Corona Forever, Forever Corona. Wenn es nach Oliver Polak geht, werden bald alle einstimmen und dieses Lied singen: Die Kinder im Kindergarten, die Gläubigen im Gottesdienst, die Urlauber am Strand, die Dealer im Park, die Polizei auf dem Weg zum Einsatz, die Manager beim Zoom-Meeting, die Kassiererinnen im Supermarkt, die Wanderarbeiter im Schlachthaus. Corona Forever, Forever Corona. Und das kam so: Oliver war wie immer mit seinem Hund Arthur unterwegs. Beim Spazierengehen durch die menschenleeren Straßen von Hamburg hatte er plötzlich einen Basslauf und eine kleine Melodie im Ohr - und den passenden Refrain dazu: Corona Forever, Forever Corona. Oliver ging zu seinem Freund Carsten Meyer, besser bekannt als Erobique, und sang ihm seine Melodie vor. Carsten hat ein kleines Studio am Fischmarkt, in dem beiden gerade an einem Album arbeiten. Er setzte sich sofort ans Klavier. "Das ist bei uns immer so", sagt Oliver. "Ich singe was, und Carsten fängt an zu spielen." Sie reimten "House" auf "Mouse" und "Everbody's missing" auf "Handshakes, hugs and kissing". Zwei Sängerinnen aus Hamburg bildeten einen Chor, in dem man auf der Stelle Mitglied werden möchte, die Orchester-Begleitung kam aus dem Midi, und fertig war der Song: Corona Forever, Forever Corona Oliver Polak ist Entertainer, Schriftsteller und Gastgeber mehrerer Fernsehsendungen. Singen kann er auch, seine Stimme liegt irgendwo zwischen Barry White und Barry Manilow. Bekannt geworden ist er als deutsch-jüdischer Comedian mit einem ausgeprägten Hang zur Grenzüberschreitung. Doch wenn man seinen Corona-Song hört, wird schnell klar, dass dieses Lied kein Witz ist. Es beschreibt das lähmende Gefühl der Isolation und der Unsicherheit, das die letzten Monate geprägt hat und das wohl auch so schnell nicht wieder verschwinden wird. Corona Forever, Forever Corona. Es ist kein Zufall, dass er dabei klingt wie der Sänger einer deutschen Synthiepop-Band aus den Achtzigern, die auf den internationalen Markt schielt. Damals hatte man keine Angst vor Pathos, und auch Oliver kennt keine Scheu vorm großen Gefühl, auch wenn es verwundbar macht. "Corona Forever" ist Clubhit und Schmusesong in einem. Der Zustand der Unsicherheit und der Hilflosigkeit wird von einem Refrain aufgehoben, der sich ausbreitet wie eine kuschelige Decke. Eine Decke, unter der die ganze Menschheit Platz hat. Forever Corana, Corona Forever!

January 20, 2020 saw the surprise release of David Lynch's short What Did Jack Do? on Netflix. If you watched the grainy, police procedural over the last few days, you most likely found yourself saying aloud `who is Jack Cruz and how can I get more of his music?' Sacred Bones is announcing the release of the short's featured original song "True Love's Flame" by the primate star crooner of yesteryear; Jack Cruz. Not much is known about Cruz's career prior to his involvement with Lynch, but fortunately, we have not just one song, but two: 'Dancin' in the World of Love' is the B-side to the short's single_uncovered recently and an excellent example of Cruz's emotional prowess and magical, gold-dipped vocal cords. Both songs were written by Lynch and Dean Hurley with artwork carefully crafted by Lynch himself.

During a European Festival tour Gaff E reaches Baldelli at his home and they decide to collaborate with a deep connection in studio screaming "Be wild… be free… BE YOURSELF!"; these two happy tracks were born to connect people with their true selves and ultimate freedom which best express the nature of Gaff E and the Cosmic Disco Sound of Daniele Baldelli. Magic happens when the Disco Queen and the Disco King join forces!

With their Debut „Everything Went Down As Planned“ A Tale Of Golden Keys made it to numerous club and festival stages, into the good radios and Spotify playlists. Their sophomore album continued their way of releasing beautiful songs for the indie pop crowd. „Shrimp“ is a critically acclaimed record and was one of the most successful indie pop albums from Germany in 2018. In 2019 the band released the soundtrack for the adventure documentary "Tyry" called "Tyry (Music for the Film)".

We gladly present the long awaited debut album by kurdish multi-instrumentalist Philippos Sîpano and Frankfurt am Main’s mighty duo Dan Bay & Le Rubrique aka The MPC Orchestra. “The Spirit of Dilovan” pays tribute to Philippos Sîpano and Dan Bayat’s youth band “Spirit Of Dilovan”, sketches the different musical paths the two took over the years and finds its final form in their new collaboration with Dilovan Le Rubrique, a master in the studio and a true patchbay wizzard. With multilayered arrangements based on different kurdish music traditions and inspired by their indivudual experiences of Pop- and Clubculture, Philippos Sîpano & The MPC Orchestra’s new album can be both perceived as diasporic Popmusic or epic dancefloor monster for experienced music lovers. All songs were produced at Offenbach’s Upper Citycenter Studio and dedicated to all DIlovans* out there, hoping they will one day constitute the majority of all people and we will all find peace, love and habibtiness on planet earth.

Verveine is a music project that began with Joell Nicolas (ch) as a composer,songwriter and vocalist. Her classical background (piano) together with a strong taste for the pop, electronic and avant-garde cultures have allowed her to build something we could name « pop of the extremes » with her machines and her voice. Her work asserts its own identity and centers around an aesthetic duality, shaped both by a cerebral quest for sensation and a more visceral quest for emotion. After a few years in Berlin and Brussels, where she gleaned her taste for sounds hybridizations, Hotdrama (vrvn records, Fav Art Publishing) is a her first studio album.

Snaith follows up with a new EP of remixes by four exciting new artists - Shanti Celeste, Kareem Ali, Logic1000 and India Jordan - each with their own unique takes on standout tracks from the record.

The 3Js' new studio album was produced entirely by the band this time. In the run-up to album release of de Aard Van Het Beest, the Volendammers released the second single from the album 'Wat Je Mist'. The line that has already been carefully mapped out with the single released last year 'De Toekomst', the first with the talented Robin in the ranks, is continued on the new album. 'We decided from the first moment to make our most positive record ever', says Dulles. A spontaneous musical idea by Robin resulted in this spring-fresh song, in which the sound of 3JS is combined with gospel and hip-hop influences. The 3JS therefore asked SO! Gospel Choir to sing along to the song.The album is available as a limited on coloured (transparent & green mixed) vinyl.
