Item Description
A new music project featuring a rising young actress has begun. The project is called "Magico", a Portuguese word meaning "magical." This initiative aims to capture the fleeting, magical moments of young actresses through music (singing) and introduce them seasonally. For the final and fourth installment, the Spring Edition, Hitomi Himari takes center stage!

As the final chapter of the project, the Spring (Primavera) Edition features Hitomi Himari, who is set to appear in the 2025 NHK morning drama "Anpan." She also starred in the gradually rising cult-hit film Jigoku no SE (directed by Sawa Kawakami), which was released last year. As part of this project, she covers the iconic song "Koi wa Momoiro" from Haruomi Hosono’s 1973 debut solo album Hosono House, which has recently gained attention through cover albums by artists from Japan and abroad. The cover will be released as a 7-inch single.

Hitomi's voice, unembellished yet strangely captivating, is directed by Seiichi Yamamoto, a musician renowned as one of the leading figures in avant-pop and a long-time pioneer of Japan’s alternative music scene. As the project’s chief producer, Yamamoto brings his signature artistry to the production.

A passionate music lover, Hitomi’s special talent is singing and playing acoustic guitar. For the B-side, which will be released at a later date both physically and digitally, she covers "Shuake," a beloved song by Ayano Kaneko, an artist she has long admired. Her voice, overflowing with transparency, creates an exceptionally soothing experience.

The artwork, featuring stunning photographs of Hitomi taken by Naoko Kumagai, also deserves attention. Kumagai, who has worked on numerous photo books of renowned actresses, is responsible for the visual direction across all Magico project releases, alongside Seiichi Yamamoto.
