The Casio CA-53 is a dedication to the Casio Mini, the world's first pocket calculator. The unique design of its display combines an LCD screen and a full calculator-style keyboard, and draws on the design motifs of the Casio Mini introduced in 1972. The display of the Casio CA-53 uses green text on a negative LCD, and the keyboard uses the font of the original, with each key separated. The use of red for the mode indicator in the upper right corner is reminiscent of the calculator's power indicator.

In addition to a calculator function that can add, subtract, multiply, and divide up to eight digits, the Casio CA-53 also features a dual time function, a stopwatch, an alarm, and more. The band is made of bio-based resin, which is designed to help reduce environmental impact.

• Second time zone: A second local time can be set and called up. Ideal if you often make overseas calls, for example.
• Stop function - 1/100 sec. - 24 h: For athletes and all those who want to know exactly: Elapsed time, split time and final time are measured with an accuracy of hundredths of a second. The watch has a measuring capacity of up to 24 hours.
• Daily alarm: The daily alarm reminds you of recurring daily events and sounds an acoustic signal at the set time.
• Automatic calendar with date, month and weekday: Once set, the automatic calendar always shows the correct date.
• 12-/24-hour format: The time display can be set to either 12- or 24-hour format. In 12-hour mode, a "p" in the display stands for the second half of the day, i.e. 12 noon to 11.59 pm.
• Acrylic glass: The acrylic glass is light and relatively unbreakable.
• Resin case: The resin case is the ideal companion for everyday use. It is robust, very light and relatively unaffected by cold, heat or other external influences.
• Resin bracelet: Resin is made of synthetic resin and is the ideal material for bracelets due to its extreme durability and flexibility.
