How could we talk about Kavinsky without evoking the movie that introduced his music to the general public? Dazzling success of the independant film industry of the last decade, "Drive" is the kind of movies in which the soundtrack takes a front seat role. As in his previous realisations, Nicolas Winding Refn took great care, with the help of Cliff Martinez (former drummer of the Red Hot Chili Peppers) to select the tracks that would feature in his latest movie. It's in this way he picked Nightcall for the opening scene, and we soon cannot tell anymore if the music responds to the picture or the contrary.

Kavinsky's long-awaited debut album Outrun features 13 tracks, including 8 previously unreleased and some reworks. From the first notes, we can hear Paul Hahn (manager of Daft Punk) recounting an introduction to the adventures of Kavinsky. Warm and electric, Blizzard makes its entrance and sets the tone before allowing ProtoVision to take its place, which with its nervous and synthetic melody was the first excerpt of Outrun that whas released on an EP. Then arrives Odd Look, the first vocal song of the record, which unveils a mysterious funky voice that can remind the groove of Marvin Gaye or Prince. It's then Rampage‘s turn to take us with its menacing orchestral atmosphere like in Dragon Ball Z ; after what comes the persuasive beat of Suburbia on which notorious Havoc from Mobb Deep lent his voice. The upgraded version of Testarossa Autodrive confirms the efficacity of this unstoppable melody, and it's at this point we find Nightcall again, the famous ballad produced by Guy-Manuel from Daft Punk and featuring Lovefoxxx from CSS. Dead Cruiser arrives then, muscled yet melancholic, followed by Grand Canyon which takes us with its electrical ritournelle. The voice of Tyson, the funk revelation from UK, transformed the instrumental First Blood into a génuine hit. The rythmic and melodious Roadgame leads us to Endless, which gently closes this long-awaited revealing first opus, with as a conclusion a narrated epilogue by Paul Hahn again...

The song was produced by Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and mixed by SebastiAn. The remix of this song, by a mysterious Dustin N?guyen, is an outstanding pop song that everyone can enjoy. On the other side, Kavinsky has produced the fantastic 'Pacific Coast Highway', in which we follow a ghostcar on the highway. The remix job is by French avant-garde producer Jackson. His epic 9 minute long version is unmissable!

Kavinsky is a zombie who came back from the dead after his Testarossa crashed in 1986.

His first song, "Testarossa Autodrive", was an instant success, and was followed by two singles. In 2007, he was chosen by Daft Punk to open their now legendary "Alive" tour.

In 2011, his track "Nightcall", produced with Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, became the theme song for the film "Drive", and consequently a worldwide success.

Kavinsky's first album, "Outrun", was released in 2013, followed by a collaboration with The Weeknd on the song "Odd Look".

Under his real name Gerald Donald, Arpanet is a man-machine from Detroit fond of science with multiple identities:Glass Domain, Heinrich Mueller, also part of Drexciya, and Dopplereffekt. Since Sessions (2006), the first time he covered his own repertoire, Sebastien experienced an international success with Sexuality, and released the great epics of My God Is Blue and L’Aventura, and the bustle of his new role as a father with Domesticated. His new album Simple Mind is a lush though very minimalistic resume of some of his most beautiful compositions ; a classic live-recorded album where old and more recent songs will find a confined listener caught in a wave of domestic bliss. « Simple Mind is a total rebirth for my music. Since their signature on Record Makers in 2005, Hypnolove have never followed any rules and made everything possible to make their fans dance, with no disregard for 80's pop music, considered at the time far too cheesy.Eurodance, italo, sweet & space disco, boogie-funk: all these styles and subgenres that have somehow become respectable and craved by diggers today are part of Hypnolove's sound.

His deviant disco songs talk about love and the happiness it breeds, while letting the rage of a rather different-looking militant crooner go.

The release comes with a download code. Betbeder, asked Sebastien Tellier to compose the music of his new film, "Marie et les naufragés" (Translated: "Marie and The Castaways"). For this score, Tellier chose a retro-futuristic electronic path in the tradition of Giorgio Moroder's music in keeping with the with free and off-the-beaten path tone of this film starring Eric Cantona. With the help of friend and fellow musician John Kirby, Sebastien has diffused film‘s languid themes with tributes to Marvin Gaye or to Ennio Morricone.

L'Aventura arose from the Brazilian heat and the French romanticism. This is the history of Sebastien Tellier’s fantasy childhood in Brazil, arranged by the local cult figure Arthur Verocai. A wild mixture of love, dreams, sun and landscapes.

The recording produced by the artist took place between Paris and Rio de Janeiro during the year 2013. These adventures brought him into Jean-Michel Jarre’s, Bernard Estardy’s, and Philippe Zdar’s (Cassius/Phoenix) studios.

L’Aventura is a record of shores stretching in an everlasting restart. Naive art carried by an openheart and childish vision of the creation, close to his classic Sexuality (2008).

Blasé is going to release his debut album "BLABLABLA" on March 14, an album that stands as a personal manifesto of his sonic obsessions that open up almost as many ways: 15 original tracks in search of groove.

Thanks to his ears educated on radios and charts from across the Atlantic, he honors this generous vision of pop that encompasses old school hip-hop, R&B, jazz, funk, disco and new-wave, and navigates between different styles in the manner of American artists. Some tracks are in French when others are in English, and feature the singer Anna Majidson, the rappers Jwles and Valee, and the late Oxnard-born Cola Boyy. Thus, on "BLABLABLA" we go from a studio haunted by Quincy Jones to a cellar where The Cure rehearses "Boys Don't Cry"...

Blasé is a French-American pop artist, composer, arranger, producer, singer and author. Since his childhood and teenage years in New York, he has experimented and nourished a sound between 70s rock, electronic music, disco and hiphop. His American musical baggage in hand, he moves to Paris and starts his first band, Haute, with Anna Majidson. A first hit will be born out of their collaboration, “Shut Me Down”, whose Colors session accumulates more than 30 million views on YouTube.

After this first success, and following numerous collaborations with various artists such as Agoria, DJ Pone, Lala&ce, Niro or Jwles, Blasé has now his own signature sound. Considered an alien by his peers, his first EP “Pourquoi Blasé?” released in 2023 on French cult label Record Makers (Kavinsky, Cola Boyy, Sebastien Tellier…) demonstrates his unique talent for blending Chic, The Strokes and Manu Chao.

To mark the 20th anniversary of the release of this cult album, Record Makers is reissuing a special limited edition (clear vinyls – 500 copies) that will rekindle the flame of long-time fans, new fans and collectors.

Spotted by French label Record Makers (Sébastien Tellier, Kavinsky, AIR, Cola Boyy) with his 2017 “Dessous de plage” first EP, nit has since grown from funky DIY library music to a lush and complex groovy sound. The magic of this debut album “Big Bang Puzzle” is a keen sense of composition and an innate affinity for 90’s European electronica.

It’s a playful album, the work of an artist at the peak of his craft, determined to twist styles and references (Daft Punk, Ennio Morricone, Robert Miles, Vangelis...) in order to give them a new form.

“Big Bang Puzzle” is a tangle of psychedelic and cartoon-esque pieces, an abstract modernist painting of sounds inspired by vintage pop music. The cover, created by Swiss artist Flora Mottini, offers a first glimpse of his brand new universe.

But it’s also by collaborating with French iconic design studio H5 that nit suddenly enters the French Touch genealogy. nit takes the shape of an n that grows legs and arms to become a cheeky cartoon character traveling through a real space-time continuum. Parisian H5 studio has been involved since the end of the ‘90s in the design of strong visual concepts for French Touch’s elite (Etienne de Crécy, AIR, Mirwais). French music at its best from which nit is a direct descendant. And one who expands and opens even further: pop, italo-disco, trip-hop impulses, Morriconian cavalcades, lo-fi aesthetics, Caribbean music. Producer and mixer Lucien Krampf (Oklou, Ascendant Vierge, Casual Gabberz, Crystallmess) was the person in charge of mixing this ambitious record.

nit is both a question and an answer, and a musical enigma that pushes us to explore the far reaches of our imagination…
