On August 23, 2024, Andreas Dorau's 1994 album "Neu!" will be released in an exclusive "30th Anniversary" edition - for the first time as a yellow double vinyl, strictly limited to 500 copies and signed by the artist himself. It also includes two B-sides ("Meine Lieder (Musik wird wahr)" and "Von Siemens nach Telefunken") as well as two unpublished remixes that Mike Ink alias Wolfgang Voigt brought out of the basement especially for him and that were not released at the time. The double LP is rounded off with two remixes of "Komm wieder". The gatefold cover contains new liner notes by Hans Nieswandt. Each edition is hand-signed by Andreas Dorau. “Neu!” was, from today’s perspective, a flawless 90s record. That this decade of innocent and still very fresh rave fun would become something completely legendary, a real place of longing that generation after generation of rave kids have fantasized about again and again since then, perhaps more so today than ever before – none of this was foreseeable in ’94.

“Neu!” is, thirty years later, as fresh and current as the decade from which this record comes, which in a certain sense never ended. If you want to be mentally transported back to its mythical, heroic pioneering days, either permanently or just for a bit of quality time, this album is perfect for you.

Swedish group Roxette celebrates the 30th Anniversary of their third album “Joyride”, following the band’s spectacular global breakthrough with “Look Sharp!” in 1989. The 30th Anniversary of ”Joyride” will be celebrated with the release of a marbled pressed vinyl and original black vinyl, this time with gatefold cover. 4-album vinyl set and a 3-cd box also available, containing the original release as well as previously unreleased or hard-to-get material.

Joyride” was the album that was supposed to cement Roxette’s new-found status as a global hit-makers. Which indeed it did. On May 1, the title track zoomed all the way up to #1 position on the Billboard Hot 100 chart – setting a record no Scandinavian group or artist has yet been able to break, helping to make “Joyride” a 11+ million seller.

Twelve of the songs are previously unreleased, among them the first recording of ”Hotblooded”, which originally was meant to be the album’s opening track until ”Joyride” knocked it down a notch, giving the album and the upcoming “Join the Joyride” World Tour its name. The “Joyride” box set also offers a chance to hear two previously unreleased demos of songs originally released by Per’s former group Gyllene Tider, who in 1984 tried to break the international market with the album “Heartland Café”.

2024 is the 30th anniversary of the Sinéad O’Connor Single, You Made Me the Thief of Your Heart. The track was written by Bono, Gavin Friday and Maurice Seezer for the soundtrack to the 1993 film In the Name of the Father. The song was produced by English musician Tim Simenon (Bomb The Bass) and Gavin Friday and does not appear on any of O’Connor’s studio albums, but in 1997, it was included on her first compilation album, So Far… The Best Of. This exclusive release for Record Store Day 2024 is on clear vinyl and pulls together the versions of the track released in 1994 as well as the B-Side, The Father and His Wife The Spirit performed by Sinéad and Gavin Friday.

Emergency on Planet Earth is the debut studio album released by British funk/acid jazz band Jamiroquai, orginally released in 1993.

“Refugees of the Heart” is the sixth solo studio album by Steve Winwood, released in 1990. The album contained the hit single, "One and Only Man", which topped the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart and saw the return of former Traffic bandmate Jim Capaldi to Winwood's songwriting team. By coincidence, a Traffic reunion followed in 1994. Because of that collaboration, Winwood would not record another solo album until late 1997. Also "I Will Be Here" and "Another Deal Goes Down" were released as singles. Winwood stated about the closing track, “In The Light Of Day”: 'When Will and I wrote the song (..) it was our idea of what Nelson Mandela's dream was, while he was in prison. It was really just a fantasy of ours, but that’s what we based the song on.'

Morning Musume's first 7-inch project will be released on July 24th. The original release date was September 9th, 1998. “Daite Hold ON ME!” was the first Morning Musume song to reach #1 on the Japanese singles chart. The 7-inch B-side contains the song "Tatoeba".

A playful music project by Koo a.k.a. Takuya Kuroda and Voo a.k.a. Marihito Ayabe (Chimp Beams, Loop Diary) both from Brooklyn, NY.

The two met as members of Main Space (started in 2008), an experimental rock band, and hit it off because of their musicality. Amid each other’s extremely busy schedules, they had a series of music sessions in their spare time to give each other updates on their recent activities. After 11 years, the album finally took shape. Kuroda’s trumpet and keys dance on Ayabe’s breakbeats.

Kuroda, an energetic and nimble jazz trumpet player with a hint of afro beat, and Ayabe, a dub beat maker with a dark and cosmic feel—the light chemical reaction between these opposing elements has opened a new musical page.

All performances are performed by Kuroda and Ayabe, who have deep roots in Brooklyn, and their unique friendship has made it possible for them to perform with guests such as Cory King (vocal, trombone), and DJ SPINNA (remix).

Ian Campbell was born in Nottingham (uk) in 1968. In 1980 he left UK to join a breakdance group. During a tour of Italy Ian fell in love with the “bel paese” and decided to stay on and find a job as a singer or DJ. His first love was rap, above all Raggamuffin (due to his Jamaican origins). In 1989 by chance he met the producer Robyx, who decided to record a track with him. In just a few days, the first single "Easy" was ready. Within a few months it became a success first in Europe, then worldwide. The project was called "Ice MC" and the songs were sung, written and played by Robyx, while Ian took care of the rap. The album “Cinema”, and two further singles, “Cinema” and “Scream” followed this first success. The three singles sold a total of two million copies, and the album around five hundred thousand! anuary 1996 Stereo Total released their first album “OH AH” on the label Peace 95 on CD, the vinyl was on Little Teddy records. It featured recordings from 94 to 95 made at Alien Sound and a lot of 4-track home recording. The song “Dactylo Rock” (which featured a typewriter-solo) was released as a single with a video. The single had remixes from A CERTAIN FRANK, which has Pyrolator and Frank Fenstermacher from the legendary early 80ties children-electronics-band der Plan, which had a huge influence on Stereo Total), Alec Empire, Chrislo Haas (who was playing in Liaisons Dangereuses and DAF), Le Hammond Inferno, Poptarts and Sons of 68. Stereo Total started to do a long tour through Germany, Switzerland and Austria. After this tour the band split up, and once again it was only Françoise and Brezel, going on touring and recording new material.

n 1998 the record “Jukebox Alarm” came out. It was mixed and produced by Kurt Dahlke, aka Pyrolator, in Düsseldorf. For this record Stereo Total used a lot of home recording equipment and a big 16-bit-sampler, to cut up their 4-track and studio recordings. The result was a continuation of their garage-“trash”-sound with new weapons. The record was released in Europe by Bungalow and in Japan by Appareil Photo

The group’s story begins in 1991 when the singer William Naraine met the producer Robyx. In January 1992, after some demo recordings, they released the monster hit “Please don’t go”. With more than three million copies sold, "Please don’t go" earned an abundance of gold and platinum records worldwide, including America and UK, where it was the biggest hit of 1992. The second single "We all need love" was recorded in June 1992 during a European tour.
