"Find Me Finding You" is the first album Sadier released as Laetitia Sadier Source Ensemble. French drummer Emmanuel Mario and Brazilian bassist Xavi Munoz, both of whom played on Sadier"s previous solo albums, are present throughout, as is David Thayer, the filmmaker and musician who co-ran the group Little Tornados with Sadier. Opener "Undying Love for Humanity" burbles with intertwining guitar lines, stuttering keyboard signatures, and bouncing vocal harmonies - it recalls French yé-yé 45s and the knotty exotica of the Free Design. The rest of the album is dotted lightly with krautrock droning, Latin percussion, and chiming twee. Sadier"s lyrical pattern continues on Find Me, as her lines revolve around tyrants, indoctrination, and states of conflict. This is what makes "Love Captive" stand out: a duet with Hot Chip"s Alexis Taylor.

Percussionist Pecker came to Jamaica in 1980 to reissue the Japanese DUB original work he created with The Wailers and Sly & Robbie!

Pecker Power, Japan's first dub album, was produced in 1980 by Pecker, a percussionist who created Japan's first salsa band, Orquesta del Sol. This stateless dub sound was born from sessions with The Wailers at Bob Marley's studio ``tuff Gong'' and sessions with Sly and Robbie at ``channel One'' and was titled ``21st Century Dub.'' A strange masterpiece that was distributed in the United States in 1987 and has since become known all over the world.

■Japanese dub originator Dub, which originated in Jamaica, was adopted by British rock bands such as The Clash and the Rolling Stones in 1980. Pecker produced this dub work around the same time. By the way, Mute Beat, known as Japan's first dub band, started their activities in 1982. This shows how advanced this work is.

■Authentic dub session This work is based on a session with The Wailers at the ``tuff Gong'' studio and a session with Sly & Robbie at the ``channel One'' studio. The former includes the rhythm section of the Barrett brothers from Aston and Carlton, Marcia Griffiths from I-3, Judy Mowat, and other fierce performers who supported Bob Marley's golden age. The latter was gaining momentum and popularity at the time, featuring an ironclad rhythm section of Sly Dunbar and Robbie Shakespeare, who were still in their 20s, and Augustus Pablo on piano. Additionally, Rico Rodriguez, the trombonist from The Specials, flew in from Berlin for both sessions. The two teams, who viewed each other as rivals at the time, competed with their high-potential performances, resulting in a miraculous recording that brought out their best performance.

■Started as a sequel to Katsumi Watanabe's album "kylyn" Initially, the plan was to record in New York as the second part of the ``kylyn'' session, but the core members, Kazumi Watanabe and Ryuichi Sakamoto, became busy, so the plan was changed to Jamaica recording as Pecker's solo work. In addition to Pecker, Minako Yoshida and Naoya Matsuoka will be traveling to Jamaica. The legendary session mentioned above was held. After returning to Japan, Kenji Omura's guitar was overdubbed at Columbia Studios.

■World-recognized DUB from Tokyo The album ``Pecker Power'' (released on July 25, 1980) and the 10-inch album ``Instant Rasta'' (released on September 25, 1980) that were completed in this way received high praise in some quarters, but their content was timeless. Perhaps because we were too proactive, it did not lead to sales. However, in 1987, a cassette was released under the title ``21st Century Dub'' by the New York label ``roir'', and the unique, stateless DUB received high praise. It was later released on CD in 1999 and became known to DUB enthusiasts around the world.

Basque artist Elena Setién shapes the ethereal into immediate on the stunningly pristine songs of Unfamiliar Minds. Elena Setién's chameleonic songcraft effortlessly bends songs into immersive realms. Her music illuminates the fragilities and ephemeral nature of life with exceptional poise. Beginning by acknowledging her insecurities and anxieties before reflecting on her time in denial and spent processing them in all the wrong ways, Amber eventually widens her focus by seeking answers to the world’s negativity and trauma on a cosmic scale. life and a renewed sense of self. Bézier returns to Dark Entries with Valencia, a six track rumination on memory, geography, and transmutation. Multi-instrumentalist Robert Yang’s Bézier project has appeared on Dark Entries many times over the last decade, most recently with the 2018 LP Parler Musique. Says Yang, “What started as a project to investigate the love of the sound and scenery while living in San Francisco quickly developed into a passionate search for interlocking melodies and driving rhythms.” On Valencia, Bézier invokes twinned places. The Valencia Street of San Francisco is channeled, which was the center of the city’s vibrant new wave scene in the 1980s. But also echoed is Valencia, Spain, and La Ruta del Bakalao aka La Ruta Destroy, the Spanish clubbing scene throughout the 80s and 90s famed for its aggressive and synthetic sounds. Valencia is a darker record for Yang, exploring themes of submission and catharsis with nods to SF’s gay leather bars of the 70s and 80s. The high BPM salvos of “Valencia” and “Scrupulous” capture the frantic energy of Bakalao and Valencian wave acts like Última Emoción. Elsewhere Yang mines the dreamy space disco and Hi-NRG sounds they’re known for, like on the brooding “Past the Marshes” or the anthemic “Reservoir”, which features their partner Len.Leo on vocals. Bézier deftly navigates past and present, light and dark, pain and pleasure, the stasis of memory and the flux of time. Valencia was mastered by Alex Michalski, with EQ for vinyl done by George Horn. Gwenaël Rattke designed the sleeve, which features an 80’s punk zine-esque geometric grid pattern mirroring San Francisco street maps. Also included is a 5x7 postcard with notes.

Though Emily Moales first envisioned "Camelot" as a way to escape her reality, the record equally provided a way to address it head on. As a prime example, album highlight “Not My Heart” takes a tale of unrequited love on a Casiotone waltz before bursting into a classic AM pop jangle, the imagery of Camelot swirling through the mix like a fluttering banner. Bitchcraft was born in a move from New York City, where Bitch had lived for 15 years, to a log cabin in the woods. There was all the time in the world to make art, and it was there, in the cabin, that Bitch began to write some of the songs that would appear on Bitchcraft. 'It gave me space to think about the biggest version of myself that I could be,' she says of those early days in the cabin. The songs she wrote were a departure from anything she'd ever written before, and she began to craft huge pop tracks with the help of her trusty violin. Then, she moved to LA and Bitchcraft began to shapeshift again.

In the time that followed, Bitch assembled a coven to complete it. She called on Anne Preven (Beyonce, Madonna, Demi Lovato) and God-des who helped her crystalize her vision in terms of writing and production. She called on Roma Baran (Laurie Anderson) to produce the violins on 'Polar Bear.' She called on Melissa York (Team Dresch, The Butchies) and Faith Soloway (Transparent) to co-write a couple of the songs.

The resulting record is one that is full of glorious pop tracks that go in unexpected directions. Bitchcraft is like Joni Mitchell set to a click track, it's queer Cyndi Lauper. It's neon pink, in your face, ready to hex you with its brilliance. It's an unbelievably fun record that is extremely capable of breaking your heart a little bit. It also makes you think: about the state of the world, about evil politicians, about what it means to exist as a woman, and how to find joy along the way.

After a quarter century of nearly nonstop activity, dystopian Detroit synth-punk institution Adult. have perfected a strain of stylistic cohesion in the album format, "but for this we wanted something that's falling apart." Becoming Undone, the 9th official full-length by cofounders Nicola Kuperus and Adam Lee Miller, explicitly succeeds in this aim, simultaneously rejecting and reflecting the planetary discord that inspired it. Begun in the latter half of 2020 against a backdrop of unprecedented flux and seismic isolation, the duo kickstarted their muse by sourcing fresh additions to the rig: a vocal loop pedal for Kuperus and Roland percussion pads for Miller. Reconnecting with legacy influences like the politicized industrial percussion of Test Department and the queasy miscreant synthetics of TG's 20 Jazz Funk Greats sparked a series of fruitfully frenetic sessions, centered on themes of impermanence and dissonance. Miller's rationale is blunt: "We weren't interested in melody or harmony since we didn't see the world having that." From the tense technoid blitz of "Undoing / Undone" to the twitchy EBM of "Fools (We Are_)" and "I Am Nothing," the sides bristle with strident acidic revolt and black leather sequential circuits, unhinged and unforgiving. Elsewhere, slower tempos of purgatorial unraveling ("Normative Sludge," "She's Nice Looking") showcase a breadth of vocal FX, Kuperus sounding alternately indignant and possessed, decrying the crimes, fears, and failings of a deluded world. Throughout, the band's chemistry crackles with revulsion and strobe-lit dissent, equal parts exorcism and denunciation. "Humans have always been pretty terrible," Kuperus explains. "But every year the compromises of culture just accelerate." Becoming Undone is also freighted with a more personal pain, as Kuperus' father passed away during the height of the pandemic, just before the album took root. As his hospice caretakers, she and Miller faced the banality of finality, surrounded by objects drained of meaning, "the joy of having a body, but also the drudgery of having one." The record's bewitching closing track, "Teeth Out Pt. II" - which happens to be the first Adult. song in the group's history without drums - speaks to this sense of doomed corporeal mass and the looming, lightless unknown that binds us all. A seasick haze swells and subsides in slow, low waves, flickering with ring modulation, above which Kuperus sings in a dazed, brooding, transcendent state, as if having finally glimpsed beyond the pale: "Some day / some day I will be silent and free / of this relentless gravity."
