Geteye Kid

Geteye's influences are diverse and reflect his love of melodic sampling. His main inspirations include such iconic figures as Madlib, J Dilla, Kankick, Hi-Tek, Mo Kolours, Afta1, KNLO and Iman Omari. In France, artists such as Onra, Astronote and Barrio have also had an impact on Geteye's creationThe new "KID" album is the culmination of a long-awaited physical project with the Dooinit music label. Inspired by his recent fatherhood, Geteye explores an eclectic mix of jazz, soul, funk and Brazilian music to create a unique vibe. The project features some heavy collaborations with artists such as ETO and Guilty Simpson, but it's the track "Deep Fake" with French rapper Mr JL that particularly appeals to Geteye. This collaboration is the realization of an artistic dream and his guest enhances the instrumental.
