Havoc and Bright Lights is the eighth studio album by Alanis Morissette and became her first top five album in the US since 2004’s So-Called Chaos. The album peaked at number one in Canada, Italy, Austria and Switzerland, and at number two in the Netherlands and Germany.

Havoc and Bright Lights was produced by Guy Sigsworth and Joe Chiccarelli and sounds much brighter, sunnier and up-tempo than her previous album Flavors of Entanglement, winding up with a wide-open, cheerful set of adult pop.

The album spawned three singles; “Guardian”, “Lens” and “Receive”. Havoc and Bright Lights on black vinyl includes a 4-page booklet with pictures and lyrics.

Der neue Longplayer unterstreicht und zelebriert all das, was die Band während ihrer ersten Blütezeit ausmachte, denn er spielt immer wieder auf die Vergangenheit an, bringt aber auch kontinuierlich Neues ins Spiel. Ihr Trademark-Sound schwingt im sorglos-ausgelassenen Titelsong, der von MNEK (Beyoncé, Little Mix) mitkomponiert wurde, genauso mit wie in der gefühlvollen Ballade "Magnetic", bei der die Jungs mal wieder ihr ganzes umwerfendes Stimmvolumen auspacken dürfen. Mit der Leadsingle "Haven't Found You Yet" legen Blue einen Instant-Classic vor, der klanglich eher in Richtung Justin Bieber oder auch jüngere Coldplay-Hits geht. For Their Debut Single "Lesson One" They Utilized Small, Simple Analog Synthesizer Set Up Of All Vintage Roland Analog Synths And Drum Machine. Figure Study's Sound Includes Influences From Early Minimal Synth Music Such As Kirlian Camera, Nine Circles, And The Actor. All Songs Have Been Mastered For Vinyl By George Horn At Fantasy Studios In Berkeley. Each 7" Is Housed In A Specially Designed Jacket By N. Antolik And Includes A Postcard Sized Insert Of All Lyrics.
