The Azuma knitting machine was one of the first knitting machines in the 1970s, when the company changed from a hanging knitting machine to a high-speed knitting machine, and is now a very rare and valuable piece of equipment, of which only a few examples still exist. Furthermore, the knitting speed is extremely slow, and it is a low productivity knitting machine that can only knit about one to two warp yarns per day with such a machine. Due to the slow speed, an exceptionally soft, full fabric is achieved.
