Although the Smiths were a beloved band in Italy, they had the misfortune to play live only once. A single concert, the one at the Teatro Tendastrice in Rome on May 14, 1985, during the Meat Is Murder tour. A spring Tuesday that would go down in history. The Manchester band would later pass through Italy for two appearances, but only on television. The first - at the Sanremo festival at the PalaRock - and then, between 9 and 10 March, they took the stage at the 1987 Spring Festival. Shortly thereafter, in August 1987, Johnny Marr would leave the group. To make a long story short, this performance is quintessential and a must have for all of the die-hard supporters !

It was a concert of particular importance, the one the Grateful Dead held on 3 November 1991 in San Francisco: on that date the Californian band commemorated with 'laughter, love and music' the promoter to whom they owed everything or almost everything, Bill Graham, who had died a few days earlier (on 25 October) in a helicopter accident. The special and emotionally touching occasion was appropriately celebrated by Jerry Garcia and his bandmates with the presence of illustrious guests on stage. Sponsored and broadcasted by Wzmf-fm from Menomonee Falls, WI. The Legion of Mary was a short-lived iteration of the Garcia & Saunders band, playing only 60 concerts between late 1974 and 1975. The band also featured John Kahn (Bass), Ron Tutt (Drums) and Martin Fierro (Saxophone).

This concert, put together to celebrate Dutch music magazine Vinyl's fifth anniversary, was the Smiths' first show in the Netherlands. "Miserable Lie", "I Don't Owe You Anything" and "These Things Take Time" returned to the setlist. They were rarely performed at this point in time. The latter two titles were almost at the end of their live career. During the recent tour of the UK "Hand In Glove" had been the standard set opener and its intro extended by a few bars. For some reason, even if the song was still opener in Amsterdam, the normal intro was brought back. After the latter number Morrissey introduced the next planned one by saying: "Thank you, this song is called 'Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now'." The song had just been recorded and it was planned to be released as a single one month later, so this live performance was much closer to the studio version we are familiar with.

Taken from the ‘No Prayer on the Road’ tour, this setlist was recorded at the iconic Wembley Arena on 17the December 1990.This tour marked the arrival of a new guitarist, Janick Gers, who replaced Adrian Smith. Following their large-scale stages used during the 1980s, the band opted for a less complicated production for this tour, with bassist Steve Harris commenting: ‘We thought Seventh Son... the show was just a bit hard to control. I mean, the real Eddie and the backdrops I thought were amazing, but the giant icebergs and stuff were a bit cheesy, I think, and we just wanted to keep all that out and turn it into a gig like a massive club performance again, which we really managed to do. And having Janick in the band kicked everyone more than necessary up the arse, too, because, being new, he was so enthusiastic about everything. I think he made us open our eyes a bit and see things in a new way.’

Warsaw was the planned debut album by the English post-punk band Joy Division, while they were briefly associated with RCA Records. Recorded in May 1978, it comprised eleven tracks now known collectively as the "rca Sessions". However, the band were disappointed with the label's post-production work and the deal fell through, the album being scrapped. Four of the songs recorded during the RCA sessions had previously been recorded at the end of 1977, and it was these older recordings that the band would release the following month as their debut An Ideal for Living EP.

The time was right when Joe Strummer and Joe Simonon of The Clash decided to take the so-called long and winding road. This famous show at the Station Pub in Gateshead was more than an intimate affair. And it was part of the acoustic busking tour the band took after the release of their latest studio album, Cut The Crap. This set is dated May 11, 1985, and it’s a brilliant example of the rootsy folk heritage the two were delivering at the time. This particular recording was produced while the band was performing outside The Station in Gateshead, Newcastle in front of what sounds like a lucky 50 or so people! You hear a single acoustic guitar with some clavinets or wood blocks clapping out the beat...and then the reaction from the crowd in -between. The sound is crisp and clear even if the band was playing "off-mike". A rarity in its own.

Recorded on the 1978 tour promoting his Cats Under The Stars album, presented here is The Jerry Garcia Band live at The Capitol Theatre in Passaic, New Jersey. The early show from this evening was simulcast live on Wnew in New York City and has long been a staple of Garcia collections. This particular JGB lineup included both Donna Jean Godchaux and Maria Muldaur on support vocals. This recording is also remarkable for John Kahn being so prominent in the mix, which gives listeners a fine opportunity to hear the telepathic musical relationship he established with Garcia during the years.

This broadcast collects seven songs performed at that October 6, 1991 show, as well as two from a concert at the same venue on April 25, 1992. Many of the tracks from Badmotorfinger are spotlighted, along with a sensational cover of Black Sabbath's Into the Void,' with different lyrics taken from the words of Chief Seattle.
