Two pop-infused tunes from under the blanket, ahead of their upcoming new EP, stay tuned!

This ain't from Chicago. But it could well be. The mysterious production duo operating under
the sonic nom de guerre CHIHUAHUA ON ACID works the box like jack never left the
dancefloor, fully indulging in a classic, ever so positive and ecstatic AcidHouse vibe that
makes us feel like it still is 1988. An absolutely banging - or better: jacking - vinyl debut for
the project, proudly presented by Intrauterin Recordings as a hand-stamped, limited to 300
copies one-sided yellow vinyl 7“ edition.

Romantic proto-acid written and composed by a young Ukrainian student Maxim Shubski in 2010 on a cold winter day in East Germany and subsequently released later same year as a limited run of 100 vinyl copies under “Andreuccio Torelli” moniker. This release was accompanied by a fake story about the lost & found master tapes by an unknown Italian producer from the 80’s. The story is still available as a PDF on the label’s website. Since the original vinyl stampers are long lost, Baran Records has made a new limited 7 inch vinyl reissue.

“(Got To) Move On / Rosa Da Ribeira” continues the series of edits and remi¬xes from Stefano Tirone aka S-Tone Inc.’s latest studio album, “Body & Soul” (2020, Sccd/lp493); this 7” is also a preview of the forthcoming release of a project named “Body & Soul - The Disco Experience” where Stefano, with the help of some of his faithful collaborators, reinvents and transforms into a new boogie disco groove dress the entire “Body & Soul” LP. Both songs here combine nu-disco with late ’70s funk / soul / dance, Stefa¬no’s first real ‘musical love’: a way therefore to underline his unconditional passion for the music that represented his youth and, at the same time, the awareness of the inevitability of the modern times we live in. “Got To (Move On)” is an up-tempo song with a leading pulsating bass that sees the participation of Afra Kane, a Nigerian singer who has lived in Italy, England and Switzerland, and who gives ‘black’ shades to the songs with her splendid voice. “Rosa Da Ribeira”, sung by Toco with the additional backing vocals of Prisci¬la Ribas, Luzia Dvorek and Gui Hargreaves, shows off an exotic touch given by the Brazilian melodies and the Portuguese lyrics, and is further enriched by Gilberto Tarocco’s baritone sax and Randy Freeman’s trombone.

Precursor to DJ Die Soon's upcoming monster of an album on Morphine, this 7inch introduces the legendary beatmaker from Berlin with a more stripped down, clashy dancefloor killer on one side, and a 'deep doped' heavy roller on the B side. TIP!

For the past few years it seems like summer hasn’t really kicked off until Detroit legend John Beltran drops a Back To Bahia release on MotorCity Wine Recordings. For the Volume 4 7”, John goes even extra deep. “Laguna” takes up the A-side, with plenty of uplifting Afro-Brazilian drums and live bass from James Simonson, synth swells, and keyboards for those beautiful soundsystem moments. On the flip side is “Just Beyond The Sun”, a super-extra-Balearic number for sunset sets and more. We think this is the perfect end to the Back To Bahia series from John, and per usual it’s produced and manufactured in Detroit. TIP!
