COLOR LP: S&M2, the live set from Metallica & The San Francisco Symphony is the concert event of the year! S&M2 features 20 songs (over 2.5 hours of music) from the two-night event that opened San Franciscos new Chase Center, with many Metallica fan favorites and 2 unique classical songs chosen by San Francisco Symphony Musical Director Michael Tilson Thomas. S&M2 has newly re-mixed and remastered audio for a whole new sound from the original theatrical run in October 2019. Four marbled orange LPsMetallica and San Francisco Symphonys September 6 & 8, 2019 S&M2 concerts were historic on multiple levels: They served as the grand opening of San Franciscos Chase Center, reunited the band and Symphony for the first time since the 1999 performances captured on the Grammy-winning S&M album, and featured the first-ever symphonic renditions of songs written and released since those original S&M shows. The sold out shows were rapturously received by the 40,000 fans who traveled from nearly 70 countries, as well as the media: Rolling Stone raved the group proved that anything was possible, Variety noted an atmosphere buzzing with excitement, while the Mercury News witnessed "a concert that fans will be talking about for decades to come, and Consequence of Sound hailed "a true celebration of Metallica and their musical prowess.S&M2

Limited 180gm vinyl LP pressing. Digitally remastered edition of the second studio album by Metallica, originally released in 1984. The album was recorded in three weeks with producer Flemming Rasmussen at the Sweet Silence Studios in Copenhagen, Denmark. The artwork, based on a concept by the band, depicts an electric chair in the midst of a thunderstorm. The title was taken from a passage in Stephen King's novel The Stand. Although rooted in the thrash metal genre, the album showcased the band's musical maturity and lyrical sophistication. This was partly because bassist Cliff Burton introduced the basics of music theory to the rest of the band and had more input in the songwriting. Instead of relying strictly on fast tempos as on Kill 'Em All, Metallica broadened its approach by employing acoustic guitars, extended instrumentals, and more complex harmonies.

Limited 180gm vinyl LP pressing. Digitally remastered edition of Metallica's 1983 debut album. Kill 'Em All is regarded as a groundbreaking album for thrash metal because of its precise musicianship, which fuses New Wave of British Heavy Metal riffs with hardcore punk tempos. Its musical approach and lyrics were markedly different from rock's mainstream of the early ‘80s and inspired a number of bands who followed in similar manner. Metallica is easily one of the best, most influential heavy metal band of the '80s. Responsible for bringing the genre back to Earth, the bandmates looked and talked like they were from the street, shunning the usual rockstar games of metal musicians during the early '80s. They expanded the limits of thrash, using speed and volume not for their own sake, but to enhance their intricately structured compositions.

Vinyl LP pressing. Digitally remastered edition. The $5.98 E.P.: Garage Days Re-Revisited is an extended play by American heavy metal band Metallica. It was released on August 21, 1987 by Elektra Records. The extended play consisted entirely of covers of late-'70s and early-'80s new wave of British heavy metal bands and hardcore punk music rehearsed in Lars Ulrich's soundproofed garage and then recorded in Los Angeles over the course of six days. It was the group's first recording to feature it's new bassist Jason Newsted, and also the band's first release following the death of second bassist Cliff Burton. They expanded the limits of thrash, using speed and volume not for their own sake, but to enhance their intricately structured compositions.

San Francisco, CA - January 25, 2018 - The Wait is over…Actually, it’s back! Nearly three decades after going out of print, Metallica will release a remastered version of The $5.98 EP - Garage Days Re-Revisited as part of thir ongoing remasters series via their own Blackened Recordings label.

Originally released over 30 years ago on August 21, 1987, the collection features the band covering songs by early Metallica influencers such as Diamond Head, Holocaust, Killing Joke, Budgie, and The Misfits. The five songs from the EP were later included as a part of the 1998 multi-platinum release Garage, Inc., but the band felt it was time to bring it back in the original formats!

The $5.98 EP - Garage Days Re-Revisited was remastered by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering in Hollywood, CA.
