In the tale, Tom Thumb sows white pebbles to find his way through the forest. Today, as a solo artist, René Lacaille sows as many nuggets on a pathto the music of his childhood.He creates segas in homage to those he listened to at the time. He also pays tribute to his brothers Maximin, Renaud and Agniel Lacaille.He creates melodies that recall the lost paradise of his musical childhood, wishing to share them beyond the years with an audience unfamiliar with them.He may have left Réunion Island over forty years ago, but it has never left him. It is at the heart of his music, transcending all influences. Having celebrated it on stage for 70 years, he simply offers this music, magnified by the accordion, the master instrument of séga lontan, in a solo album long dreamt of and finally realized.“i work every day on my instrument, I can't live without playing and I always go back to the old segas, those of the elders, like Loulou Pitou, Vinh San, Joron...
