Old School-mäßig geht es wieder auf dem neuen 2004er Sampler von Soul Jazz Records zu. "Studio One Dub" ist die Nummer 8 dieser grandiosen Serie. Fast alle der 17 Tracks, allesamt Versions, also die B-Seiten der jamaikanischen Singles - waren 30 Jahre lang nicht zu hören. Besondere Highlights sind Horace Andys "Sky Rhythm", der sehr rare Dub seines Klassikers "Skylarking" von 1972, die Versions zu Johnny Osbournes "Truth And Rights", John Holts Klassiker "Hooligan" oder Freddie McGregors "Bobby Bobylon". Dazu gibt es noch Versionen legendärer Tracks wie "In Cold Blood", "Chase Them" oder "Rastaman". In den siebziger Jahren gab es auf dem Label Studio One auch eine Vielzahl von Dub-LPs, die unter dem Namen Dub Specialist herausgegeben wurden. Von diesen LPs sind Ausnahme-Tracks wie z.B. "Bionic Dub" auf der Compilation vertreten.
