This is already the third album of Ghosts Of Jupiter from Boston/USA, but the first one that will be available on vinyl.

With the much anticipated follow up to their critically acclaimed 2016 release “The Great Bright Horses,” the Boston based neo psychedelic-rock outfit led by singer/composer and multi-instrumentalist Nate Wilson return with a sharply honed expansion on their varied sound - running the musical gamut between pastoral acid-tinged folk, mellotron and flute-laden prog explorations, ethereal vocal melodies steeped in lyrical mysticism, combined with a menacing dose of saucerful of secrets era Pink Floyd. The ten songs featured on “Keepers of the Newborn Green” were mixed and engineered by Ghosts of Jupiter’s bassist Thomas Lada, utilizing the band’s mobile and home recording equipment during 2020’s pandemic. GoJ’s drummer Tom Arey (Peter Wolf, J. Geils Band) supplied the basic tracks at the band’s studio in Allston MA, and all other elements were compiled remotely. Guitarist Adam Terrell recorded most of his parts from his home studio in VA, while Wilson worked on vocals, keyboards, guitar and flute tracks at his home in Worcester, MA. Thematically the album reflects some of the unavoidable political upheaval of the past few years, in particular the 2nd track “Villians” juxtaposes earthy medieval folk sounds with a critique of the toxic segmented realities created by modern media. Other songs on the album, in particular “Imperium Waves,” and “On Bending Tides,” reflect the emotionally cathartic side effects that were born of the interruptions of our daily lives caused by the events of 2020. Track 7 “Sea of Madness” examines the influence of conspiracy theories, misinformation and anti-science sentiment that has made its way to the forefront of modern culture in recent years. Since forming in 2011, Ghosts of Jupiter have released 2 full-length albums, and an EP. In 2012 the band teamed up with Boston’s Museum of Science to create Ghosts of Jupiter: Music Experience, a music and animation project that recalled the laser-light shows of classic rock’s yesteryear. The show ran for over a year at the Charles Haydyn Planetarium an was featured at planetarium festivals in Auckland, NZ and Boulder, CO. The band has appeared live with Blue Oyster Cult, moe., Robert Randolph, Dead Meadow and the Buffalo Killers.

Djiin is a psychedelic stoner-rock band whose name is inspired by spirits and other beasts of the semitic beliefs and traditions. Influenced by 70’s progressive rock and krautrock bands, doom scene and heavy rock from the glory days of the early Sabbath era, as well as other modern references based on the diversity between western and traditional eastern sonorities, Djiin develops a personal, atypical and captivating universe. Composed for four years by a guitar, a bass, drums, and led by an powerful, charismatic and low-voiced female singer and harpist, the band comes out with its powerful and fuzzy riffs, its twisted beats, its psychedelic melodies and its vocal incantations for a transcendent rendering. A real evasion invitation. The use of the electric harp in this “classic“ rock line-up gives unique and surprising sonorities that accentuate theband’s mystic and ritualistic universe.

This album presents the story of a tortured-mind being and his evil fiends. The listener is going through a trip where he/she will meet many characters and will be surrounded sometimes by dark and frozen landscapes, other times by a hot and mesmerizing desert, or otherwise by oppressing and sensual places. All these elements are sailing on various musical influences.

After their excellent debut, here's a new EP to shorten the wait for a new album. The four tracks are deeper than on the debut album. To ensure an excellent sound quality the EP is pressed with 45rpm. “tilsim” is the light that guides us in our most desperate moments, the gem that shines within us despite the darkness, the guide in the journey to the most remote places, the place where reality and imagination meet, the new stop of Congulus in their inner journey.

This EP is dedicated to the memory of musicians who had to end their lives in the pandemic, and everyone who has fought for science, art, philosophy and humanity throughout history.

The psychedelic rock trio named after Anatolian folk stories was founded in 2016 in Istanbul by Cihan Önder on guitars and synthesizer, Emre Açıkgöz on bass guitar and Tayfun Gür on drums. Bringing Anatolian motifs together with psychedelic elements, the band enjoys multiple partition compositions, extensive drones and fluid riffs taking the listener on an eclectic journey. The band’s stage performances invite the audience to a dynamic atmosphere with experimental multi-layered themes, live loops and hypnotic visuals. Congulus released an eight-track demo titled “Kış Ayının Kabusu” and an online video series “Demirci Sessions” in 2017. The band released its debut album “Bozkır” in 2019 and signed with Nasoni Records Berlin to release “Bozkır” as DLP with two bonus tracks. The band released two digital singles, “Meteoroid” in 2019 and “Karakura” in 2020. The current lineup was formed with Fatih Can Oklay joining the band as bass player.
