EG Chambord Bride

Basically, the EG Chambord Bride by Paraboot and Engineered Garments is a classic men's shoe with a derby vamp, if it weren't for the leather strap running across the instep with a polished 1-pin buckle. This detail and the slightly raised U-shaped seam at the front of the upper turn this Paraboot shoe into a stylish hybrid design, which, like some styles from this brand, is fitted with a Norwegian-stitched Goodyear rubber sole that has been made suitable for outdoor use thanks to its rough tread.

Norwegian stitching was developed mainly for mountain and work boots, and the principle can be described as follows: The shaft is sewn to the sole by a welt. Two seams are visible: the so-called Norwegian seam, which connects the frame with the upper and the first stitch, while a seam created by small stitches connects the frame with the sole. However, it's also possible to do it without a frame - in this particular case, both threads are sewn directly on the leather of the underside of the upper. The advantages of the Norwegian seam are the rock-solid and flexible assembly technique, which makes the shoe waterproof and resoleable. From a technical standpoint, the advantages of Norwegian stitching are comparable to those of Goodyear stitching.

Paraboot insoles, heels and soles are still manufactured and vulcanized with the same composition as in the past. As a result, the rubber achieves the best material and mechanical properties in terms of comfort, adaptability and wear resistance. Paraboot's rubber compounds come from France and are vulcanized on their own presses in the company's workshop in Saint Jean de Moirans.

Paraboot x Engineered Garments EG Chambord Bride - features:

• upper: semi-gloss leather, pressed with the help of a smooth hot plate
• leather lining
• Norwegian stitching
• homemade vulcanized rubber sole
• handmade in France
• re-sole option: Goodyear and the Norwegian style offer the option of re-soling
• made in France

The London Methow from the Filson x Birkenstock collection combines the high-quality craftsmanship and innovative design of two renowned brands in a distinctive shoe. This collaboration is part of Birkenstock's exclusive 1774 line, which celebrates creative partnerships with like-minded brands and focuses on quality and traditional manufacturing techniques. All components of the London Methow have been manufactured in the EU, which underlines the high quality of materials and workmanship.

The upper of the Filson x Birkenstock London Methow is made from a combination of unlined suede, known for its soft, comfortable feel, and sturdy, oiled nubuck leather. This choice of materials combines the iconic textures of Birkenstock and gives the shoe a rustic yet sophisticated look. Particularly striking are the raised moccasin stitching, which not only gives the shoe a handcrafted look but also a structured and distinctive look. Thanks to the unlined design, the shoe remains light and comfortable, perfect for everyday use or for longer periods of wear.

The anatomically shaped cork-latex footbed, one of Birkenstock's signature features, offers optimal support and cushioning for the foot. This footbed ensures even weight distribution and adapts to the individual shape of the foot over time, making it particularly comfortable to wear. The cover of the footbed is made of classic dark Birkenstock suede, known for its durability and high level of comfort.

Another highlight of the Filson x Birkenstock London Methow is the new hardware, which was specially designed for this collaboration. The antique brass ring buckle gives the shoe a rustic, timeless look while ensuring easy adjustability and a perfect fit. This small but subtle change reflects the attention to detail that Filson and Birkenstock have incorporated into their collaboration.

The innovative rubber cork outsole provides additional comfort and flexibility. This not only offers excellent cushioning, but also a high degree of flexibility, making the shoe particularly comfortable to wear, whether in everyday life or when traveling. The combination of rubber and cork also ensures durability and excellent traction on a variety of surfaces.

All in all, the London Methow from the Filson x Birkenstock collection combines the best of both brands: the proven comfort and anatomical excellence of Birkenstock with the sturdy and functional aesthetics of Filson. This shoe is perfect for anyone who values quality, durability and stylish design and is looking for a timeless shoe that is suitable for both outdoor adventures and everyday urban life.

The very lightweight Paraboot Thiers is an original design from the 1960s and is now back in the spotlight, thanks to some celebs who have given it a new lease of life. The features of the Paraboot Thiers include the derby lace insert with bead, the 4-eye lacing and the fact that it's Blake-stitched with the rubber sole - which means the upper's sewn directly to the sole with a stitch-through seam, making the shoe softer and more supple. Blake-stitched styles are lightweight and pliable, especially when the soles are rubber. Plus, the Paraboot Thiers looks more elegant than with a Goodyear stitching.

Because certain skills are no longer mastered in France, Paraboot had the Thiers produced in Spain. In doing so, Paraboot contracted a long-time Spanish partner that delivers quality just as reliable as they know from their own manufacturing. As a tradition-conscious country, Spain has been able to preserve proven manufacturing techniques and its generally recognized knowledge of the patina or genuine moccasin seam. Moreover, in Spain you can still find machine parks that offer much more options regarding production than France.

Paraboot Thiers - features:

• upper: even leather, pressed with the help of a smooth hot plate
• leather lining
• metal eyelets at 4-eye lacing
• abrasion-resistant rubber sole
• made in Spain

The Paraboot Malo is a classic casual design that combines the significant elements of a moccasin with the nonchalance of a boat shoe. This Paraboot shoe is a timeless companion that stands out for its versatility and excellent craftsmanship. With its clean lines and high-quality leather, the Paraboot Malo offers the perfect balance between comfort and style, ideal for leisure and upscale casual looks.

The craftsmanship technique used to make the Malo is heavily inspired by the traditional Blake welt construction originally used for American Indian loafers. Paraboot has been perfecting this construction method since the late 1960s, ensuring a durable and flexible design. This stitching technique not only gives the shoe exceptional stability, but also makes it flexible and comfortable to wear.

The Paraboot Malo is made in Spain, with particular attention paid to the choice of materials. The upper material is made of fine premium smooth suede, which not only impresses with its durability but also offers an elegant look. The suede is hand-sewn, which gives the shoes a handcrafted touch and at the same time underlines their sturdy nature.

The traditional fit of the Malo, with its slightly rounded toe, ensures a classic look that can be combined in many ways. The shoe is lined with leather, which ensures a comfortable fit and a sophisticated feel. The footbed, which is also covered with leather, provides additional cushioning and optimal support for the foot.

Another outstanding feature of the Paraboot Malo is the natural rubber sole, which ensures flexibility and traction. This sole complements the elegant design of the shoe, making it a functional everyday companion. Thanks to the combination of high-quality materials and traditional craftsmanship, the Malo not only guarantees a stylish appearance, but also durability and comfort.

All in all, the Malo by Paraboot combines traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design. It is the perfect shoe for those who value quality, comfort and stylish elegance without sacrificing functionality.

Established in 1876 by George Henry Bass, G.H. Bass & Co. strived for perfection from the beginning: The company's humble goal was to create simply the best shoe human hands could produce. The year 1936 marked a milestone in G.H. Bass & Co. history as the brand's designers created the legendary Weejun by putting a signature twist on farm shoes out of Norway. This iconic footwear item was designed for simply loafing the field, so it could be entitled the world's first penny loafer. For the last 80 years, G.H. Bass & Co.'s Weejuns cemented their place in fashion history books - these super-stylish casual shoes have been the item of their choice by opinion leaders as well as game-changing musicians and artists. The G.H. Bass & Co. Weejuns are still made from best quality leathers while hand-stitching and comfortable soles add an appropriate finish. Too bad the one and only king of pop passed away so he cannot be asked about it, but some people are sure the moonwalk couldn’t be done the way it was done without Weejuns.

The G.H. Bass & Co. Weejuns are still made from best quality leathers while hand-stitching and comfortable soles add an appropriate finish. Too bad the one and only king of pop passed away so he cannot be asked about it, but some people are sure the moonwalk couldn’t be done the way it was done without Weejuns.

Inspired by the birth of Michel Richard-Pontverts in 1945, the Paraboot Michael is a legendary casual design developed by the second generation of the Richard-Pontvert company. Proven worldwide, the model has traversed the ages, adapting to all generations and all styles. Significant details of the elegant Paraboot Michael are the derby leaf insert with beaded stitching, the short two-hole lacing and the Norwegian stitched rubber sole.

Paraboot Michael - features:

• upper: even leather, pressed with the help of a smooth hot plate
• leather lining
• Norwegian stitching
• homemade vulcanized rubber sole
• handmade in France
• re-sole option: Goodyear and the Norwegian style offer the option of re-soling

Established in 1876 by George Henry Bass, G.H. Bass & Co. strived for perfection from the beginning: The company's humble goal was to create simply the best shoe human hands could produce. The Paraboot Coraux is Blake-stitched, a traditional technique also known as sewn-through stitching. In 1858, the shoemaker Leeman Reed Blake, a young employee of the sewing machine company Singer, invented this technique, which gives the shoe more suppleness and lightness.

With Blake stitching, the upper is sewn directly to the sole. Blake-stitched designs are lightweight and flexible, especially if the soles are made of rubber. Visually, the shoe is more elegant than those with a Goodyear seam. From a technical point of view, however, it is not as durable and more permeable than Norwegian or Goodyear-stitched shoes.

Paraboot insoles, heels and soles are still produced and vulcanized with the same composition as in the past. Therefore, the rubber achieves the best material and mechanical properties in terms of comfort, adaptability and wear resistance. Paraboot's rubber compounds originate in France and are vulcanized in the company's own factory in Saint Jean de Moirans on its own presses.

Certain skills are no longer mastered in France. In order to be able to continue offering the Coraux, Paraboot has entrusted its production to a long-standing Spanish partner who delivers reliable quality. As a country steeped in tradition, Spain has been able to preserve proven manufacturing techniques and its generally recognized knowledge of the patina or genuine moccasin seam.

Paraboot Coraux - Features:

• premium leather upper
• leather lining
• Blake stitching
• homemade vulcanized rubber sole

TPU and Vibram rubber protect the toe area as well as other high-wear areas.
