Inspired by Front 242, Skinny Puppy and Clock DVA, Arno and Tibor were fellow students at the Center of Electronic Music (CEM) in Arnhem, Netherlands during the mid 80's.After getting a record deal with the Belgian Antler Subway, and started producing their first EP, originally meant as EBM. But since they were in the middle of proceeding, they took the chance to incorporate some of those influences in their first record, 'Force D'Inquisition', in 1990, which became one of the earliest Dutch house records.Track A2 is the legendary 'Apocalypse', which was quite a hit at the time both in the EBM and acid scene, with gentlemen like Frankie Knuckles playing it in his sets.Arno Peeters was later part of Random XS and Urban Electro and worked solo as Spasms on Djax-Up-Beats. * Music selected by Kunimondo Takiguchi * Sixth installment from the Universal Music 'city Music Tokyo' series * Album art by Yasuyuki Takagi Universal Music is excited to release this compilation series that highlights hidden City Pop gems selected by Kunimondo Takiguchi. This release is the sixth installment following 'invitation' (released in November 2020), 'junction' (released in April 2022), 'signal' and 'tremolo' (released in January 2023), and 'parallelism' (released in March 2023). It is set to include rare tracks from various labels such as Universal Music, Polydor, Kitty Records, EMI, and more. This collection compiles city music that one can imagine from the themes of 'urban life' and 'music' in Tokyo, and it's something that should be listened to right now. Continuing the series title 'city Music TOKYO,' the subtitle for this installment is 'corner.' In the process of the changes in city pop from the 1970s, this subtitle was chosen to emphasize the 80s and 90s tracks as a 'corner' in the transformation. Additionally, it aims to shine a spotlight on tracks that may have been in the 'corner' of the hit charts and not gained as much attention. The concept-representing imagery was captured by photographer Yasuyuki Takagi. Art direction and graphic design are handled by Kunimondo Takiguchi.

The second release of Taiyo & Ciscomoon's 7-inch project, "Magic of Love", will also be released on July 24, 2024, which received enthusiastic requests from DJs. Its B-side features the song "Versus".

"One, Two, Three" was released in the Hello! Project's 15th anniversary year and their 50th single in total. This is the first full-fledged double A-side single. The original release date was July 4th, 2012. The B-side features "The Matenro Show".

Morning Musume's first 7-inch project will be released on July 24th. The original release date was September 9th, 1998. “Daite Hold ON ME!” was the first Morning Musume song to reach #1 on the Japanese singles chart. The 7-inch B-side contains the song "Tatoeba".

Veneno hits Dark Entries! Spain’s most loved transgender TV star arrives on the label in celebration of Madrid Pride on June 30th. Cristina Ortiz fled her home in Almeria at age 13. While working as a sex worker in the Parque del Oeste in Madrid, she was discovered by the TV program “Este Noche Cruzamos el Mississippi”. Her acerbic wit and candid descriptions of life as a sex worker (including graphic use of the microphone as a visual aid) struck program host and director Pepe Navarro, who recognized a star when he saw one. As a regular on the show, La Veneno (The Poison) became a TV sensation and an icon for the trans community. Her music career began in 1996 with the release of “Veneno Pa Tu Piel”, a sassy but mournful Eurobeat number about forbidden love with her johns. The flipside features “El Rap De La Veneno”, a house track over which Veneno improvises some of her famous catchphrases, including her iconic “Digoooo!”. The release was a hit, selling over 50,000 copies in Spain. Two different mixes of both tracks are included on this reissue. Each copy includes an insert with lyrics, notes, and a photo of La Veneno. Abriendo Puertas is the second Spanish language album by Gloria Estefan, originally released in 1995. In contrast to the album Mi Tierra, her successful Spanish debut album that was primarily influenced by Cuban music, Abriendo Puertas draws on a wider variety of Latin American musical styles. The album performed very well globally, achieving Platinum certification in the United States, Colombia, Argentina, and Spain. It went on to win the 1996 Grammy Award for Best Tropical Latin Album. Some of the popular songs featured on this album include "Abriendo Puertas", "Farolito", "Tres Deseos" and "Más Allá".

June 1995 saw an alternative white-covered version released, this had a different track listing on the 4th side of the LP set with new tracks. The music on the album is edited together from various live broadcasts that the duo had transmitted to radio stations all over the world using Isdn networking. 2024 marks the 30th anniversary of this fan-favorite album, to celebrate this the audio from both versions has been amalgamated and sequenced by Brian Dougans. Pressed on clear vinyl with a brand-new front cover.

2024 is the 30th anniversary of the Sinéad O’Connor Single, You Made Me the Thief of Your Heart. The track was written by Bono, Gavin Friday and Maurice Seezer for the soundtrack to the 1993 film In the Name of the Father. The song was produced by English musician Tim Simenon (Bomb The Bass) and Gavin Friday and does not appear on any of O’Connor’s studio albums, but in 1997, it was included on her first compilation album, So Far… The Best Of. This exclusive release for Record Store Day 2024 is on clear vinyl and pulls together the versions of the track released in 1994 as well as the B-Side, The Father and His Wife The Spirit performed by Sinéad and Gavin Friday.
