Chi Modu Merchandise

Some people will recollect the name Chi Modu from his legendary photo works for The Source, the no. 1 hip hop mag of the 90s golden era. Through his work for The Source, Chi Modu developed close relationships with some of the greatest hip hop icons, including Biggie Smalls, 2Pac, LL Cool J as well as Mary J. Blige. It didn’t take too long until he became Director of Photography of The Source – till this day, there’s more than 30 cover photos to his name. Chi Modo sees life through a different lens, which is the reason he was able to shoot some of the most memorable images in hip hop history. Thanks to his disarming manner and unique perspective, Chi Modu managed to capture the musicians in candid, unexpected moments. By the way, Chi Modu started his career as a photographer while being a student at Rutgers; soon after he sharpened his skills at the International Center of Photography.
