Koss DJ Equipment

Koss is the company that’s known for inventing hi-fi stereo headphones back in 1958. Founded in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA, in 1953 by John C. Koss, the Koss Hospital Television Rental Company soon teamed up with engineer Martin Lange to design and produce the original stereo headphones under the name of Koss. In 1958, Koss introduced the legendary SP/3 Sterophones as the first headphones that was available for consumers, since prior to this year, products like this have only been used for communications purposes. The technology was far ahead of its time, so competitors imitated it, while the design was unique. In 1984, Koss came up with another groundbreaking design: The Porta Pro Headphones set a standard for portable listening experiences, both with a dynamic sound and a clean, streamlined design that’s still in demand to date.
