Third World WAR vocalist/chopper guitarist Terry STAMP’s criminally obscure and exceptionally brilliant debut solo album is back in print for the first time since 1975. Recorded in October 1974, about 15 months after his previous outfit, Third World War, finally called it a day. Terry is backed by a killer crew of ringers consisting of his old TWW cohort, bassist JIM Avery (ex-THE Attack, Thunderclap Newman), in addition to lead guitarist Ollie Halsall (timebox, Patto, Boxer), pianist Mike Moran (david Bowie) and the latter-day T. REX rhythm section with Herbie Flowers (he of "Walk On The Wild Side" bass line fame) and drummer Tony Newman (sounds Incorporated). This album didn't have much of a chance upon its original release in July 1975: no promotion, no label support, and Terry had already bailed the UK for the greener pastures of America by the time it was released. This album is another case of Just Add Water Records having the chance to right history's wrongs by shining a light on a very deserving release that was literally ignored/shunned upon its initial release. We also changed the running order, because the original one is baffling at best and Terry didn't agree with it. It flows much better now. Opening track, "Itchy Feet", wasn't even supposed to end up on the finished album as it was deemed a bit too raw for the label's taste. It was eventually tucked away as the last track on the original album. What you are hearing is literally a live run-through with what were intended to be scratch vocals, that's why you hear Terry shouting instructions like "Bridge!" and "Solo!" to indicate where the changes are. Ollie Halsall was indeed that great of a guitarist to make up a solo like that on the fly. As the story goes, first there was Hendrix, but Ollie wasn't too far behind. Just when you think the song is finished, Ollie calls out, "Again. Yeah, yeah!" and launches into another blazing solo and uses what must be every note on his entire fret board. Just as in his days with Third World War Terry isn't beholden to any one style. This album has it all—from pub rocker "Motor Head", the boozy plaintive cry of "Town Drunk", to Terry's best ballad this side of “Stardom Road Part 1”- the closing title track, “Fatsticks”. This album is firmly in our all-time Top Ten and will soon be in yours. Liner notes by Terry himself!

Available again for the first time in 51 years. This banger has been in our DJ box for many years. First issued by our all-time favorite label, President Records in 1972, this was Things Fall APART's one and only release. Contrary to speculation, The Equals nor Eddy Grant had anything to do with this record despite it sounding very much like The Equals circa "Stand Up And Be Counted." Both songs were written and sang by Ralph ADU. Mind the fuzz! Remastered by Sean M. LENNONstraight from the original master tapes from the President Records archive. Edition of 200 copies on black vinyl.

50th Anniversary Edition of this touchstone of Aussie Rock n Roll. This 1973 LP should need no introduction. Just in case it does, it's simply one of the finest albums to ever come out of Australia. Coloured Balls are the godfathers of Aussie punk, hard rock, psychedelic boogie, etc. They played too many different styles to be just any one thing. Lobby, Bobsie, Trevor, and Janis created something very special with this album and it sounds as fresh and vital as the date it was originally released.

This pressing has been painstakingly sourced directly from the 1973 quarter inch mix-down master tapes and sounds incredible. This has been an entirely analog production chain and hasn't been touched by a computer at any stage of the process. Hear Coloured Balls as nature intended.

Every copy includes bonus poster!

Edition of 800 copies on black vinyl.

The second and final installment in our Hector reissue campaign. After their stunning debut failed to chart, surely the public would picked up on the even catchier 1974 follow-up, "Bye Bye Bad Days," a song for the Covid era we now inhabit if ever there was one. Nope. Never fear, we're doing what we always do, shining a light on an overlooked gem that deserves heard again. Hector came and went and left us two utterly perfect singles, and for that, we forever grateful. Remastered with a huge sonic improvement over the original 1974 pressing which was very noisy."

It's a dream to release not one, but both iconic singles by Junkshop glam titans Hector. First up is their debut from '73, "Wired Up." In a perfect world, this would have topped the charts and The Osmonds would have struggling to make ends meet. Alas, it is a well known fact that quality cannot be shoved down the public's throat. In spite of loads of coverage in the teen mags and even TV appearances—fame and fortune were not in the cards for Hector. "Wired Up" goes for the jugular from the get-go with that throbbing single note riff pulverizing your senses. How can a song this incredibly catchy not be a smash? Politics, and the fickle whims of the BBC, who never gave the record a chance. See Trevor White's masterpiece "Crazy Kids" for another sterling example that the world isn't fair. Here it is available again for the first time since 1973 in it's original format, our fave, the almighty 7" 45 rpm single. Enjoy, true believers. Remastered and sounding better than the original 1973 pressing which was honestly noisy and not perfect."

Back with a bang! The new single from Oakland's only rock n roll band. This comes hot on the heels of their triumphant return to Gonerfest. SO What picks up right where they left off with their previous "Deep Freeze" single, another banger inspired by 70s Aussie Rock a la Bon Scott-era Ac/dc and Coloured Balls. The lads even offered 'Hit The Bricks" to Ac/dc, but they passed, saying, "No mates, it's simply too good. Everyone will know we didn't write it." Real rock n roll for real rock n roll people.

Heavy 1974 Junkshop Glam cruncher “Gang Man” available again for the first time in nearly 50 years. B-side is the unreleased original version entitled “Gang Bang” with the tawdry lyrics that could not be released in any way, shape or form back in the 70s. We’re doing a deeper dive into fave Lobby LOYDE’s oveure. “Do You Believe In Magic” is obviously not the famous hit by The Lovin’ Spoonful. It is a Lobby original and was in fact one of the earliest Coloured Balls tunes dating from early ‘72. The ‘Balls never ended up recording it. A few months after their split in early ‘75, Lobby recorded it with him on lead vocals, guitar, bass, keyboards, Jimmy Thompson (ex- Vince Maloney Sect, Tony Worley & The Blue Jays and Billy Thorpe & The Aztecs on drums, plus Paul Dixson on sax. This single was issued in December 1975 on the Bootleg label and has never been reissued before. It is an honor and pleasure to keep Lobby’s music alive. Edition of 400 copies on black vinyl.

Sharpie faves FAT Daddy formed in Melbourne in 1974. “We were anti the whole pretty boy/satin/Sherbert thing. We wanted to be the ugliest band in the world.” - guitarist/vocalist Max Vella. We’re reissuing another killer single from the 70s Aussie label, Bootleg Records. This is right up there with peak Boogie-era Status QUO, whom they toured OZ with in '76. What a strutting belter this is. This was originally released in 1975 and this very tough-to-find single never been reissued before. Edition of 300 on black vinyl.

Unreleased junkshop glam! It’s been a long, long time since we’ve released a split 7”. There’s an extremely good reason for this being a split 7”. These are are the only known songs by each of these groups. Both are Junkshop Glam sourced straight from the only known acetates from circa '74. Restored and mastered by Danilo Silvestri (Giuda). Snooty sounds a bit like a mashup of Harpo's “Teenage Queen” and Muff's “Sexy Lady”, while the flip side reminds us a bit of Pantherman vocal-wise. Mega thanks to mega glam collectors Tim Orchard and Noah Wallace for their assistance on this project.

There’s “obscure” and then there’s this record. This is simply Rockin’ Horse, featuring gods Jimmy Campbell and Billy Kinksley, recording under a different name. Their incredible Yes It Is LP completely flopped in 1971 and their label, Phillips Records, just didn’t want to know. They were still under contract as Rockin’ Horse so they got around that by releasing this single as "atlantis" on their producer HAL CARTER's Fury label in 1972. They should have sold these songs to John Lennon because this smokes anything he was doing at the time yet sounds eerily just like him. Available for the first time since 1972. Edition of 300 copies.

Heavy Metal Kid was the last album Coloured Balls recorded during their all too brief three-year existence. It's often overlooked due to the enormous impact and success their preceding album Ball Power had on Australian music. Coming into 1974, they were at the peak of their powers as a group. Ball Power was racing up the charts, they were one of Australia's biggest live draws and they made a triumphant return to the Sunbury festival stage. Heavy Metal Kid was a natural progression for the band that could not be pigeonholed. They were still bringing their unique mix of proto punk, hard rock, blues, space rock, progressive and 50s rock n roll, but they expanded their sonic palette to include even a piano ballad and spaced-out ARP synthesizers. Fun fact- Lobby Loyde, in addition to being an absolutely stunning guitarist, was a classically trained pianist. Each copy comes with both a poster and lyric insert.

This is the first time this album was been released in America. This pressing has been painstakingly sourced directly from the original 1974 quarter inch mix-down master tapes and sounds incredible. This has been an entirely analog production chain and hasn't been touched by a computer at any stage of the process. Hear Coloured Balls as were meant to be heard.
