With the album "This Toilet Earth", Gwar caused a lot of attention. They wrote the song "BDF", which was so disgusting that it has been banned to this day! As a result, GWAR had to leave their former label Priority Records. Fortunately, the masters of disgusting metal were welcomed with open arms in their old home, Metal Blade Records, and the band hardly missed a beat that didn't cause a stir.

On this 1994 album, the mothers of scatological inventions add a dash of stop-and-go funk to their attack. Faith No More and Zappa-like soundscapes allow tracks like "Pepperoni" to expand beyond Gwar's traditional realm of bad metal.

Vocalist Oderous Urungus's voice sounds more confident than on previous work - no doubt due to years of touring and recording - and his bandmates hold themselves to their own low standards.

Critical listeners should not take “This Toilet Earth” or any other release from the most disgusting fun band in the world seriously.

After a long time of waiting, it is now time to re-release this divine album and this time give the listener a visual feast.

The new edition will be released in an EU version limited to 100 copies via Noisy Plastics Records and contains a brown opaque liquid which turns into a blue liquid when illuminated with UV light.

The idea behind this effect is to combine the dirt of society with the water of the earth. We think we have succeeded quite well with this effect.

On their sixth studio album, Ice-T's Body Count continue to celebrate their explosive mix of gangster rap and metal guitars. A style that they have refined technically over the years and has now reached a peak of heaviness. With the cover of "Raining Blood/Postmortem" from Slayer, even the last of the skeptics could give it a massive shout-out. In the game since 1987, Ice-T is an absolute institution when it comes to lyrics and performance. On Bloodlust he shouts like never before, and there are plenty of reasons for this considering the content of the lyrics. Body Count have always been political and critical, but current events have left little room for their usual self-irony on this album. As it is expected from a band like Body Count, the album features lots of special guests. You can hear Randy Blythe (Lamb of God), Max Cavalera (Soulfly) and the guitar solo on "Civil War" comes from Megadeth's Dave Mustaine!

It was 1992 when a hardcore band was formed in the tranquil town of Kassel: The Ryker's were born. A name that, even decades later (!), is familiar to anyone who is even remotely familiar with hardcore in general and the scene in Germany and Europe in particular. There was no getting around them, especially in the 90s. Massively influenced by the sound of the Cro-Mags, Agnostic Front and Sick of it All, the Ryker's gradually gained a foothold on larger stages in clubs and at festivals.

After the 1995 album First Blood, Germany was covered in dark blue hoodies with the Brother Against Brother print. Everyone knew the band. After various singles and LPs, a real masterpiece of an album was released in 1999: "Life's A Gamble... And So Is Death". The band was technically at their peak and in top form, with ultra-brutal groove, hard metal guitars and a really strong drumming that sets the pace for hard pits. Add to that the distinctive, deep and ultra-angry voice of Kid D. - to this day rarely achieved by other shouters. "Life's A Gamble" was released on Century Media Records, the only right step after the relevant experience with a major label. The label, which was still manageable at the time compared to today, offered the band exactly the right platform for this smash album. 18 songs, including 3 brilliant cover versions, make up a whopping 49 minutes. Almost an epic by HC standards. All killers – no fillers.

Of course there was also a vinyl version in 1999. This is now a sought-after rarity and has never been re-pressed. Why not? Well, then Noisy Plastics Records and Backbite Records are taking over at this point and are finally presenting you with a vinyl repress of this milestone almost 25 years later. The record will be released on December 20th, 2024 and collectors can look forward to chic colored vinyl editions and the legendary liquid-filled vinyl from “ Vinyl Manufaktur ”. This reissue was created under license from Century Media Records and in collaboration with the band.

For us, Nico and Mo, it's a real matter of the heart. Working on a repress of such a legendary LP is simply the best job in the world. 'nuf said.

Like the previous album, the seventh studio album by the rap-metal band fronted by Ice-T is much heavier musically than their early records and is packed with Slayer-like guitar riffs. When it comes to lyrics, provocation and politically incorrect remarks are always on the agenda. But on this album, Ice-T is far more explicit and angry, covering a wide range of topics like black-on-black crime, police violence, gang culture etc. That's how Body Count have always been and that's unlikely to change.
