Swedish synth-pop phenomenon Kite's second 7 inch since signing with Dais in 2023 finds the duo of Nicklas Stenemo and Christian Hutchinson Berg swinging for new heights of romantic desolation and baroque grandeur. They describe the A Side, "Losing," as a "six-minute empty call for emotional response." Stately piano and anguished voice reverberate in a vaulted hall, before gradually building into a widescreen anthem of synths, drums, and soaring vocals decrying the steady deadening of life and love: "It's deadly quiet in your old heart / Are you there? / I see dark skies on the rise / And daylight shows no remorse / And I realize it is my life / But It's losing all meaning." Swedish dark music icons Anna von Hausswolff and Henric de la Cour join the chorus as the song cascades towards an ominous horizon. The B Side, "Glassy Eyes," showcases Kite's mastery of somber, sweeping balladry. Hushed church organ elevates and anchors Stenemo's devastated confessional, swaying between resilience and defeat. The band describes the song as a reckoning with "the privileged and existential anxiety of drifting through life dispassionately," contrasted with "the yearning to connect profoundly with others and a desire for experiences that stir the soul before facing one's final moments." Like a hymn, the emotion thickens as it deepens, approaching both darkness and divinity: "Deep as I go, nothing to find / Oh catatonia, I won't cry / Nothing can grow, everything dies / Behind my glassy eyes."

Renowned worldwide for euphoric live shows, the Aotearoa band stepped inside their Bays studio in Wellington, sunup to sundown, to craft a sixth studio album. SLO MO is the strongest studio representation yet of a Freddy"s live show", says Chopper Reeds. "Usually we take the stage to the studio and this time, we"re excited about taking our studio creation on to the stage."

Swedish songwriter and multi-instrumentalist FredAtlast has announced his debut EP 'Banner Of A Lost Belief' to be released on Small Matter Records. Fred, currently better known for his day job as the bassist in Little Dragon, describes lead single 'One Day' as 'A meditation on impermanence and our way of dealing with loss. A plea to our nearest to be: nearer, dearer and more daring'. The EP was written in Fred's kitchen under the spiritual guidance of the late author Sven Lindqvist and has been his way of finding a direct voice, embracing a new sound and diving into the deep well. It was recorded in the Little Dragon studio in Gothenburg with help and support from the rest of the band who feature in different ways on the EP.

Based in the Bay Area on the U.S. West Coast, Chris Del Camino is a genre-defying indie artist who has steadily been releasing singles at his own pace since launching his solo career. He is also deeply involved in the production and touring for Hirie, a prominent reggae/rock artist in the U.S. With Mexican-American roots, Chris draws from a wide range of musical influences across cultures—from America to the Middle East, the Caribbean, and Latin regions—blending genres and sonic elements to reflect his unique experiences and voice. As a multi-instrumentalist skilled in saxophone, guitar, and flute, he fuses these elements into his music.

In addition to his solo work, Chris has released two experimental chiptune full albums under the Beek name, with cassette double packs (tim007/008-cs) from Mahalo Unlimited. He’s also known for the remix of Hirie’s reggae hit "sensi BOY," titled "8-bit Boy" (tim016-ep), which was also released as a 7" EP via Mahalo. His distinct style as a music producer sets him apart within the California rock-reggae scene.

The love song "raindrops of love" is a metaphor for the love we unknowingly receive from our family, friends, and lovers. The B-side features a cover of "Nagareboshi Be Bop" by Kenji Ozawa, whom emily hashimoto admires the most. Tokyo based indie pop / psychedelic pop band, xiexie finally releases their long-awaited debut album called “wellwell” on June 12. They have played in Fuji Rock Festival, and opened for many international artists. They also did their first headline show overseas in Taiwan and it was very successful.Their music is a bridge between Asian indie music scene and US indie music scene.

xiexie, the Japanese four-piece band formed in early 2020, combines heavy influences from 00s indie rock music with Japanese vocals to create songs that are popular with a wide range of listeners and has performed at "fuji Rock Festival '22 and Synchronicity, as well as being picked up for opening act for Tommy Guerrero when he have came to play in Japan. This LP contains two digital EPs they released in 2022, and it's the first time in their career their music is available on LP vinyl.
