Necrodeath is one of the most important and outrageous names in extreme metal; formed back in 1984, it is one of the first extreme metal bands originating in Italy. They take inspiration from Slayer, Dark Angel, Possessed, Venom, Kreator, Bathory, Celtic Frost and Sodom. Physically and mentally draining in the best way possible, Wet Will Always Dry is maybe the most complete statement from Blawan to date, and as such should be ignored at your peril. This becomes evident from the album-opening “Klade,” a dizzying, tumbling flight of pure energy over overlapping fields of electrified menace. This sets the stage for “Careless,” which retains the hazardous, crackling atmosphere but dials back the intensity just enough to make room for a new feature, Blawan’s eerie and disembodied vocals.
“Tasser” ratchets up the tempo and the frenetic energy yet more, slinging chunks of audio shrapnel and grinding factory noise over the kick-heavy beat, only letting up the tension every now and then for a convulsive breakdown. By the arrival of “Vented,” a more steady, cycling groove has set in along with the accompaniment of suspenseful melodic swells, but the element of surprise is far from gone: there still seem to be spectral entities lurking around every corner, and there’s no shortage of intriguing tumbril weirdness blowing around the imaginary streets that this track conjures up.
The slamming “North” keeps alive the record’s persistent, darkly humorous feeling that things are about to go off the rails at any moment, using wildly contorted sequences and granular debris to shift between total abandon and regimented strictness. A moment of relative calmness, along with the return of the atmospheric vocals, comes about with “Stell,” a faintly dubby track that leaves an impression like watching streams of traffic progress underneath rolling, deep grey clouds.
“Kalosi” brings back the percussive motif of “Tasser” and “North,” this time partnering it with loops that bring to mind radioactive bass strings. “Nims” then shuts things down with infectious harp-like sequences, fuzz-shrouded percussion and an ‘everything but the kitchen sink’ mentality towards filtering and processes which will get the attention of all but the most jaded soundhead.

Fifteen of the 19 tracks contained in Endless Poetry: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack were composed and performed by Alejandro's son Adan Jodorowsky (AKA Adanowsky), who also stars in the film, portraying his own father as a young man. Multi-instrumentalist composer/arranger Jon Handelsman contributed four songs to the soundtrack. "Sueño sin fin" was composed and arranged by both Handelsman and Alejandro Jodorowsky (the filmmaker's own contribution to Endless Poetry: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack). Described by Variety as "a work of disciplined and touching emotional resonance," Endless Poetry details Alejandro Jodorowsky's life in his 20s. Against the wishes of his authoritarian father, the protagonist leaves home to pursue his dream of becoming a poet, and is introduced to the bohemian and artistic inner circle of Santiago, Chile in the 1940s and 50s. He meets Enrique Lihn (Leandro Taub) and Stella Diaz (Pamela Flores), two unknown poets who would become driving forces of twentieth century Hispanic literature. Told through a unique surreal and psychedelic visual language, with a soundtrack to match, Endless Poetry is an ode to the quest for beauty and inner truth as a universal force capable of changing one's life forever.

Bye Bye is a three track offering from Philadelphia based sextet Blood, that rarely stays put in one style for long. All three songs - first single Money Worries, Luck and Borstal Field - were recorded by the band throughout the pandemic providing a uniting force whilst touring remained impossible. The tracks are a testament to the unforgiving and rewarding process of self-recording. The band found great relief in finally having the time to flesh out an experimental atmosphere without the constraint of paid studio time. Blood is proud of the work they've made, but it is imperative to mention that all three tracks were brought to life in a way not formerly thought possible by the mixing brilliance of Nancy Conforti. First single "Money Worries" finds Blood slingshotted over an open letter to their landlord. What starts as a clear threat to an obvious albeit deserving villain, soon caves into an acoustic respite, in which the nightmare of financial ruin becomes lullaby.

After appearing on the label's recent 'Federation of Rytm II' release alongside some of the industry's most iconic artists, Steve Redhead is back on Mutual Rytm, taking over the label from Shdw & Obscure Shape with a 6-track solo EP delivering driving, furious and old-school influenced techno.

The eleventh installment of Mutual Rytm opens with the rolling grooves and choppy vocals of 'Blokhut', which flows smoothly into the highly effective drums and strings of 'Sea Choy', while 'Bruusk' closes the first side of the vinyl with a hypnotic, well-crafted 90s influenced techno anthem. On the flip side, the title track 'Eastbook Isle' is all about its rolling bassline, retro/electro influences and a mesmerizing melody, while on the B2 'Planet Phatt' closes the record perfectly with a classic old-school sounding cut, made to be the last track of the set or those early morning moments. Finally, the 300.000 V.K. project's album, DER Sturm, has seen the light of day. The material for it was initially compiled around 2010, but the recordings were lost and then sporadically leaked out in various forms over the next ten years, until two years ago when a full album was assembled from the fragments. The release was then further delayed by the Covid epidemic and, additionally, for a further year by vinyl pressing delays. The album is now here at last, more or less in its original form, also with the design, conceived over a decade ago.

DER Sturm is a metaphysical album of techno-electronic provenance, with themes that draw on planetary, atmospheric, cosmic, interstellar communication and the journey of radio waves, yet it also features tracks such as Grozny and Exodus, which directly touch on more Earthly themes (war and refugees).

300,000 V.K. or Dreihunderttausend verschiedene Krawalle (Three Hundred Thousand Various Uproars) is a project originally established in 1982 as a more experimental offshoot of the Laibach Kunst music section, defined in Laibach's founding manifesto (10 Items of the Covenant) as a 'retrospective futuristic negative utopia'. The original members and founders of the project were Dejan Knez and Tomaž Hostnik. Later this Laibach 'sub-group' was joined by Iztok Turk and Peter Mlakar, and the first album - 'Peter Paracelsus' - was only released on Nika + Ropot Records in 1994.

In terms of authorship, DER Sturm is a solo project, formally signed by Baron Reichenbach, A. D. Knez and Elk Eber. It is one and the same person, but mentally split and multiplied. Dejan Knez, who is also a co-founder of Laibach, experienced a lightning strike in 1987 and with it a kind of cosmic enlightenment, which unfortunately also resulted in a deepening bipolar disorder, which led to personality stratification and occasional episodes of manic depression. His cooperation with the parent group Laibach therefore became rather disturbed and limited after 1987, and since 2006 it was almost completely interrupted, however he remained a respected member of the group on the symbolic level. In the meantime, he devoted himself more to work on the 300,000 V.K. missiles.

REMASTERED BY STEVE ALBINI AND BOB WESTON AT CHICAGO MASTERING!Big Black was started by Steve Albini in 1982 while he was attending Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. Lungs, the first Big Black release was recorded by Steve on a borrowed 4-track. He played everything on the EP himself - except the sax bleating courtesy of pal John Bohnen and the drums courtesy of Roland. Soon after, Steve recruited Jeff Pezzati (Naked Raygun) on bass, and Santiago Durango (also Naked Raygun) joined them on guitar. In 1983, together with live drummer Pat Byrne, they recorded the Bulldozer EP. By 1984, the band had done some touring and recorded the Racer X EP and the start of the Il Duce 7". After that, Jeff returned to Naked Raygun and was replaced by Dave Riley. In 1985, Big Black recorded their first full-length, Atomizer, as well as finishing the Il Duce 7". Atomizer was released in 1986 along with the release of the Hammer Party compilation CD. In 1987, the Headache EP and Heartbeat 7" were released. That same year, the band recorded and released the 7" of The Model/He's A Whore as well as their second full-length album, Songs About Fucking. They toured extensively (for Big Black). "We almost thought: it could turn out well". L'APPEL DU VIDE from Chemnitz/Germany worked two nerve-wracking years on their Debut-EP. Now their "Abwärtsspirale" (downward spiral) is set into motion. They describe their sound as "Dark Punk" , but that's just scratching the surface. The spectrum reaches from aggressive-gloomy Surf Punk ("Das bin ich nicht" / that's not me) to brittle, repetitive and noisy ("Aufmerksamkeit" / attention) and hymnical-melodic Post Punk ("Delirium"). "Das Programm" (the program), a bittersweet romance in times of total surveillance, is unusual calm and melancholic thanks to an 60ies-organ and background vocals from Mara. In their lyrics L'APPEL DU VIDE use sparse words and deal with denial, failure and alienation. "Delirium" could be a soundtrack to the global pandemic, but was written in 2019. The songs were recorded by Flatty. Refinement came from Max Herrmann/Gloven Studio Leipzig (Mix) and Mikey Young (Mastering).
