Along the years, Vimur evolved into a full live-performing band, releasing three studio full-length albums, one EP and one live record. 2024 marks thecollaboration between the Georgia-based band with long-standing Italian label Avantgarde Music to release the band’s fourth album, The TimelessEverpresent.We asked the band to introduce the album in their own words. Thrasher is the soundtrack to a virtual reality video game about a creature that has a life cycle that traverses different psychedelic realities. Thrasher was composed and performed by Brian Gibson, bassist of Lightning Bolt. It is the follow up to the acclaimed best-selling game and soundtrack Thumper. Mal, also known as “Mal of the Primitives”, pseudonym of Paul Bradley Couling (Llanfrechfa, 27 February 1944), is a British singer and actor who obtained Italian citizenship in 1989.After his first steps in Great Britain, it was in Italy that he found great success. At the end of 1965 he was one of the leading artists at the “Piper” in Rome, the most trendy venue in those years for Italian beat.After countless successful records (even in the world of childhood, thanks to the theme song of the TV series "Furia") and after many Sanremo festivals (the most important Italian musical TV show), as a sign of gratitude for the origins of his success in 2019 Mal released the album "Grazie Piper! (Thank you piper!)", accompanied by a video clip shot entirely inside the historic Roman venue.Now, five years after his last release, on the occasion of his 80th birthday, Mal has decided to treat himself to a book and a brand new vinyl, with the prophetic title: "I'm Still Singing"

Ad Patres, the French death metal band hailing from Bordeaux, has marked nearly two decades of existence. In 2010, the band released their first promo EP, featuring three intense and brutal tracks that drew inspiration from death metal giants like Morbid Angel and Suffocation. The EP laid the foundation for their unique sound, blending classic death metal standards with modern influences. After its first full-length offspring "Scorn Aesthetics" in 2012, the band quickly gained recognition for their brutal and uncompromising approach to death metal. This record is the first complete collaboration between Lefteris Volanis and Dimitris Pagidas who along with Vasilis Dokakis have formed the trio No Clear Mind over the past 15 years.

“Outside the long walls” is a musical creation whose canvas is filled primarily with a mix of electronic and guitar, organic synthesizer sound, saxophone, electric pianos bound together with drums and percussion, xylophone along with intervening soundscapes. There is a deeply melodic work with a strict sonic and timbre aesthetics that reference the new wave and post-punk outsiders, folk, progressive, space rock and world music for the past decade interspersed with tributes to the soundtracks of the 60s and 70s European cinema.

The band use both Greek and English lyrics interchangeably since the vocals are simply a means of achieving aural magic.

Always a carny at heart, Friedman gravitated towards the sleazy independent film world, where he started a new company and ushered in a decade of his greatest films. Always brimming with bodaciously bare beauties and copious carnality – which became his tawdry trademark. From 1964-1975, he wrote and produced roughies, historical costume dramas (based on literary classics), counter culture time capsules, wild wanton westerns, various soft-X sizzlers, an elaborate jungle epic and perhaps the worst sci-fi movie ever committed to celluloid.

But what ties all of these films together is the ballyhoo. Friedman sure knew how to craft an auditory advertising campaign to got ‘em in the theatres. He was the king of alliteration and catchy taglines and his coming attractions were among the best and most entertaining of their time. Many of the trailers and radio spots utilized all-original compositions and scores from Billy Allen – a composer/conductor Friedman enlisted to set his films apart from all the other smut peddlers.

As “adults only” films were getting more explicit in the ‘70s, Friedman longed for the good old days of sin and skin. He only dabbled in the XXX world for a short time before retiring. So, listen up and get ready to have your ears spanked hard!
