Tindersticks are an English alternative rock band led by the
singer Stuart A. Staples. They recorded several albums which
became popular years after their release. One of them is the
slightly bright but still dark coloured Curtains. The songs on
the album develops themselves into intimidate and destructive
pearls. Stuart and Co created some melancholic melodies
questioning on privacy issues and the feelings of lost. The
warmer tones can be found in the vocal parts and putting away
some of the depressive moods from their first albums.
Tindersticks recorded eleven albums to date and recorded
songs for which Stuart A. Staples wrote lyrics based on his own
life and that of people surrounding him.
This expanded edition contains the 15 original album songs
plus 9 bonus tracks with, among others, “Paco’s Theme”, “A
Marriage Made In Heaven” (duet with Isabella Rossellini) and
“Rented Rooms”.

Roine Stolt (The Flower Kings (tfk), Transatlantic, Agents of Mercy and Kaipa is a Swedish guitarist, singer and composer and is an important figure in Swedish rock history. He led two of his country's most successful progressive rock bands: Kaipa in the 1970s and The Flower Kings in the 1990s to the present. Called Roine Stolt's The Flower King, "Manifesto Of An Alchemist" offers ten songs and nearly seventy minutes of playing time in the style Stolt is best known for: progressive rock, lavishly orchestrated with all the trademark elements of four decades of prog. ‘The circle is round; where the adventure started in 1994 with “The Flower King” there is now finally a worthy successor, albeit almost twenty-five years later and many personnel changes later. Norwegian alternative folk band Gåte concludes an acoustic era with their new full-length album Nord. “While working on Nord we had to figure out how to find strength in the small things,” vocalist Gunnhild Sundli comments. “It was a challenging task as Gåte is usually about how to make things big.” Gåte has always been about making everything big! The full live production, the exuberant live performances, an exaggeration of almost everything. As such you could say that Nord is a Gåte backwards. Focusing on the simple details with an acoustic take, meant for smaller crowds and acoustic performances. “We learned a lot writing and performing the songs on Nord. About how we work with and towards music, but also about ourselves as a band” Gunnhild says. “Nord has mapped out the very essence of Gåte´s DNA, and it has opened up new paths and made us stronger and braver.” On Nord the band has really taken a step back to fully explore their musical potential and expression through a more traditional and acoustic perspective.
