Toby Tobias coming through with the fresh raw s**t for Delusions! Two original tracks here absolutely loaded full of old school analogue machine funk and crazy dub tricknology. It?s Burning builds around a beautiful chiming synth while a filtering acid bass line and 808 snares add a distinct bit of B-Boy to the mix. I Give You love heads for a more rugged house vibe complimenting the intense, loosely timed vocal hits perfectly. On the flip we have London Housing Trust bringing serious heat on their remix, jacking up the tempo but adding some decidedly tripped-out synth tweaks resulting in a show stopping reworking primed for freaking people out on the dancefloor. Finally we have that man Lauer working his magic on It?s Burning, building up the track around some beautifully euphoric synth stabs and bassline. The perfect close to an EP in which it?s very difficult to try and find words to justify. We think Toby Tobias has turned in some of his best ever work here and absolutely love this whole record so really hope you share the same admiration for the release as we do!

Dublin musician and producer Daniel Jacobson aka ZOiD makes his debut on Winthorpe with 4 tracks of intricate melodies over jazz chords powered by eurorack drum modules and tb303 sequencing. The Pin Row Acid EP is the latest release from the Dublin techno-electro stalwart whose roots stretch back to the 90's. Introduced to techno by two DJs who lived in his neighbourhood, he hooked up with the cities legendary D1 label recording tracks in their studio and forming his own label - Diatribe - where he released the his debut 12" -Subinersoll EP. 3 albums and several EP's later he follows up last years release on Dan Curtin's Metamorphic label with the first Winthorpe proper of 23. Kicking off proceedings with the Mc-202 bounce of "2-oh-Techno" a short, snappy and break neck schizoid funky opener followed by the jazz chord progression of "Winthorpe Acrid". The baleriac pads of "Sunrise Acid" kick off the B side with extra grit added for good measure and the EP closes out with the exercise in chord sequencing that is "Megajazz Acidchops", an opus that's been forming in his head for some time.

As winter strikes, the summery SFV Acid reappears fully-fledged with some sluggish San Fernando Valley funk and his signature acidic aesthetics. Mostly slow-burning tracks that meander the boulevards, twitchy due the right dose of acid and vocal jabs scattered across. It's always summer in the valley.

2015, Kenneth Werner aka AS IF has released his first vinyl release with ROHS! - MOMENTS EP. This EP is a pure retro-futuristic Acid-Downtempo vision. Initially it was released on white label 7 inch vinyl of 50 ONLY limited copies. It has been reissued in 2019 with a totally new face/design and on 250 limited copies for the world. This is a pure gold futuristic gem on wax.

Acidic powerhouse Bill Converse makes his debut on FIT SOUND. His sound is a refreshing perspective informed by the midwest warehouse parties of which he was schooled mutated into his own blend. Treading the line between melody and brutality, while never being heavy handed, Converse has proved himself once again to be a true original lurking in the underground today.

Way back then Home Taping dropped a release by an anonymous act called Klic that turned out to be another moniker for a Medlar production.

Now the imprint re-launch the original alongside a couple of mighty remixes by the Tuff City Kids - in both Acid and Garage modes - plus an extension and rework of the original vibes by Dicky Trisco that pushes the proper Deep House meets Disco button.

All the remixes sit nice and proud alongside the still shining brilliance of the original cut.

Another outstanding track, he did with Virgo aka Marshall Jefferson! This release is quite unique in this combination - so don't sleep on it! We'll have it on black solid vinyl and also on purple vinyl - it's up to you!

Hailing from Berlin, but spiritually from Chi-town, Snuff Crew are back in your area with some freshly served up basement goodies once again. Following on from Basement Jams #1, from all the way back in 2011, the boys bring us tracks with the same playful nature as before but, dare I say it, they go even harder this time. Stalwart fans of the first release can stop reading now because it will almost certainly be a blind-buy for you; four tracks obviously engineered for use in the club, whether its the massive kick in ‘What It Is’ or the ravey acid lead in ‘88cents’. The jams on the B-side may do the most damage. ‘Remember’ holds absolutely nothing back, with its arpeggiated bassline lead and crisper than crisp 909 drum programming. Analog is a term that gets bandied about all the time nowadays, ever since so many young producers became enamoured with tape compression and hiss delay plug-ins. I know Snuff Crew are real analog guys though, in sound and mentality, so hearing Basement Jams #2 for the first time had me so excited once again.

DJ Haus goes a little freaky on the Helta Skelta EP. This 4 track ep show his strangely funky side with some odd and jerky rhythms and melodies. It takes it ques from the windy city but doesnt hide DJ Haus's roots in the UK with a bleepy techno twist and pirate radio energy.

Reemerging from the threshold of the cosmic vortex, Black Lodge returns with another sonic artifact that is charged with vigorous chaotic energy, known as Experiment_zero. Accounts of the radiant object's origin are as mysterious as the raw energy that utters from its core. Following a close study, the guardians of the portal suspect that "Experiment Zero" was a primordial experiment rooted in the slam jack pits and DIY warehouse rituals of ages passed. A sonic dialog constructed of various languages, spanning from roots-house jak to bare-knuckled electro are revealed across the artifact - a revolutionary tale that surpasses the constructs of ephemerality, with a refusal to be ignored. Across the release the listener is confronted with fearless acid lines that are underscored by a tone of revolution, and sets the stage for a human voice that switches between modes of a sharp and mutated presence. The power of such sonic objects are both celebrated and rejected by various tribal societies. It is all dependent on the belief structures and traditional histories of its members. Those that belong to the cult of Ron Hardy, Mad Mike Banks, Traxx, and JTC will welcomingly be drenched in its riotous energies. It is for the dedicated, not the light-hearted. After further research it has been discovered that, Experiment Zero is the product of Dona, aka Dj Plant Texture and Mike Tansella Jr. of Son of Traders, both products of the ancient mercantile city of Bari in Southern Italy. Previous works from these artists have been featured on Creme Organization, Gravitational Waves, Unknown to Unknown, and Illian Tapes. All sonic experimentation was recorded in one take to capture the raw energy of instantaneous collaborative sound craft operating in flux. Calling all blowhards, cosmic-jesters and techno-goons:Bintus is back at the juggernaut’s wheel, belching flames and generally causing a right old stink. After a five-year hiatus adrift in the fusion zone the angry behemoth returns to bring the pain. Grinding his gears hard on this toxic two-tracker, old man Bintus throws down a barbaric acid gauntlet; guaranteed to satiate the inner panel beater in even the most battle-hardened rave warrior.

In true Power Vac tradition Bintus bows out with a brace of scree-face electro grinds. "Rag It!" gets medieval on your ass then quits the scene in a wheel spin of cosmic dust; leaving your brain to cessate in rapturous turmoil. Millennium Speaker Stand slaps a gutsy acid line against a pock-marked 7/8 beat, while in the background the fabric of society breaks down - a not unwelcome aural distraction in these turbid times.

So, enjoy one last night ride thru babylon with Thee Prince of The Retail Park. As the tyre smoke recedes we are left in a haze of joy, sensory disorientation and the hope that visionary lunatics like Bintus will continue to rescue our souls from the stasis grip of consensus reality that threatens to consume us all.

I mean, ''Mein Selbstmord! Im Monschein hinter dem Baum!'', now, what psychotic poetry of Goethean-Nietzschean 'Faustian' 'Sturm und Drang Tragoedie' and Romantic Mass-Industrial 'Todestrieb' Mantra is that? 'Das Ewig Weibliche (oder gibt's vielleicht auch Das Ewig Maennliche?) des alten Werthers Leiden in Teutobuerger Schwarz-und-buchenwaldklinik?' For this dark synth-guided croonin' could have turned into the ultimate 'Alan Vega Suicide' Project of the Soviet Bloc, its bloody very last Collective Act! Mastered by Guy Tavares.

A soundtrack about a day in an imaginary city called Madrid in 1979 where kids took Opel Kaddetts to drive by in neighbourhoods like Ciudad Lineal/Ventas/San Blas. A science fiction version of the town where people listened to acid electro as well as music by flamenco rock artists of the Cano Roto Sound. And where the city and its inhabitants ressembled the comics in Metal Hurlant magazine.

Heavyweight 12" just in time to soundtrack the demise of humanity. No internet-ready 'deep' home listening tracks but a continuation of the previous 12"s. Big nods to the past, but then again it somehow seems fitting that our demise is founded on the relics of the past. For those who like to get wild or die trying!

Trackmaster Dre ode to the traditional squelching acid melting listful old school beats with Grandmaster Acid. The record contains decelerated beats married with laidback, thick and bubbly bass. The title track starts off as a raw and elastic dance floor mover, with a chamfer like 303 bassline that smooths out rougher edges. Blockhead Deuce is a simplistic track with shuffling drums that play with an impish bassline that squawks and squelches. Old school viscid synths and bass keep an aloof feel with the progression in 4th.

First V/A on Winthorpe is a 4 track EP featuring Lee Kelly (Tasetful Nudes, First Second Label) plus newcomer Ngoni backed with Crispy Jason (Solar Bears) and Splitradix.

Gonzo MDF is back on Counterweight with his 3rd Release and he does what he is known for and of course he does it pretty well and reckless. Tested on the crowd of their monthly Counterweight events you can be sure that this EP is a real dancefloor weapon. On the A side Fast Fast a hammering and driving track shows what this artist stands for. The Train is Leaving brings in some break beat drums that will drive any crowd pretty mad. Cerdos on the B side with some really heavy synth lines does it’s job incredibly well while Out of the Box is an ideal track to breathe some fresh air into the middle of any set.

Anyone who followed the development of house music made in the usa in the last decade will certainly have met the art of Fred Peterkin aka Fred P aka Black Jazz Consortium.

His musical set phrase isn't following new trends. Fred is often simply melting shuffling percussions with elementary melodies. but he does it in a sense that the heavy used and abused phrase "deepness" finally gets a fresh truthfully new meaning.

This new project is directed by Miho in collaboration with Robert Drewek, the owner of respected label RAWAX. It is a special edition ”RAWAX - AIRA EP vinyl series".

Concept and mission will always be, to connect and invite great musicians who produce and create "essence of the real music”, not following the trend but let the music speak itself with groove, melody, vibe, energy and soul....

Roland has made evolution in dance music all over the world in 80's, Music needed those machines, and machines needed those creators of music. On the 25th release of their label Restoration (after 15 years of its foundation), the original trippy “Someone Else” comes with a mesmerising chicagoic heavy shuffled remix by dj Fett Burger. On the B side, the sophisticated beats and the classy arpeggios layered over the gloomy “Amazon Crime” comes together with the first track produced by Francesco del Garda and The Analogue Cops’; “Good Breath” (edited by Del Garda) is the state of the art of years spent behind the decks looking for the perfect combination of garage bass lines, eccentric beats and esoteric pads.

Dekmantel regular Matrixxman returns with the third, and final instalment in the Sector series, Part III: Polyphony. In this triptych, the producer from San Fransisco sets out to highlight the key components behind the sounds and style of techno, exploring the range within the confines of a particular limitation. Following Parts I and II, which looked at Rhythm, and Acid, Charles McCloud Duff charters the realm of Polyphony with four, meticulously produced techno tracks, expanding his repertoire of cult, dancefloor music.
Polyphony refers to the simultaneous combining of many notes in a musical sequence. In electronic music, this specifically refers to the role of the synthesiser - such as the Minimoog, ARP Odyssey, which can produce different pitches simultaneously. Polyphony has been an integral characteristic of the genre’s sound for over a quarter of a century, and can be heard in many key records, living a the sonic forefront of these four tracks.
”Sector Series: III Polyphony” provides an exercise in melody and polyphony. Throughout the EP, swaggering rhythms are inter-washed with a sea of multi-melodious, reverberated notation. ‘Initiation’ resonates with the grandiosity, and harsh claustrophobia of early Underground Resistance. ‘Access Granted’, drives hard with pulsing effects, with a dystopic, rhythmic cacophony of euphony. ‘Desert Planet’ plays around with a differing tempo, imagining a more fantastical vision of music, echoing back to earlier Plastikman productions, using a vast sonic spectrum to conjure up a colour palette of alien imagery. ‘Horizon’ rounds things off; a track that builds on minimalism with a progressive composition, allowing the polyphonics to drive the track, harnessing the adept production qualities that Matrixxman has come to be recognised for.

SPF 50, real name Stephan Kimbel Olson, has graced New York’s finest sound systems with his deep, rolling club sets. In his numerous roles – DJ, engineer, party promoter, label head, producer and dancer – Stephan has become an essential contributor to New York’s nightlife culture, a fixture in the city’s extended sonic community. On Social Life, his first release with NY label Bliss Point, Stephan has channeled two booming club workouts, each with modular synthesis evoking the organic: an unruly bassline snakes through the aural fauna of “Body Concept”, while breaks and acid fly by on “Liquid Usb”, an intricate sonic constellation propelling through space, culminating in the release of classic house chords midway. On the B side, Stephan takes us deeper into the unknown. “Grove Map” is world-building club ambiance aptly named after The Grove, a stage deep in the woods at New York’s Sustain-Release festival, where portals have long been known to be opened. “Iris (Bad Water Version)”, rounds out the offering, a drippy dub that time seems to slip off of, perfect for a melted warm up or come down.

Part 2 of this amazing double EP. When acid madness meets perfectionism and unbelievable depth then we all know Boston 168 cant be far away. They are an integral part of the ODD Even label and long-time friends of Andre Kronert and now finally back with a fabulous release. As in the good old days, they know how to combine harmony and punch. Get ready for it! No more word! Just Listen!
