Robb Weir, Tygers of Pan Tang founder and keeper of the flame, was at a cross roads. He had tried to keep the Tygers alive with differing lineups but now he was in the position of seeing his hopes dissolve completely as the band were unable to find just the right vocalist. He was determined to give it one more chance and the band cast around for a new front man. He knew that this was possibly his last chance. Enter Jack Meille, resident of Florence and possessor of a set of pipes that could notonly do justice to the Tygers back catalogue, but crucially, create the hard rock melodies essential to the band’s sound for the future. There was always something about that original release though that bothered the band: the sleeve. It was felt that it didn’t do the band justice. Step in Andy Pilkington, responsible for the last two Tygers albums’ covers. He was asked to create a cover that would sit happily alongside the quality seen in other Tygersalbum sleeves. They also felt that the sound required a new mix and called upon the services of trusted friend and producer Marco Angioni to add the necessary sheen to an already fine sounding album. A bonus track, “Don’t Say Rock’n’Roll Is Gonna Die” has also been added to the re-issue. 1. Rock Candy2. Cry Sweet Freedom3. Live For The Day4. Let It Burn5. If You See Kay6. Hot Blooded7. Devils Find A Fool8. Winners and Losers9. Cruisin’10. Bury The Hatchet11. Dark Rider12. Don’t Say R’n’R Is Gonna Die (bonus track)

Detest has returned stronger than ever with their latest release “A World Drowning in Detest”, a relentless assault that pushes the boundaries of death metal. This album marks a new era for the band, as they channel raw aggression, seasoned craftsmanship, and a renewed love for their craft into every note. On this record, the Danes are marching forward with a newfound sense of purpose and determination, leaving no stone unturned in their quest to find all in the extreme metal landscape.Unleashed creativity: free from creative limitations, John Petersen has poured everything into this record. The band’s compositions are more intricate, the guitar work more experimental, and the overall sound bolder and more expansive. Also, “A World Drowning In Detest” outpours dynamic, energetic performances; The interplay between Jesper’s drumming and Anders’ guitar work creates a musical landscape that is both raw and refined, making every track a ferocious yet tight execution of death metal mastery. While the new Detest effort carries the brutal, uncompromising sound fans expect, it also introduces fresh elements that push the boundaries of the genre. It’s an evolution for the band that will appeal to both long-time followers and new listeners alike. Truly, old-school meets new blood.Detest is not just back—they’re ready to conquer and they’re a battle-ready band. As they prepare to unleash “A World Drowning in Detest”, they do so with a sharpened edge and the drive to fight with everything they’ve got. This album is a battle cry for a band that has found new life and strength, ready to take on the world. 1. It’s Over2. Drowning In Detest3. Bullet Rain4. Misery Stand In Line5. F.Y.M.M.F.6. In November 2022, Danish Maceration released their new album “It Never Ends...” with death metal legend Dan Swanö – Edge Of Sanity, Bloodbath etc. – on vocals. This was 30 years after their 1992 album “A Serenade Of Agony” was released. Also with Dan Swanö on vocals and members from Invocator. The Danish band played a central role in the Danish death metal scene and were among the pioneers of the style in Denmark. With a comeback album 30 years after the debut, there has been great interest in the resurrected band. Maceration has received massive press coverage in the largest media within the metal genre both in Denmark and abroad. With the great success of the comeback album, it is now time for a new Maceration album. The band’s third album “Serpent Devourment” will be released on 31 January 2025. Again, Dan Swanö has played an important role in the creation as producer and the man behind the mix in his Unisound studio. But this time he has not recorded the vocals. Maceration’s regular lead singer Jan Bergmann Jepsen (ex. Cor Vacante) has done the recording duties and he leaves no doubt after he has taken over the vocals on the new recordings. Jan Bergmann has been with Maceration live since the resurrection in 2022 and on some tracks on “It Never Ends” in a duet with Swanö, but now he is alone at the front. With a deep, growling and brutal vocal style, he is the perfect successor to Swanö and he carves this into stone on the new album.Ten brand new tracks are what will be served on “Serpent Devourment”. Brutality, speed and heaviness are the key words for all tracks, but also melody and catchy riffs and choruses characterize Maceration’s tracks as always. This applies to the heavy riffs in the title track and “Where Leeches Thrive” and the fast easily recognizable themes in “The Den of Misery” or the triplet based aggressive main riff in “A Corrosive Heart Fell Below”.The whole new album is a varied creature, with fast death metal attacks like “The Suffering” and “For The End Alone” over heavy “Revolt The Tyrant Dream”, “In Rot Unleashed” or “Emptiness Embraced”. Fans of Maceration will nod in recognition to the band’s hallmarks and style, while new listeners will be embraced by stylish, brutal and aggressive old school death metal that has references back to the forefathers of death metal and also from the members’ previous bands such as Invocator, Spectral Mortuary and Corpus Mortale. 1. Serpent Devourment2. The Den Of Misery3. A Corrosive Heart Fell Below4. Where Leeches Thrive5. The Suffering6. Emptiness Embraced7. When Torment Befell My Pain8. In Rot Unleashed9. Revolt The Tyrant Dream10. For The End Alone

Scandinavian death metal band Thorium strikes back with a vengeance. New album “The Bastard” to be unleashed. Their 6th album since the formation in 1997.“It wasn’t in the cards, but in Spring this year I felt incredibly inspired to write an album that would go back to the very beginning of Thorium. Make the album that was the natural follow up from our debut album – or actually go even further back and make an album that was supposed to be our actual debut album. At least in my head. When we played in South America at Septembro Negro Festival in September last year I meet up with my old friend Martin Schulmann (Centinex and Demonical) and that sort of triggered something in me. Martin was a part of the original Thorium line-up. And so was Jonas Lindblood from Taetre (now Puteraeon) who I have kept in touch with during the years. So I was like. Fuck it. Let’s make “The Bastard” album – the original debut album from Thorium”, Thorium-founding MHA says. 1. Eclipsed2. Over The Mountains3. Nightside Serenade4. Pest5. Not Equals6. It All Comes Back To Me Now7. Underground8. Infamy9. Legacy Of The Forgotten Path10. Mesmerize (bonus track)

With lyrics that depict the apocalyptic, and desolate nature of denomination, Tardus Mortem take the listener into a bleak and dismal existence depicting human and godly atrocities, in the form of Jehovah witness apocalyptic prophecies. This is the essence of Tardus Mortem’s debut album. The band dives down even further into the abyss of cacophony to create sepulchral hymns of desolation and the most desolate and apocalyptic record possible. “Engulfed in Pestilent Darkness” was originally released in a limited cassette tape edition in 2019 and quickly spread into the underground like the foulest fumes. Now, the cult gets a new chapter by being released on very limited LP (only 100 copies). Tardus Mortem is a Blackened-Death metal band from funen Denmark, which sole purpose is suffocating the listener in ominous tales of Christ and providence by using their instruments to create morbid melodies enchanting the impending Armageddon. The band consists of Dennis Strømberg, age 20 (ex-Black Tritonus ex-Human Mutilation, Apocalyptic Frost, Rancid Pus) on drums and vocals, Lasse Usbeck Andresen, age 22 (ex-Ilumize, ex-Human Mutilation) on guitar and vocals and Christian Baier Rasmussen, age 22(Ex-error 404, ex-Dark Marshall) on bass and vocals. Through the “Engulfed in Pestilent Darkness” debut album, the hymns have only gotten more desolate and apocalyptic, which has come across the few concerts the band has played from 2017 to now. And that will come equally across on the forthcoming album.

Exmortems Berzerker Legions re-released on limited-edition coloured LP and limited edition CD! Formed in Aarhus, in the center of Denmark, Exmortem spent two years as Mordor until 1994, and then the next four years and first two albums, before they eventually became one of the few extreme metal bands in Denmark to sign to a foreign label. The deed was done with “Berzerker Legions”, their third full-length, released by Hammerheart Records in 2001, and hailed as a masterpiece in Europe’s technical/brutal death metal.

Last Of A Kind” was, last year, more than just a “comeback album” for PANZERCHRIST. Right, it was a whole decade since the release of their previous record “7th Offensive”, but the Danes came back with a vengeance in their eighth offering. New blood joined the hardcore duo of the lineup (bassist and keyboardist Michael “Panzergeneral” Enevoldsen and guitarist Frederik O’Carroll), most notably vocalist Sonja Rosenlund Ahl, whose malicious tone fitted like a glove the newfound black/death metal style of the band. Not surprisingly, the critics loved “Last Of A Kind”, as well as the fans and, after the release, Panzerchrist played several festival shows in Denmark while Michael Enevoldsen began working on the following album. Enter “Maleficium Part I”, a set of material where the band made a conscious decision to steer the Panzerchrist sound towards a more death metal direction. When the group coincidentally bumped into Ove Lungskov (also of Rotten Ocean), they asked him to try out for the drummer position. Ove, a big fan of Panzerchrist’s previous work, initially thought they were joking, but it quickly became clear that he was the perfect fit. His playing style not only matched the band’s previous material but also aligned perfectly with their future vision. With Ove on board, the band leaned even further into death metal, amplifying the speed and brutality with fast blast beats and thunderous double kicks. 1. Blood Leeches2. Weak Is The Flesh3. Mist On The Moat4. Confessions5. Sister Death6. Curse Of Desire7. Savage Daughter8. Ritual
