After his strong debut on our label last year Idan Hana is back with a very special follow up! This spring, close after his release on Berlin’s “Aterral” label , he celebrates a deeper and more open, eclectic side of his sound. This EP consists of a wonderful journey into jazzy, electronic spheres. The opener Moon Desert is a floating piano house track with ever evolving rhythms and melodies, showcasing the vast creativity happening in Idan’s LA studio during many late night shifts. Placed as a short break is the cinematic and joyful “Galaxy One Two Three” interlude, sustaining the mood and setting the tone for the last track on the A side called “Far from the Sun”. This break beat joint is reminiscent of classic trip hop combined with atmospheric deep house grooves, organs and synthesizer flutes, topped with a distinct vocal sample. On the flip there is a very special extended remix of one of Idan’s debut EP tracks “Lo Fi Hi” by none other than Chicago’s finest Ron Trent. He reworked the original in his unique style and arrangement and elevates it to new heights by adding beautiful strings, guitar and keys. We couldn’t have dreamt of a better remix for this track and are so honoured to have him featured on our label and this new Idan Hana EP.

Fantasound is the fifth full length album from Slovenian Space Disco producer Ichisan. This debut LP on international label Gouranga Music follows recent singles Harmona and Margit Mono. Ichisan's sound is Space Disco Pop Bliss - swooshing synths collide with pulsing rhythms and twinkling melodies, creating a kaleidoscopic universe of pure joy. The artist explains the process: "The album was recorded during the 2020 lockdown period. In those long uncertain days I watched all kinds of movies and rediscovered the ‘1940 Fantasia' with my three year old son. I started researching the story behind the production of the animated musical film and especially the sound production of Fantasia. Fantasound was a stereophonic sound reproduction system developed by engineers of Walt Disney and RCA. That is how I found the album title. After the album was recorded I knew that the artwork must be related to Fantasia. I always had ‘The Sorcerer's Apprentice' in my mind as an inspiration for the album artwork. Mickey Mouse's dreams in the dark-blue space and Fantasia poster logo were guidelines. The illustrator Meta Wraber delivered the fantastic artwork in her signature watercolour technique." 'Fantasound' is a symphony of disco and italo rhythms, space synth waves and a happy-go-lucky driving rhythms. A sound that doesn't exist in the real world, the Fantasound is very much alive and in our mind during our happiest moments. Ichisan’s 2017 Aperitiv was so good that we’ve decided to return for a second helping from his sumptuous album. Four choice cuts have been selected and reworked with a specific instrument focus. The harpsicord version of “Hotel” keeps the intoxicating melody of the original but allows beats to relax as notes shine with an incandescent brilliance. Drums put their feet up for the Rhodes version of “Modri Tunel.” Deep stings and lounging lines mingle in this work of smoke swirling seduction. “Kozmetika (Trumpet Version)” dances to a different tune. These pieces are extremely soothing, heavenly, loving, and peaceful, and capture the energies of love - on a galactic scale. It functions as a universal healing comforting presence.

This genre of music could be termed 'classical New Age music'. The philosopher Alan Watts has said, 'Iasos is doing the classical music of the New Age.' This album is a 'vibrational environment' of soothing loving angelic feelings - very nurturing and comforting.

The music can be used for creating a sacred space, for meditating, body-work, visualization, hospice work, emotional healing, and for tuning into angels. It is well suited for relaxing the mind, body and spirit.

When Iasos first released this album, it immediately became an underground classic, due to its universal appeal. It was the one of first albums that created a new music genre now known as ''New Age'' music. In addition, it still is one of the most cherished pieces of music worldwide. The Psychology Department at Plymouth State College had this music receive the highest rating, by quite a margin, for being ''most like the heavenly music'' heard by people who had had a near-death experience.

'Angelic Music' was released on vinyl only once in 1989 on Brazilian label Estúdio Eldorado. This is a first LP reissue and additional CD reissue. Comes with original artwork - Painting ['Star Dancer'] by Gilbert Williams.

Ian Pooley returns to Rekids with Studio A Pt.3 this September.

The third and final entry in a three-part release series based on his studio, Ian Pooley’s ‘Studio A Pt. 3’ for Radio Slave’s imprint sees him drop yet another set of bumping, hardware-focussed tracks.

Leading the A-side, ‘pss480’ combines swinging drums, modulated low end, and trippy bleeps for a party-starting house track. ‘sp12 Electric Mistress’ brings flanged-out drums and lush pads together for a wonky yet driving cut. On the flip, ‘Viola’ sees Pooley heading toward heavier territories with rumbling kicks and heaving synths forming a pumping techno track before the ‘303 Version’ of ‘sp12 Electric Mistress’ closes out the EP, introducing tweaked-out acid lines and freaky FX to the original version.

Active since the early 90s, the German DJ/producer has released on the likes of Force Inc, V2 Records, and his own Pooledmusic, remixing for the likes of Deee-Lite, Carl Cox and many more, as well as being one of the few to be remixed by Daft Punk.

After his highly publicized breakup with Taylor Swift at LAâ€™s Viper Room ,Iain Howie returned to Vancouver. Taylor released â€œBad Blonde Boyâ€, a breakup song about Iain and Iain quickly rebutted with â€œ Patternsâ€ about Taylor. He began working on his solo album and got a remix of Patterns by his shady neighbour â€œJay Tripwireâ€. Partly because of the fact Taylor could never stand Tripwire. Over the course of a year Tripwire churned out 10 different remixes for an alternative vinyl only release. Jay would have his friend Anton play various remixes from his hot dog cart in Bucharest. One early morning it caught the ear from Cally. Cally had only intended to buy a foot long Frankenfurter after Guesthouse, but he was so captivated, that he asked Anton for a cassette tape of the song. Most Romanian DJs often look to Antonâ€™s hot dog cart to find obscure unreleased gems. Cally began his closed door ritual of compiling songs for closing Sunwaves that year. When getting his tea leaves read, his spirit guide advised him on using â€œPatternsâ€ as the closing song to the festival. Boogie Woogie NOW! is een ode aan de Victory Boogie Woogietunnel en de nieuwe verbinding die ermee ontstaat tussen Den Haag en Rotterdam. Boogie Woogie NOW! werd bedacht door David Schoch en het creatieve team achter cultuurpodium PIP Den Haag. Samen met Haagse en Rotterdamse kunstenaars ontwikkelden zij een lichtinstallatie, waarmee zij hun interpretatie van de boogiewoogie laten zien. De installatie is van de hand van David Schoch, Jorick Mulder, Polo Vreedenburgh en Jeroen Meijer van PIP Den Haag. Licht- en installatiekunstenaar Philip Vermeulen voegt hier 2 van zijn werken aan toe. De muziek is speciaal gecomponeerd door DJ's en producers Alden Tyrell en I-F, 2 kopstukken uit de elektronische muziekscene van Den Haag en Rotterdam. Het geheel wordt ingeleid met een poetische ode aan de Victory Boogie Woogietunnel, door Steven van Lummel, Haagse woordkunstenaar, en Dean Bowen, tot voor kort de Rotterdamse stadsdichter.
