Epperson Mountaineering Bags

Established in 1973 by Mark Epperson, Epperson Mountaineering is a company specialized on heavy-duty bags for extreme conditions. In the early 70s, the Montana native Epperson wasn’t able to find a functional, high-quality backpack that his demanding need for high-quality packs, so he decided to put his vision of the perfect bag into action. Made from premium fabrics, Epperson’s own design was practical and rugged at the same time, plus it looked great. Soon, local outdoor enthusiasts sought the handmade packs and requests grew up quickly, so that Epperson eventually opened his own retail shop in Libby, Montana. As demand outstripped supply, he trained artisan pack makers to create Epperson Mountaineering backpacks. Nowadays, Epperson Mountaineering items are still produced in the United States, plus they’re made from high-end components like 1000 denier Cordura weave, YKK zippers or mil-spec tubular webbing.
