The 2M Series is developed in conjunction with the Danish Industrial designer Møller Jensen Design – the same designer who designed the award winning MC Jubilee and Kontrapunkt series. Inspired by the facets of a diamond, whose contours gracefully trace the grooves on a record’s surface, the 2M’s handsome elegance establishes a great combination of form and functionality.

The name 2M was selected from among several ideas. We wanted a modern name that would be easy to pronounce and remember, and therefore an alphanumerical name was chosen. 2M means MM, which is the abbreviation for moving magnet.

Of course the 2M isn’t just another pretty face. It has been engineered to the highest standards and is congruent with Ortofon’s unrelenting commitment to providing the most precise and accurate reproduction possible without coloration.

The 2M series of cartridges features Ortofon’s trademark split pole pins, an invention that enables moving magnet cartridges to have a flat frequency response, as with a moving coil cartridge. Split pole pins were invented by Ortofon, and were originally presented in the 500 series and Super OM series.

We have optimized the design for ease of mounting the cartridge, and the weight and size to fit the most common turntables on the market today. The 2M Series provides excellent compatibility when used in an assortment of playback systems and with a wide variety of phono preamps.

January 1969 – The Beatles planned to return to live performance, setting up in Twickenham Film Studios, London, for 21 days of rehearsals. All of this was filmed for a proposed documentary (eventually released in 1970). During the rehearsal process, they asked Glyn Johns, who had been hired to help with the live sound, to attempt a mix to create an album. This was never released, becoming known as one of the great ‘lost’ albums in rock history and is now included in this Super Deluxe Set. The album was delayed further and in fact became their 12th and final official album release on 8th May 1970 following additional production by American producer Phil Spector.

We, at UDG have further fined-tuned already a great design concept of our flight case into one specially for the most discerning DJ/producer. Constructed from solid 9mm thick plywood, the outside is laminated in a black finished honeycomb/hexagonal “Stage Grip” pattern. The inner sides are protected with high density diamond embossed EVA foam protective padding. This extremely robust padding protects the equipment against scratches, dust or other damages, creating a unique stylish & practical finish.

The Athens by Paraboot is a new rendition of the Adriatic mule and has been equipped with a welded sports sole, also known as a "wedge and cramp" sole. The upper is glued directly onto the sole. Advanced assembly processes make it possible to produce lighter and visually sleeker shoes. Together with a suede upper, this results in a very soft and comfortable sandal.

Paraboot insoles, heels and soles are still produced and vulcanized with the same composition as in the past. Therefore, the rubber achieves the best material and mechanical properties in terms of comfort, adaptability and wear resistance. Paraboot's rubber compounds originate in France and are vulcanized in the company's own factory in Saint Jean de Moirans on its own presses.
