine is proud to be the first to release it on vinyl.
