The audio has undergone a complete remastering, achieved through an official collaboration between Word Curb and Girder Music. Originally released in 1974, Petra's first album comes in a Burgundy Vinyl, 180 gram, audiophile pressing, Girder Music presents a hype sticker and 2-sided insert with lyrics and is part of a limited run vinyl series and is now a collectors dream. Petra's debut album, released on Myrrh Records in 1974, coincided with the period when Bob Hartman, Greg Hough, Bill Glover, and John DeGroff were shaping their signature raw, guitardriven rock-n-roll sound infused with the spirit of rural America. Tracks like 'Walkin' In The Light', 'Wake Up', and 'Get Back To The Bible' resonate with energy, propelled by electrifying leads. Notable is the inclusion of the classic slow blues rocker 'Back Sliding Blues'. While a couple of tracks rock hard, the hillbilly bluegrass diversion 'Lucas McGraw' has become a fan favorite. The back cover boldly declares "Petra is... Rock - massive - with spiritual overtones", signaling the beginning of a legendary musical journey. If you missed this album, this is the moment you add this to you collection because now fifty years later, this album still sounds amazing. Classic rock at it's best. The provocateurs of Jesus Rock have enjoyed a long and fruitful career, spanning from 1974 to present, possibly the most consistent and prominent act to record/tour for a five-decade career. The early years of Petra find them in a more guitar-driven and stripped down 70s rock sound in the vein of their contemporaries The Allman Brothers and Cream. Bob Hartman plays very tasty guitar on their debut, arguably his best soloing on titles such as "I Am Not Ashamed," "Storm Comin'" and "Get Back to the Bible." The song structure on "Wake Up" take the listener back to early Santana in it's rock fusion textures. And of course, the highly notable "Backslider Blues," serves as an early example of blues rock in true form.

Originally only released in the UK and Brazil on vinyl, but never in the USA. We did these right. They are fully remastered, 180 gram color records with printed sleeves, lyrics, photos and hype sticker. Meticulously remastered by the esteemed audio engineer, Rob Colwell and expertly crafted design layouts by the talented Scott Waters, each reissued album is 180 gram heavy weight vinyl. While these reissued albums proudly bear the Girder Music Presents hype stickers on their covers, we want to emphasize that this collaboration marks a historic moment, they are not licensed to Girder Records as many of our releases are however this is a true collaboration brought to you through the combined efforts of Girder Music and Word/ Curb Records. Rest assured, the Girder Music touch is evident in every aspect, ensuring that the experience of these reissues lives up to the high standards you have come to expect and many have called the Girder treatment. Only 1000 of each of these are available. Beyond Belief was huge, the band's most successful release ever, peaking at No. 1 on the Christian charts and certified Gold by the RIAA. The radio single "Love" shot to the top of the charts and stayed there, becoming Christian radio's biggest hit of that year. It won the band it's first Grammy, in the Best Rock/Contemporary Gospel Album category, as well as Dove awards for Rock Album of the Year, Rock Recorded Song of the Year for the title track, and Recorded Music Packaging of the Year. More historically, the Gospel Music Association for the first time honored a rock band as Group of the Year, as Petra beat contemporary artists in the competition. The band was at the peak of it's popularity, playing to sold out arenas of fans on yet another nationwide tour. In CCM Magazine's year-end Reader's Choice Awards, the band swept to first place in multiple categories and garnered many votes for pop/rock artist of the year.

Girder Music presents Petra's Come and Join Us with fully remastered audio on both CD and 180 gram Yellow Vinyl. Come and Join Us, their second album, was originally released on Myrrh Records in 1977 (Myrrh MSB-6582). Expanding upon the groundwork established by their debut, this album delivers a blend of loud, hard-driving Jesus rock, with a subtle shift towards a classic rock sound tinged with rural influences. Greg Volz makes his debut, unveiling his remarkable vocals on tracks such as 'Woman Don't You Know' and a rendition of the Argent anthem 'God Gave Rock & Roll To You'. 'Holy Ghost Power' and 'Sally' introduce funky grooves and gritty rhythms, while 'Where Can I Go' and 'Without Him' emerge as robust rockers brimming with energy. The album is adorned with impressive guitar licks, complemented by a standout drum solo featured on 'Woman Don't You Know'. Amidst the fervor, only one ballad, the closing anthem 'Ask Him In', filled the void for many Christians that were encouraged to discarded secular albums. The audio has been fully remastered, featuring an official collaboration between Word Curb and Girder Music. Originally released in 1977, the CD comes with an 8-page booklet containing lyrics in a jewel case. The vinyl is pressed on 180 gram Yellow Vinyl. Only 1000 of each of these are available. After a long and successful tour for Unseen Power, the band took a year off before recording and touring for the followup album Wake-Up Call. With a changing musical climate in the mid-1990s, Petra decided to not work with the Elefante brothers for the first time in six records. Instead they worked with Brown Bannister, who at the time had won eight Grammy awards. Wake-Up Call stayed on Billboard's Christian albums chart for more than five months and was the third consecutive Petra album to receive a Grammy for Best Rock Gospel Album. The band also won a Dove award for Rock Album of the Year. Wake Up Call is an iconic album from the legendary rock band Petra. With it's captivating melodies, thought-provoking lyrics, and powerful messages, this album is a must-have for fans of rock music with a spiritual touch.
