The next release on moreaboutmusic comes from one of Chicago house’s best kept secrets, often name checked by legends such as Mike Dunn, Marshall Jefferson, Glenn Underground and Tyree Cooper to name a few.
A DJ and Producer, Hugo grew up during Chicago’s heyday, at one point living with Mike Dunn and Tyree Cooper, where they would spend their days producing and recording tracks on the 808, 303 and 909, along with any other equipment they could get their hands on.
The ‘On to another time EP’ showcases Hugo’s talents, giving you two straight to the jugular acid tracks with ‘In, Out & In (Part 1)’ and ‘In, Out & In (Part 2)’ with the flip seeing the mood shifting slightly with the deeper vibe of ‘On to another time’, the EP finishes up with a cut up disco joint ‘The beat goes’ creating a solid ep and an excellent introduction to Hugo H.

After starting as a digital label, Chicago based Groove Access Music makes its vinyl debut! Groove Access has multiple releases by label owner and Chicago's own, Ed Nine, and is set to expand with more Chicago artists and others outside of the city. The label's focus is simple; to represent a music culture that just feels right & brings positive dance floor vibes. The debut 12"release "Timeless" also comes from Ed Nine. Ed creates his own unique flavor with each track while simultaneously paying tribute to his city and its diverse house sound. The Chicago-based artist, real name Andres Ordonez, has been a fixture in US house music circles since the '90s, releasing a string of EPs on labels like Sistrum, Semantica and Sound Signature. Theo Parrish's outlet, which last year put out a live mix from Ordonez, will handle his first album.

On “Philadelphia 2099,” a laidback electronic vista evokes the long violet twilight that precedes sunrise on Mars. On “Tharsis Montes,” bubbling synth lines signal the industry of the day ahead, before an infectiously funky bassline is sown on “Seeds,” and alien growth is tended amid shards of interstellar synth sunlight in “Echoes From The Red Valley.”

Now in the rebound: The 1989 originally on Jack Trax released "Do You Wanna Jack/ Lost In The Sound". As bonus track Adonis gave us "My Space". Another outstanding track, he did with Virgo aka Marshall Jefferson! This release is quite unique in this combination - so don't sleep on it! We'll have it on black solid vinyl and also on purple vinyl - it's up to you!

Acidic powerhouse Bill Converse makes his debut on FIT SOUND. His sound is a refreshing perspective informed by the midwest warehouse parties of which he was schooled mutated into his own blend. Treading the line between melody and brutality, while never being heavy handed, Converse has proved himself once again to be a true original lurking in the underground today.

Way back then Home Taping dropped a release by an anonymous act called Klic that turned out to be another moniker for a Medlar production.

Now the imprint re-launch the original alongside a couple of mighty remixes by the Tuff City Kids - in both Acid and Garage modes - plus an extension and rework of the original vibes by Dicky Trisco that pushes the proper Deep House meets Disco button.

All the remixes sit nice and proud alongside the still shining brilliance of the original cut.

Crotocosm is an occasional collaboration between Jordan GCZ (Lushlyfe, Off Minor) and Willie Burns (Black Deer, WT Records). Tracks were recorded together live in Amsterdam and Brooklyn between 1996 and 2017..

The 5th edition of the Dj Skull - Saga is a new release by Ron Maney called "Balance" EP.
It's a classy, original jacking & swinging Chicago House record. Worth to check!

Finally, the long awaited follow up to DJ Duke's house classic "Old Skool Deep Sampler Vol 1, which featured homages to Marshall Jefferson (Jefferson), Fingers Inc (Fingers), Larry Heard (Heard) and Ron Trent (Trent). This follow up E.P. (Vol. 2) features another string of worthwhile homages to the late Frankie Knuckles (Knuckles), Farley Jackmaster Funk (Farley), Chip E (Chip E.xtacy) and Boyd Jarvis (Jarvis).
Duke has always respected the pioneers that created the house/club scene and set the grounds for what's become of the biggest music crazes in the world. For example, Boyd Jarvis used to play live on air with Timmy Regisford on NYC radio station 107.5 WBLS using drum machines for the beats and then play keys on top of it. Duke tried to keep the tracks as close to the feeling of these pioneers, selecting the right drum machines, sounds, and overall vibe, but still keep the tracks fresh and not derivative.

Filthy electro and acid on this new release on Klasse Wrecks' sub-label Zodiac 44! A 'as nasty as it wants to be' four tracker from new producer Ludgate Squatter, the 8th in the labels 12 release only schedule (one for each sign of the Zodiac dummy). ZCANC closely adheres to the labels 'outsider' sound, distorted drums and an atmosphere so dark, demented and paranoid you start to worry a little for the artist after listening to the music. Little is known about Ludgate Squatter and maybe thats for the best, there's an evil genius out there somewhere armed with a broken 707 and he's taking no prisoners. Recommended!!

Intense minimalist industrial acid tekno mantra beats by Albert van Abbe as Datasmok. A 'mini-concept-album' full heavy-hitting, brutal mean-and-lean, 'dirty-brown-and-miserable' psychotic visions. The Datasmok project was kickstarted by default when Guy Tavares and Albert decided to release archived tracks from Van Abbe on Tavares' Bunker Records. All tracks of this second volume of back-catalog material got special treatment in Tavares' subterranean master studio... Datasmok is one half of Penik Ettek.

DEAIK is SJ Tequlla's third record on his own imprint Shot Of T. A solo affair, where the Berlin based Japanese artist keeps on exploring a variation of different sounds on his new 12''. Steps back again in the vibe of '88 second summer of love with the Chicago jackin' sound of 'Good As You', let yourself go and do the trance-dance to the acid groove of 'Addicted' then go further and loose your control with 'Pulsion'.
As you can expect, 'Good As You' EP is released as limited random color vinyl pressing and, as a complete artist's project, its full color sleeve is designed by the A Jackin Phreak's himself.

Gonzo MDF is back on Counterweight with his 3rd Release and he does what he is known for and of course he does it pretty well and reckless. Tested on the crowd of their monthly Counterweight events you can be sure that this EP is a real dancefloor weapon. On the A side Fast Fast a hammering and driving track shows what this artist stands for. The Train is Leaving brings in some break beat drums that will drive any crowd pretty mad. Cerdos on the B side with some really heavy synth lines does it’s job incredibly well while Out of the Box is an ideal track to breathe some fresh air into the middle of any set.

DJ Pierre’s legendary Jack Trax Records returns with a delicious set of raw acid tracks from Finnish producer Type-303, who made his 12” wax debut on Posthuman’s I Love Acid imprint, with a release on Lobster-distributed ProForm this past fall.
“What is the Time?” kicks things off with a jacking beat reminiscent of the classic Chicago acid house sound, answering the question with “it’s time to jack”.
Next up is “Sound of Future”, alluding to Phuture’s classic “Acid Track” with a tough, driven beat and acid line that builds up to a psychedelic frenzy of claps, snares, and rides.
The title track, “Ghost in the 303”, follows suit with more of Type-303’s punchy percussion, interjected by moments of frenzied 16th claps, paired with an eerie, otherworldly pad taking the listener deep into the soul of the machine, the classic TB-303.
Last is “Control”—filled with dreamy yet slightly dissonant pads and a wispy breakbeat-inspired snare line that provides a deep, introspective conclusion to this acid laced journey.

RAWAX joined forces with the great dutch SlapFunk label! The result is a fantastic v.a. ep called "Slap Wax 1" with track by Samuel Deep, Locklead, William Caycedo and Julian Alexander!

Tim returns on home label Offworld Records with a classic 4-track EP of future-focused ethereal techno and electro. A-side opener Dystopia paints a bleak post-apocalyptic image that flows into the uplifting pad-driven 303 cut Enrichment.
