The Buffalo, NY-based hip-hop collective known as Griselda has been producing some explosive names in underground rap as of late, and becoming renowned and acclaimed for bringing an unparalelled level of raw grit, and stark realism to the scene. Among this new blood is the emcee ElCamino, whose past as a drug dealer has influenced and informed much of his material, and earned him major praise from outlets like Pitchfork, HipHopDX, and The Needle Drop. After a slew of EPs and mixtapes Elcamino released his third, 2019's Don't Eat The Fruit, once again drawing from a combination of dire themes of urban decay and criminal degradation, as well as biblical iconography, to craft a record that crams a lot of hard-edged gloom and mafioso vibes into just a little over 29 minutes. On Don't Eat The Fruit, Elcamino is joined by his fellow Griselda collaborators Benny The Butcher and Conway, as well as guest turns from Meyhem Lauren and Crimeapple. Backing them up is an equally grim bed of production from the likes of Termanology, DJ Shay, Boodeini, and more.

ElCamino, hailing from Buffalo, New York, had a huge 2022 with the release of his Bethlehem EP with Chase Fetti as well as two solo albums, Let There Be Light and ElCamino 3. ElCamino officially signed to Benny The Butcher’s Black Soprano Family imprint in 2022 and was featured on several acclaimed #bsf releases including “80 Bills,” “We Here” and “Saint Maurice” and the B$F album Long Live DJ Shay. Other collaborations with the likes of 38 Spesh, A$ap Ant, Curren$y, Harry Fraud, Jay Worthy and Keisha Plum have proven ElCamino to be one of the hardest-working artists in the game. His notable performance alongside Wiz Khalifa on “Back to Shore” off of the 38 Spesh and Harry Fraud Beyond Belief album was an easy fan-favorite. Here You Go is another high quality release featuring 9 new tracks with ElCamino standing alone and showcasing his supreme lyrical talent. Pressed On Splatter Colored Vinyl! In the last five years ElCamino has gone from up-n-coming Griselda affiliate to fan-favorite B$F member. He released two volumes of his self-titled album series in that time and left heads eagerly awaiting the third instalment. Then, last summer he served up ElCamino 3 and showed what he was really capable of. The acclaimed album features production by Harry Fraud, Camouflage Monk, CeeGee, and guest spots from 38 Spesh, Jay Worthy, A$ap Ant, and more.

Dark Pink Shell • Limited TO 250 Units This is easily the most slept-on project in ElCamino's discography. The 10-track album is laced with his trademark nonchalant flow and was originally planned as his entry in Griselda's On Steroids series. While he has never revealed which producers are behind these hood hits, the album features two appearances by buzzing NYC emcee Madhattan, as well as verses from Loveboat Luciano (b$f), Don P, and Miserable Genius. Not to mention the album has iconic cover-art by design deity Manuel "Cep" Concepcion.

Griselda's young gun Elcamino has become known for his gritty street tales and melodious hooks. And on Block Work he's at his most grimy and at the same time his most melodic. His honesty about his activities in the streets is so unfiltered that it verges on incriminating. The only guest on Block Work is Camino's longtime associate and fellow Buffalo Kids member Billie Essco, who brings his high fashion sensibilities to the standout track "Good Ol' Days." Camino will be dropping upwards of a half dozen projects in 2021 and Block Work sets the standard for the kind of quality fans can expect going forward.

Buffalo, NY-based emcee Elcamino of the underground hip-hop collective Griselda, has released a flurry of EPs and full-lengths of the classic mafioso style of rap from the 90s since hitting the scene in the mid-10s, and has shown no signs of slowing down whatsoever. His material calls back to the works of legends like Raekwon and Mobb Deep with his grim portrayals of crime and urban chaos, inspired and informed by his own past as a drug-dealer. Frequently Elcamino has found himself paired with Griselda cohorts such as Conway, Benny The Butcher, and Westside Gunn, but on his 2019 EP Abraham & Lot, he's riding solo for a more insular and introspective experience. Amidst his usual tales of street thuggery and cocaine-proliferation are occasionally mellow and reflective, backed by orchestral and piano-driven production from DJ Shay.

Since he first appeared on the scene, ElCamino has been steadily building his resume and reputation within hip-hop. Now, there is no debate, he is here to stay.
Although the youngest member of the acclaimed Griselda group, ElCamino has no problem holding his own alongside Westside Gunn, Conway the Machine and Benny the Butcher. Hailing from Buffalo, New York, ElCamino is no stranger to the struggle. His music pays homage to his upbringing and brings an element of realism that has been noticeably absent from rap and hip-hop music in recent years. In fact, his first four projects were recorded while ElCamino was on house arrest for a prior run in with the law.
ElCamino’s eight track, self-titled debut album ElCamino dropped in late 2017, but it still represents some of his best work to date, receiving praise and acclaim from hip-hop critics. A fan-favorite, ElCamino includes features from the legendary Prodigy and Griselda bosses Westside Gunn and Conway the Machine. With Boodeini, Rowland and Lucky Seven each bringing their signature production, ElCamino’s dark and gritty lyrics jump off the track to paint a vivid picture of his struggle on his road to success.
