When the Forum was introduced by adidas in 1983, it was considered to be the most technical basketball shoe of its time, because the added heel cup and the hook and loop fastener resulted in best ankle protection. Now, more than a quarter-century later, the adidas Forum is still one of the most wanted retro shoes of the early 80s.

Introduced in 1989, the Reebok BB 4000 II picks up the clean 80s aesthetics of the basketball courts. This b-ball low-top is equipped with simple lines, sturdy leather upper as well as comfy terry cloth lining plus minimum overlays. While the design is reminiscent of Reebok's retro tennis kicks, the construction is slightly tougher, and the signature labels at the side are diagonal, thanks to the modified overlays.
