BRONZE is also the San Francisco based trio of Brian Hock, Rob Spector, and Miles Friction the latest addition to the RVNG Intl. family with their debut album, "Copper". Stream-of-consciousness lyrical cooing and restrained analog trickery rest atop constant cog rotation grooves on "Copper". These elements yield a truly conductive album, abundant in compositions that beg for a listener's oxidizing ear. Commencing with "A Showdown Of Sorts", the record assumes a vague narrative aided by the allure of Tuxedomoon / Ralph Records-y exoticism, albeit less claustrophobic. The recording project spanned several years due to touring, gigging, and rehearsing with the myriad of bands that form the Brower Cinematic Universe (including the live band, Brower; plus Josephine Network, Nancy, Metalleg, and The Wand-ers), not to mention working the many day-jobs it requires to barley sustain life in NYC.

Flour is benefited by this kind of “slow” practice, where time lends itself to exploration. One gets a sense of Brower’s freedom to stretch out and try new things, new instrumentation, and take a deeper dive into the songwriting always brewing between his ears.

In Brower’s kitchen, his recipe for Flour was created, tasted, tested, reworked, revisited, and rebuilt—from scratch—to the delight of the most choosy of rock ‘n’ roll gourmands and punk rock bon vivants. As they say, good food takes time. Now, once again, Brower is served.

“La Morte Ha Fatto l’Uovo” (1968), here reissued for the very first time on vinyl, is a unique score characterized by avant-garde sounds that combine with the bright tones of an atypical thriller that pays homage to the cinema of Luis Buñuel.

“La Morte Ha Fatto L’Uovo” (Death Laid an Egg) is a 1968 detective movie directed by Giulio Questi, featuring an international cast whose main actors are Ewa Aulin, Gina Lollobrigida and Jean-Louis Trintignant; the warm and bright tones of its photography strongly contrast against the dark and gloomy atmospheres and plot. The soundtrack of the film, composed and directed by Bruno Maderna, is even more peculiar and distant from the typical sounds of the time, and from almost any other soundtrack released in the 60s: there’s no trace of beat or psychedelia at all, but rather a collection of abstract and dissonant compositions, which we could classify as avant-garde and partly associate with certain experiments made by a contemporary group called Gruppo di Improvvisazione Nuova Consonanza, but also with the less common side of the library music genre. All the songs were created with the sole use of strings, acoustic guitar, piano and spoken word. A truly unique work, unpredictable and almost impossible to categorize!

Brunson’s ‘Intimacy Between Friends’ EP on Rekids Special Projects kicks oﬀ with 'Aminal'. Originally discovered via a 2017 BBC Radio 1 interview between Benji B and Underground Resistance co-founder Mike Banks, ‘Aminal’ was played on the show and subsequently sought out by Matt Edwards for release on RSPX in 2024 as part of the ‘Intimacy Between Friends’ EP.

‘Aminal’ by Brunson is a ten-minute odyssey into atmospheric deep techno. Wiggling acidic synth motifs and warm, radiant pads bring the soul to a tight groove, constantly evolving and allowing you to sink ever deeper into majestic chords which wash over you like rays of sunlight. Brunson’s 'My Friend Ryan' is another classic Detroit sound with machine warmth and energetic drum programming, which all work together to make you move your body while your heart is enriched by its vibrant soundscape.

Brunson released his ﬁrst EP in 2023 via Berlin’s Tresor Recordings but has been active for a number of years before this as a Midwest American and Motor City producer while being the VJ behind Juan Atkins’ Model 500 shows. He now releases the ‘Intimacy Between Friends’ on Radio Slave’s Rekids Special Projects, already supported by artists such as Luke Slater, Laurent Garnier, and Jerome Sydenham.

The second release of the year on his Afroterraneo imprint, Kiko Navarro presents a brand new version of 'Mama Calling', his timeless collaboration with Buika, featuring a Tedd Patterson remix.

Originally issued in 2004, Kiko Navarro and Buika revisited the 'Mama Calling' while preparing for a live show in November 2023, and their new version of the song became a highlight of the concert. Apart from those distinctive horn stabs, this is a brand new update of the energetic and life-affirming song, perfect to help propel dancefloors into the New Year and beyond.

Around 2003 Kiko Navarro first met House legend Tedd Patterson while headlining together at Pacha Ibiza. Tedd was so enchanted by 'Mama Calling' that he asked for a pre-release copy then and there. Because it became a big staple for him in his sets a Cielo in NYC, Tedd then reached out for parts to create is own edited version of the song. A few years later Tedd had created a full on remix of the song that was only then released as part of a compilation in 2010. The remix found strong favor with a select few key underground DJs, including heavy rotation from DJs Honey
Dijon. We felt like it was the right time for a new mixdown and mastering for Tedd's classic remix which we present here in single form for the very first time.

About the artists:
Releasing on Colombia, Atlantic and Warner Music over her storied career, certified gold for album ‘Mi niña Lola’ and nominated for multiple Latin Grammy Awards (winning in 2010 for album ‘El Ultimo Trago’), Buika was named among the top 50 vocalists of all time by NPR, who described her as “the voice of freedom”.

Carving out an enviable reputation across the globe for his distinctive and highly personal brand of House music, Kiko Navarro’s voyage of sonic discovery has been going strong for almost three decades now. Born on Mallorca, Kiko’s sound reflects the sun-drenched, slow living atmosphere of the Balearic island he still calls home.
Obsessed from an early age with the more soulful side of US House music, Navarro’s DJ skills soon attracted the attention of nightlife behemoth Pacha who offered him club residencies both in Palma and in Ibiza. Next came a monthly gig at Space Ibiza and the rest, as they say, is history.

If you haven’t heard of bullet tooth yet, you soon will. Brimming with UKG, rave, and rap influences made deviously dark with heavy low-end basslines, this faceless newcomer’s captivating sound has seen him enjoy a meteoric rise since emerging on the scene in 2023. Graduating from Soundcloud bootlegs, the elusive artist made his Parklife debut this summer alongside rapper Capo Lee, with whom he produced ‘Keep It Rolling’. Featuring in sets for the likes of Sammy Virji, Main Phase, and Interplanetary Criminal, the aforementioned collab proved an instant hit, gracing BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra airwaves via Sarah Story, Jeremiah Asiamah, DJ Target and more. Concluding his summer with a bang, the UK artist joined Damian Lazarus for his Hï Ibiza residency alongside Black Coffee, and now the DJ/producer ventures into melodic landscapes via Lazarus’ Crosstown Rebels with ‘IF I CAN’T BE YOURS’. The four-track EP also features additional remixes from LA-based talent Enamour and London’s hotly sought-after Moroccan dubstep favourite SICARIA. Leading with the powerful, ‘IF I CAN’T BE YOURS’, bullet tooth takes his sound to the club, featuring nostalgic 90s-esque vocals over dubby bass that lean towards the dancefloor. MER gladly welcomes Juan Barraco aka Bunda to our catalog. Bunda is an Uruguayan producer/live performer who’s been linked to music since a young age through a classical approach with a later interest into electronic music production. Origen EP is his debut vinyl release delivering a solid four-tracks record: dancefloor-oriented pieces on each side’s first half and two downtempo tracks as second choices.
A1 ‘No hay salida’ is a proper dancefloor piece featuring a stomper and sticky kick drum along with a non-stop bassline hypnotic pulse. A2 ‘9º Mandamiento’ features a different sound landscape with a hint of Arabic melodies in synths and basslines programming. On the flip side B1 ‘Stardust’ crafts a more sci-fi-bleepy grooving Techno sound while keeping an hypnotical atmosphere all along. Bunda shows a different facet in B2 with ‘Xep Nuit’, where he shows his skills and creativity in musical composition and sound picking.
