[ENG"Eat More Possum" is Antiseen's most acclaimed album, originally released in 1993 and now remastered for this vinyl reissue. ANTISEEN is an American punk rock band formed in Charlotte, North Carolina by Jeff Clayton and Joe Young in 1983. The name "Antiseen" serves as a deliberate deviation of the phrase "anti-scene" - the group not wishing to adhere to standard perceptions of punk rock in specific and rock music in general. Musically, Antiseen is influenced by groups such as the Ramones and Stooges, employing short, heavily distorted power chord-driven songs largely free of guitar solos or advanced musicianship. The band has a catalogue of over 100 LPs, EPs, CDs and DVDs recorded with various line-ups and have performed all over the world. Years after crawling from the primordial ooze of rural North Carolina, Antiseen proceed to bulldoze through the nineties with one quality release after another. Eat More Possum is one of the greatest specimens of gun totin', meat eatin', society rejectin' punk rock the Young / Clayton posse ever laid to wax. Young's guitar tone is particularly grinding, heartwarming like steel cutting machinery buzzing in your ear, capped by Jeff Clayton's trademark ursine raving. Speedballs like "Star Whore" and "Storm Trooper" are like chopper territory fights set to music, while anthropological studies on southern attitudes like "Trapped in Dixie" offer miles of perspective to the unfamiliar. The vegetarian torturing anthem "Animals (Eat 'em)" may be the tastiest nugget in this pannikin of dixie nihilism, and the boys nail one hell of a Ramones cover along the way. This is an absolute must for fans of extreme punk rock ala GG Allin, Dwarves, Poison Idea, etc.

"in the mid-1970s anton bruhin was surely at the peak of his tape manipulation works. always using poor techniques and equipment he sculpted everyday-life sonic objects turning them into very accomplished and yet totally experimental music artifacts. the works presented here surely are among the most accomplished results of his expanded creativity. "inout", a masterpiece for tuning whistle, mouthharps, flutes, toy and party gag instruments, percussion, bells, electric razor, model ship engine with propeller, birdcall whistles, ch-phon, feedback speaker-microphone, siren, double shawm, falling down spoon, jew's harp (only two short notes), tearing scotch tape from the spool, ocarina, hair dryer and other noise makers plus occasionally radio tuner was recorded in zurich between may 17th and may 22nd, 1981, on a sanyo m7300l stereo radio cassette recorder with both integrated and external microphone. the recorder is in the recording standby position, both record and pause buttons are pushed. then bruhin sings or plays a tone into the microphone. during this tone he releases the pause button by pushing it. subsequently he presses the pause button again within a fraction of a second. now the first short note is recorded. in "inout" thousands of very short notes were added this way, like a patchwork, like an acoustic quilt with geometric irregularities and varied patterns. "rotomotor", subtitled "ein motorische idiotikon", is a 28 minutes long reading representing one of bruhin's major works. written in zurich between 1976 and 1977, then recorded in august 1978 at etienne conod's sunrise studio. "rotomotor" is a poetic idiotikon of the swiss-german dialect where, instead of the straight alphabetical order, the words are organized according to the similarities of their letters (each word differ from the previous one by just one letter). for this reading a delay equipment which repeated the signal after 0.6 seconds was used and each word is superimposed to the echo of the preceding one. on one hand this echo generates the rhythm of the performance, on the other it supports the acoustic metamorphosis of the words. as always in anton buhin poetics, a very simple concept perfectly accomplished. anton bruhin in the 1960s began organizing happenings and performances, creating sound works, designing and typesetting his own books (which he self-published with hannes r. bossert through april-verlag), drawing and writing poetry. anton bruhin was a member of the first class to study at the f+f school with serge stauffer, famous art teacher and specialist in marcel duchamp, where he came into contact with concrete poetry, fluxus and experimental music."

Anzola is a Toronto based Venezuelan-born recording artist and multi-instrumentalist, whose loop-based neo-psychedelic music incorporates elements of Instrumental Hip Hop, Electronic, Jazz, and Latin genres. Utilizing samplers, classic synths, drum machines, and live instrumentation, Anzola’s sound is groove-heavy and often depicts a laid-back landscape. Anzola is set to release his upcoming self-produced six-track EP entitled Bodega, on April 8, 2022. The record was developed throughout the course of 2020 and into early 2021 and was recorded at Anzola’s home studio in Toronto. Throughout the pandemic, Anzola continued working on music while re-building his home studio in a new physical space. This provided an opportunity to experiment with different layouts of his gear, which impacted the ways in which he interacted with the equipment. Bodega was born out of a manipulation of immediate loopable tracks for Anzola’s keys and synths, and fluid rhythmic changes that progressed as the songs themselves were created. Anzola’s previous 2020 release, Caracas, was a six-track EP that embodied his experience of growing up in the city of Caracas. The record celebrated his youth and explored the parts of himself that were left behind when he immigrated to Canada. Caracas was entirely self-produced and was created instrumentally utilizing drum machines, bass, synths, electric pianos, and samplers.

AOW is a new collaborative project from Dan Ghenacia and Tolga Fidan emerging from a new period of creativity and inspiration for the Lisbon-based artists. Long time friends and fellow lynchpins of the European house and techno scene, Ghenacia and Fidan started working closely together through 2020 and 2021 while sharing studio space at Boa Lab. They found themselves at the heart of an artistic community of musicians, designers and engineers, which took shape around Ghenacia’s experiments with alpha wave generation, inspired by Bryon Gysin’s Dream Machine. Ghenacia and engineer Anine Kirsten developed a modern update on Gysin’s 1950s design, which has been installed at exhibitions in London, Lisbon and Paris. At its heart, the project explores the natural hallucinatory effects of alpha wave projections on the eyelids, and the therapeutic benefits of the experience. Out of this spirit of psychedelically-charged experimentation, Ghenacia and Fidan have been working beyond the confines of their typical club-oriented material, creating ambient soundtracks to artist exhibitions in Boa and auditory backdrops to Alpha Wave Experience installations. AOW bridges the gap between this new period of creativity and Ghenacia and Fidan’s life-long passion for electronic dance music. Compared to the strictures of house and techno they’re best known for, the three tracks on Hear the Light explore a more open, inquisitive sound with roots in UK electronica and West Coast psychedelic breaks (a seminal scene when Ghenacia was in the Bay Area in the 90s). Crucially though, it’s not a pointedly retro sound, but rather a result of rich streams of inspiration meeting and passing through crisp, modernist production techniques to offer something genuinely fresh on the ears.Working outside of their comfort zones and guided by creative philosophies springing from research, shared experience and community, Hear the Light marks a new step forward for Ghenacia and Fidan, with many more developments promised for the future.

Scottish post-punk trio's 11-track best-of collection of 1980s alternative radio and dance rock club hits:Formed in Scotland in 1979, APB were a post-punk trio blending edgy guitars with funk and new wave sounds. The band had many early '80s alternative radio and rock dance club hits including "Shoot You Down", "Rainy Day" and "Palace Filled with Love". Those tracks along with seven others were originally released on the collection Something To Believe In in 1985. This new revised LP adds the group's first single "Chain Reaction" to the set making this its vinyl re-release. The band has recently toured and will be promoting the set with a full publicity campaign. In Adam Horowitz "Beastie Boy Book" he described the APB song "I'd Like To Shoot You Down" as 'a punk dance-floor classic. Heavy Psych Sounds has decided to repress the APE Skull legendary debut album with brand new coloured versions !!! Ape Skull band formed in 2008. Giuliano Padroni (drums) and Fulvio Cartacci (guitar) decided to start a new project after several years touring Europe and US with their past bands: Victorians and Sciacalli. The band is closer to the compositions inspired by Rock Funk and Psych Rock American and European groups such as Alamo, Jerusalem, Damnation Of Adam Blessing, Cream etc.. The desire to reproduce the sounds that characterized 1969 to 1972, about a golden age for rock music, are the basic inputs of the band. Ape Skull, after a single recording session of songs, recorded a full lenght album composed by 8 unreleased Hard Rock gems and a cover of "I got no time" from Orange Peel (Germany) for Heavy Psych Sounds Records.

This single is a follow-up to their international critical-acclaimed debut album Esantronics, which was released in October 2019. The album was named Best Asian Album of 2019 by World Music Central. Apichat Pakwan is a Dutch-Thai band based in Amsterdam. Their music is a mix of morlam, electronic music, dub and hiphop. They perform with their own compositions, as well as with new interpretations of classic Thai and Lao folkmusic repertory. The music collective was founded in 2015 by Dutch musician Olivier Schreuder (electronics, compositions, traditional Thai instruments) and Thai musician Angkanang Pimwankum (percussion). They compose and perform with an alternating group of musicians from the Northeast region of Thailand, also known as Isan. The group was called "most innovative molam hybrid" by The Bangkok Post.

Canadian born, Berlin based producer Aquarian debuts on Dekmantel Records’ UFO imprint with Mutations I & II, a series of two EPs following his debut album The Snake That Eats Itself and his collaborative records as Aqxdm. Fast techno, hi-tek jazz, amphetamine-addled filter house and breakcore join the fray in Mutations II: Delicious Intent as he pushes intensity levels past breaking point. Whichever the touchstone, the results are clear: distinctly modern, highly-propulsive body music with an unapologetically emotive core.
